Ju-87 STUKA - Restoring a Legend Part 1 of 2

- This is a great presentation by @FlyingHeritage shortly after they unveiled their Junkers Ju-87 R-4 Stuka restoration back in March of 2019. Sadly the museum has closed since March 2020 due to COVID pandemic and Vulcan Inc's (Company that owns and manages FHCAM and other organizations the late Paul Allen owned) lack of interest in preserving history.
This part of the presentation provides a detailed description of the restoration of the aircraft up to its current condition. I hope you enjoy this amazing presentation and take the time to show Vulcan, Inc. and FHCAM how much you miss the museum. - Авто та транспорт
Can’t wait to see it done.
I've some comments about this, so I'll come back when I have more time. Love your video on your project.
Watching from Old Harbour Jamaica.
won't be long--will be seeing it on platinum fighter sales
Yeah, right? At least then hopefully people who know how to manage a museum will have it.
I hope Kermit weeks aquires it he is a good aviator collector and cares for history of the planes
Great project and really sad to hear, it had stopped. Being from far away, I always liked Mr. Muszala's technical tours and insights on the Museum's channel.
Hope, someone can take over, K. Weeks, after finishing the Bf-108? ;-)
If you know Kermit, you must have known Richard Wilkinson (Ponder, Texas). If not and you see Kermit, tell him Richard's longest serving "protégé" says hello, Ja?
So are they not finishing the ME262 with original engines? They were so close. This Stuka needs to be finished as well. I believe the Mig-29 has already been sold to the guy who started Draken. It's a shame what happens when someone with a vision passes away. I hope some of the other warbird collectors can keep these projects going.
This is just a shame. Short sighted vision that doesn't understand what Mr. Allen was trying to accomplish. No matter what, it is his vision, and his money. It's a shame that people who did not earn the money now have control of it. I hope someone who is responsible will purchase the AC from the museum and continue with restorations in progress. Just a shame.
Sadly no one will. I hate thoes kids of people
It's a shame you didn't take the time to explain your comment, too.
@@BROKEN-PILOT Mr. Allen's only heir was his sister. Mr. Allen arranged from his huge estate and corporate assets to fund his museum; I think for at least another 50 years. His sister and/or the accountants didn't honor his vision and changed the estate and closed multiple museums and other assets sponsored by Mr. Allen. His sister began selling some of the aircraft while the museum was closed. The entire museum and collection was recently sold to another billionaire investor who will hopefully get things back on track.
If the Stuka restoration goes for sale the aviator the I trust the most and deserves this plane is no other than Kermit weeks!
+ exospace man The entire museum collection has been sold to a new warbird collector. The info is still very new and everyone will have to wait for decisions on the unfinished projects.
@@FiveCentsPlease they will just not do anything. They'll just restore the allied craft and leave the axis bombers to rot, because of politics.
@@user-ri2rr5gg6n If they don't want to keep it, a flying Stuka will sell for a lot more money than a pile of parts. Good business sense.
Someone with passion and deep pockets should take this over. Kermit Weeks.
will it fly when it is restored?
+@christopherkehoe3402 From the start, the project was a flying restoration. The engine is already tested and flight certified. (No public videos of the engine testing.) The museum and aircraft collection are now under new owners, so wait and see how they will proceed with the projects and flying aircraft. The museum plans to reopen in late May and possibly move to another location in future years.
actually it wasn't a lack of interest but rather it was his sister (executrix) who is trying to fund Allen's philanthropy's. the collection has been sold to a Walton heir hopefully he will continue the work
this just goes to show how important estate planning is
+ @peterkurilecz2972 Allen's sister and the mangers of his estate restructured the portfolio and cut funding for FHCAM as well as several other museums and other funding projects. I think they eliminated Vulcan Entertainment which funded the museum. Allen's portfolio is pretty large and is still funding entities such as the Seattle Seahawks.
The complete collection has been purchased by Wallmarts founders grandson. Unknown is weather the museum will stay in Washington state or move to Arkansas.
According to their website it will remain in Washington. They said they'd be reopening "early next year."
@@fight2flyphoto Still some confusion whether the collection will move to another location in a couple of years. Nothing official.
sell it to Kevin Wheatcroft, at least he will take good care of it.
Kermit weeks is a good aviator
it's hard to bear to hear the fool who coughs during most of the speech
boo hoo
Turn on the captions, then.
@@stanhauser the coughing was extremely annoying. he should have left. Very rude and ignorant.
It's OK. It was my father. He's dead now
My thoughts exactly...selfish t*at..
