- This is Tito The Raccoon's typical day. He starts out with a quick walk around the block followed by some training. Its important for him to learn how to perform tricks and listen to my commands. After training he gets to go and play with his ferret friends. Listen to all the cute and funny raccoon and ferret noises! Finally, he has dinner and then goes to bed!
This was one of my most frequently requested videos. Ive been frequently asked (FAQ) to create a video showing Titos day to day life. The ferrets are part of Titos day to day routine as well!

Debbie B While raccoons are nocturnal, it isn’t uncommon for them to get stuff done during the day. Seeing a raccoon during the day isn’t a reliable way to tell if they have rabies. I’d say just assume all wild animals could be carrying some kind of disease, because not all diseases present themselves, but I’m sure you know this. I just want to point this out for others.

@@HelenaMikasTito was a baby found in an attic! They made numerous attempts to contact rehabilitation centers, but had no luck. No one could take him. Would you prefer they let him die or just dump him out to fend for himself. I made a benign well meant comment that raccoons are cute. So what, they are cute. Why get snarky. I love them, I think they are lovely quirky sweet creatures, the babies are adorable. However the mother raccoon often make their homes in human homes by destroying roofing materials and being very destructive to get into houses, roofs, wall cavities to find cosy places to live and can do massive damage. Tito was found on his own left in an attic, where Mum has obviously made her home, and often Mother raccoons get run over or killed by dogs, bobcats, pumas or other animals and the babies are left to die because no one knows they are even there tucked up in attics or the eaves of houses. Would you rather that happened, would you rather they shoved him out into the cold unable to fend for himself, they tried a number of rehab people and couldn't get anyone to take him. What is hard to understand about that 🙄. So they gave him a home, he will be in a cage at night because they can chew through all sorts of things, the toughest of roofing materials, so for his own safety as well as their own unless you would rather he was electrocuted when he bites through a an electric cable. Some people in the US leave their dogs outside at night on chains or running round their back yards, but yet you have an issue with a rescued raccoon living a cosy looked after life. Get a grip you fecking idiot!!

Raccoons have fairly dexterous front paws. Tito could probably be trained for some kind of factory assembly job to earn his keep.

I walk my dogs every night or two and our oldest one is fucking ripped. It’s a workout in itself when she grabs the leash and proceeds to chew it up.

Raccoons are awesome animals. They are usually way to wild and crazy to be pets, but yours seems very chill. We used to feed them in our back yard growing up, and they were great to watch. There were many generations and the mommas would bring their babies to show us lol. Cheers and thanks for sharing!

What’s really cool is he understands the “hold it” command enough to know that he can hold it with his feet too and it’s still correct. Shows he understands the command not just the action limited to his hands

That's what took me most by surprise and the fact they have hand dexterity to open a cabinet open a bottle and possibly OD if he decided too. It's wild, they're very capable.

When I was a child I went to a zoo and see the racoons for the first time I gave my pistachio to a racoon he hold my hand and eat the pistachio while looking at my eye then he shared other pistachios with his friends I was very amazed but I don't know if I can pet any in Turkey. I am still amazed and missing that racoon have been in that zoo for at least 10 times but never seen them again :(

For all the idiots who keep telling the owner to let him go back into the wild, that choice will literally get Tito killed lol. He's been domesticated since he was born so he is missing a bunch of survival skills compared to wild raccoons... At least he's being fed properly in this dude's home versus outside at night eating food thats on the verge of spoiling.
Tamed not domesticated. Domestication is when you breed for generations to make more docile or to have some trait useful for ppl.

@@cocoadances1329 They are probably right. Domesticated IIRC means bred to live with humans for generations. Like, a fox can be kind of tamed but it's still not a pet animal. Some Soviet scientists started an experiment that is still going on to artificially breed domestic foxes and those are different than their "natural" counterparts and are more friendly to humans despite being raised in the same conditions

Yea I was thinking the same thing. You can’t all of a sudden domesticate a wild animal. Raccoons are natural foragers, but if they don’t have to search for food, they will for the most part behave. But like all wild animals they are unpredictable and will attack if they’re in the mood to. Also caging a hyper animal isn’t going to help. Probably give him anxiety since they are used to having a lot more room in the wild. But whatever floats your boat
