  • This is the small Knife Jig I built and why I like it better than the SVM-00 small knife jig they sell. I have placed some links in the description below to help you get parts when available they do have an email notification when back in stock.

Hey, I do appreciate the time you took to do the video. Now that I.see what it looks like I will watch out for these parts and look for something similar! Your videos have helped me out and the t\Tormek is on the bench again and not on the floor!

If you find the clamp I have used let me know and I’ll send you the Rod part to make it. So all you will need is the drill stop

I found that the clamp that comes with a lansky system works well for small blades like a Swiss Army knife.

Nice tip for the Lansky and Tormek owners

@@ALXSHARPEN No problem, the newer lansky clamps have a slight cutout near the tip that allows you to clamp about 2mm of the knife spine, works really well for these small blades. That’s been my go to on my tormek for when I don’t want to fiddle with the small knife jig. I have about 5 old lanky kits kicking around the shop from when I started out haha 😂 needed to find some use for them.

Do you think this clamp would work from gritomatic? KB-CEN20-4MM

It could if there is a way to tap and attach a rod in the middle of the clamp. The one I used already had the perfect hole can't see the back side on this one but it has potential

I notice you have an attachment that changes the horizontal tool rest to vertical for honing. Where did you find that?

So I now know why this has become so hard to get this clamp is (Made in Ukraine) and as we all know they have a war going on so making knife clamps probably isn't a high priority, but hopefully when the war ends maybe we can get them again and I can get the part I make if we can source the clamps at some point.

I dislike using Tormek’s small knife jig. You should consider a patent or trademark.

Well the only part I made was the straight part the centering clamp use to be more easily available but that wasn’t made by me. So I probably couldn’t get a patent. If I could or find the clamp I would consider selling them because mine is awesome compared to the small knife jig

@@sparkleon77 the clamp is (Made in Ukraine) that's why I'm sure it's been so unavailable we just need a war to end and hope the factory that made them wasn't blown up or find something just as good or better.
