Happy anniversary to you both! I know planning a whole wedding in real life can be super stressful so don't let yourself get all up in your head if you can avoid it! Remember it's about the marriage, not the wedding, and it seems like you and Dan have a really solid relationship, so don't put a ton of pressure on yourselves for the wedding celebration. Remember it's just an excuse to have a party, it's supposed to be fun.

i would also love to see a fancy wedding venue with bridal suite and all! maybe even a groom suite as well, it always makes me laugh to see when the grooms' suite is all like rustic wood and logs and pool tables and the bridal suite is fancy white makeup tables and huge mirrors

6:25 ive been using the wedding venue type for my church and cemetery lot, random sims do appear anyway and just run around doing random things like using the toilet and all walking to a specific point on the lot, staring into space and turning around again.
generic lot or national park probably work no different

(an aside, I also fucked up my hair recently. left my bangs looking a little too close to if my haircut was a 'soft mullet' (this was not intended) and it ended up growing on me and i've gotten a ton of compliments, despite I was freaking out at first. i hope the same happens with your haircut and its all alright in the end!!)

Simsie, you should make a wedding venue where the sims can also spend the night there. Like a cabin or a suite, i dont know.
But something where the sims can kind of not get married and inmediately go home.
There are fairy lights in cottage living debug that are supposed to be hanging drom the tree that look so nice! You should have used them here.

Happy anniversary to you and Dan, Kayla! Funnily enough, I uploaded a wedding venue in Ciudad Enamorada only yesterday... It's nowhere near as pretty as yours, though. :)
There is a way to do a room on the platform like you tried, but it's fiddly and best done once all walls are in place and i think painted as well because any changes will delete the roof.
Basically you build a second room detached from the main house, add a floor above the one you need (so if you're doing a roof for the second floor of the main house, you need to build it on the 3rd floor of this detached room), add roof to that one then raise/lower it to the height you need. You then drag it over corner by corner (not pick up and place) to the correct place. One thing to note, it cannot be touching the detached room and the main house at the same time because of conflicting block clusters, so it takes a bit of back and forth dragging. Hopefully this makes sense!

i wonder if setting placemats encourages sims to use the right tables at venues same as it does in the house? i know if you set the table and use "call to meal" on the dish then your sims will all eat together at that table, so maybe it just needs to be set up manually for weddings as well
