Getting caught in DC rush hour seems like it could have been the most frustrating and least exciting experience you could potentially have on a trip like this. I'd like to experience transport culture in other nations! Hope it went fairly smooth otherwise!
That guy driving the “truck” on pallets, we use to have that in Brazil. They are transporting the chassis to the cabin factory, saves on transport. In my state it was busses, so from Mercedes factory (chassis/drivetrain) it would go to Marcopolo for example to add all the cabin. It was my dream job as a kid, looked so cool to drive a chassis with only one seat and a helmet.
Great road trip and thanks. Many people told me I was crazy to drive the entire Pan American Highway, from Florida to Argentina. After two years and many amazing experiences I'm back in Florida to tell all about my fantastic trip. I also drove a Tundra with a truck camper, volunteered at schools, orphanages, turtle saving camps, and a host of other activities in exchange for a free place to park my camper. Never had any issues, made so many life long friends. Keep traveling my friend. Cheers @Tales of the Pan American Highway, Bernard
