In this video I ride a 2011 Yamaha R6 that Euro Cycles of Tampa Bay (Tampa Bay Motos) has in stock. I am in search of a track bike and this one fits the bill. It is reasonably priced, minimal technology, and doesnt have too much power. However, this is UA-cam and whatever I buy has to garner attention so if this does not do it then it will not work.

Everyone seems to think a dream bike has to be 1000cc or more but a 600cc work of art R6 is enough to touch a man’s heart
And when you finally find a good deal on your dream bike, you find out that it is some rich dudes clapped out track bike.
The old gen r6 with that wasp-esque front end styling is definitely my fav, no clue why they did away with it.

My r6 started as a matte gray street bike. Crashed it on track and made it a full blown race bike. Been building it ever since i got it a couple years back. Thing is a beast on track and i will never get rid of it
2024 ZX6-R with Full Exhaust, ECU Flash and Velocity Stacks... 125 hp to the wheel..She's a Screamer..
It feels like a much more robust bike compared to other 600's
its highly recommended to get a 1000cc harley cruiser for the track!! LMAO

If the price is right get the R6, Perfect track Bike, And if you get it for low enough you can mod it out For the track. One of my buddies has a 2009 CBR 600 rr He rides in A group, So he's fast as f, Dusting everybody on all their new bikes, Larger displacements like 1000 cc, Smashing on BMWS1K.. It's about riding skills and that's a perfect bike to start Really learning track and how to get faster, Actually find the limits of these machines, And yourself..

It has road suspension, road lines and pads, road fairings etc, but sort that and it's good to go. He'd have been better off just getting a used actual track or race bike if he wants to 'push his limits'.

The Yamaha r6 is the greatest bike ever made in my opinion. Quick shift and auto blipper can be fitted to them since 2007 no other 600cc bike has that! I dont think any other brand 600cc has autoblipper even today !!! They win every 600 class championship since 2017 when the newer model came out. Looks the best, sounds the best
Broski, Im not a Zuke guy ..not by a long shot but a G750 fully sorted is a weaponnnn!! I track a 1199r , A group, and its a gorilla w a ping pong paddle super fun but wears me out . I took out a g750 for a sesh that makes 142 on MR12 and omg I can ride that bike at race winning pace for hours . Take a look at a g750. Also the amount of after market support for it is massive . If I was doing a 600 ..Id do a gen 2 636 build. Im 6'2 205 street clothes so I appreciate a bigger 600.

08-16 R6 for sureeee. Id maybe look at one that's already decently set up for the track.
If you really get into track riding, you'll soon want suspension, brakes, dampener, clips ons, list goes on and on. That stuff gets expensive.
On the flip side, a stock to full track weapon R6 build would be pretty sick.
The 2008 and 2009 R6 have the most power of all the R6 years I believe

I think this is the perfect opportunity for you to try the GSXR750 out. You'll have that low/medium range power you're looking for with basically the same weight of a 600. Plus, its about time we see a suzuki on the channel, i mean damn 😂

D! Try a k5 to k7 gsxr 750 for the track. More midrange and top end power with the same frame and only a tiny bit heavier

If you're looking for a middleweight track weapon, I'd recommend either waiting for the KTM RC 990 or getting a Triumph Daytona 675R. The Japanese 600s have been done to death at this point.

And yes this design has still its own unique style, not too much looking like it wants to be an R1. The model after this one looks like a light R1 design-wise or like a modified R7

the r6 is sweet but you made it FastLane. the new stuff comes with factory quick shifters and other trick stuff. i know suzuki and kawasaki's 600's both come with quick shifters and for the track thats always a nice set up . the kawi's front suspension is a little different then what im used to. the tops (pre load / rebound adjustments are not the same on both forks ) and when i was looking around on a friends bike i couldnt find any thing connecting them together like big money liter bikes. hope your out chasing on something right now for us all. i sure wish i was but sadly banging nights . enjoy it and #livetoride

R6 sounds so good. I love mine. Since it's for the track, you'll be keeping it in high RPM anyway. If the price is right, go for it.

Zx6r is wider I think then the r6 so you would feel more comfortable on it

I remember my 03 Gixxer 600 had an even more aggressive sitting position, of course I'm only 5'11" 178lbs, I test rode an R6 the same week and chose the Gixxer because it was lighter those years, back in late 06

In my opinion the R6 is one of the best track bikes. Easy to get aftermarket parts and it doesn’t break the bank to replace parts if you lay it down.
Best 600cc to me is honda cbr. I had a 92' cbr 600cc f2. I love that thing.❤❤

Those are aftermarket Motodynamic headlights. Very nice high-quality American made headlights. They sell out pretty every year they're made
If you decide to go with an r6, play with the sprockets and switch them up. I went from stock to a 15/47 and now a 15/48. The 15/47 felt great.

I’ll definitely say, the 2006 to 2016 Yamaha R6 has the sexiest tail section in the 600cc class!! The body style is pretty timeless & still looks great in today’s day & age. It just sucks they went from 2006 to 2016 doing absolutely nothing with it, but basically change the damn colors of the fairings.😂 The 60th anniversary with the gold wheels still is the nicest combo tho! On the R6 & the R1.👌🏽🔥💯

Would be perfect, but i think your comfort shouldn't be ignored. Track days will be hours.. your knee hurts already you gonna feel beat up on that. A track build would be amazing never seen a motovlogger do one personally.

You need a ZX-6R track bike in your life, but maybe I'm a bit biased. I've owned a 2013 R6 fully kitted for the track/racing but I'm taller and couldn't get comfy with the ergos. Now I currently on a 13' 636 and it checks all the boxes for me.
Take a big wheel on the track you will be able to do spin outs the the curves lol...
Zx6r 2014 is so clear but yamaha r6 is ICONIC
