4 things you NEED to know before you visit Maui, Hawaii (after the 2023 wildfires)

- Are you wanting to visit Maui? Watch this video first.
I've been back in Maui for the last couple of months, and if you remember, I left a few days after the wildfires of August 8th, 2023. It was the craziest time of my life, and I made an entire video of my experience that you can see here:
It's been a year since the fires and a year since I've been back on the island. So, I thought it was a perfect time to open up and talk about what life is like in Maui a year after the wildfires.
I make this disclaimer in the video, but just to reiterate: I am NOT a native Hawaiian. Therefore, I will never be able to understand what these people are going through fully. However, I can feel, share, and sympathize with their pain. I was there when the fires happened and I was there to help clean up (before I left to travel.) Hawai'i has always had a special place in my heart and I always try to understand and appreciate the gifts these islands have brought me.
All of this information is based on what I have seen and/or discussed with locals, friends, and tourists since being back on the island.
I hope you enjoy! ❤️
