I like that the family had their own opinions but didn't push them. When the bride said she loved the dress, they all backed off and supported her. The Ireland version is by far the most wholesome.

As a rule the Irish are low maintenance. No need to be getting worked up over it 😅 I always wondered how fake these shows were, like getting people to say certain things and to do retakes... but not the Irish one! I know this shit is real. It’s like the show took a Xanax and made a cup of tea.

I think she was cool headed and really nice. The title does not go with her character; calling her fussy is outright RUDE. More like a click bait title.

She is fuzzy and cold...with a customers like her, let her roaming into the dresses (for sale in her range price) to see which is the ones that catch her attention.
I watched this episode earlier, she wasn't fussy? She knew what she didn't like, why should she compromise!? In the end she looked stunning.. just the choice of the word 'fussy' seems wrong to me.
Just the same as the fact she said: 'Oh, I'm so sorry, I'm so difficult.' And the guy said she wasn't and it was okay, but TLC still decided she was a 'fussy' bride

My SIL, who married my hubby’s younger brother in 2012, is from Dublin, and she had one one of the prettiest wedding gowns I had seen in decades. Nothing like anything I had seen on a bride. She looked feminine and regal, and it wasn’t ornate all over the place.
She never appeared rude, and she just wanted to feel like a bride in her dress. How was she fussy at all? TLC ya'll need to stop click baiting

She wants sleeves but he brings her sleeveless dress after sleeveless dress. If she's like me I'd feel uncomfortable all day if my arms were out. Idk why they don't make more wedding dresses with beautiful 1/2 to 3/4 sleeves.

I agree that there should be more dresses with 1/2 & 3/4 sleeves. The most flattering formal dress shapes for me are either V-necked sleeveless (but NOT with just shoulder straps, or strapless/bustier) or 3/4 length sleeves.
I picked out my dress a year ago and went to about 5 shops. I wanted sleeves and saw few, tried on even fewer. Sleeveless gowns are the most popular, sadly.
Yeah it's really not easy finding a sleeved wedding dress. There's not that much selection. I originally wanted a 3/4 sleeve, tried several at different bridal shops but ended up with a cap sleeve instead.
Ya, I’m a sleeves gal, too, Terri. I feel for women looking for bridal gowns these days. Sleeves used to be so much more prevalent on bridal gowns.
Ooh, I absolutely LOVE the gown she chose. She looks amazing. I know how she feels about sleeves, but the tiny little caps on this dress are so perfect. She looked really happy in it, I'm so glad for her

Well damn, I’d want sleeves too. My arms break out and I’m self conscious of that. Does that make me fussy? No. It makes me a person with an insecurity I’m not trying to focus on during mine and my soon-husband’s big day!
You are smart to think of that. I used to get those darned upper-arm spots when I was younger, too. (And so my wedding dress had semi-sheer long sleeves.) Who needs the extra stress!
Sleeves make you wider and squater. Unless you're thin. The breakout can be covered with rice powder or BB cream.
Paula Barrocas I know of plenty of heavier people who prefer to wear sleeves to conceal their arms. I’m not trying to make a problem even worse by clogging my pores with makeup, even B.B. I appreciate the suggestion though!
I prefer sleeves, period. The right sleeves do not make the arms look bigger, and can in fact camouflage a big arm. When I was younger and thinner, whenever I went sleeveless on a hot summer day, it wouldn’t be unheard of for someone close to me to ask if I had gained weight. Seriously. Sleeves camouflage big arms, not to mention things like scars, acne or keratosis pilaris.

Salem Bitch I dont think that makes you fussy! There's a lot happening on your wedding day and you'll have the photos forever. You should be comfortable and not stressing out about your dress or your arms or anything else!
And this is why you shouldn't try on a gown outside your budget, you fall in love with something you can't get and you are stuck with that image in your head/heart.
I liked the long sleeve dress best. But, she looks lovely in the gown she chose.

Omg, I loved this woman - she delivers a punchline so perfectly, she's gorgeous and statuesque, and she WASN'T fussy. Also, the dresses were all beautiful, but real - not a transparent lace bustier on a tutu or sparkly pasties or some other nonsense.
Dress 3 did it for her

I really like the style of the Ireland version. I don't know how to explain it, but the overall atmosphere is so calm and enjoyable.It somehow feels very sophisticated And the host has one stunning pair of eyes, I don't remember ever meeting someone with a blue as vibrant as his.

Wedding dresses still have a long way to go in regards to flattering women's bodies, especially plus-size women. Dress after dress on all these videos have the same fit...a lot left to be desired. A plus size dress should have a larger and prominent bust, it should be a low v-neck or a bustier. There needs to be more high waists, less big and fluffy poofy skirts, and the sleeves need to be more styled, not just extra fabric randomly added to cover the arms. An off-shoulder sleeve, proportioned to the hip framing of the dress, along with an accentuated and framed waist. Not enough choices for women in general and plus size in particular. They add much too much fabric to plus-size clothing, both formal and informal, and it just adds weight.
Agreed. I have a few family members and friends who are plus size and it has been a struggle for them to find clothing that not only fits them, but flatters them as well. As someone who's on the tiny AND short size, I sympathize with them. I've gone with them to find clothes and have seen first hand how hard it is.

I really like this guy‘s approach.... down to earth, listening to the wishes, positive attitude. And am glad Gemma found her dress (which IS stunningly beautiful on her).

I'm a little annoyed by the title, this bride wasn't "fussy" at all she was more particular on the type of look she wanted. A woman is allowed to be choosy when making a choice on something as important as her wedding gown. She was entirely to young for some of the dresses the consultants were trying on her. She looked uncomfortable and unsure because most likely they were dresses that the consultant suggested and NOT what the brides vision was. Sometimes the consultants miss the mark when dressing a more curvy body, forgetting WE LIKE TO STAND OUT & look BEAUTIFUL also and sleeves and a high neck line are not a necessity when fitting a bride who isn't a size 2!

I need TLC to head to other countries. In Africa, Their wedding dresses are sights I have never seen before. Bridesmaids dresses are bold, colorful, &compliment the body.

I actually liked the long sleeve dress as it was more flattering on her figure!
She is not fussy, she just has some body insecurities and knows what she wants. Dress #3 looked fabulous on her, the color brings out her skin and makes her look like a doll.

they should have shown a picture of her in the previous dress. Usually it is the shape and one or two details that the person likes, and they could have used that to help pare down the possible dresses.

If they say fussy, picky or whatever similar word in these shows then I never agree with them. Sometimes the bride gets to try on just 3 or 5 dresses and they say she cannot decide at all!!! I'm like.. wtf, I think I'd try on at least 50 dresses and then I'd be still not sure with the final one. Many women dream of that moment since they are 5y old. They should know it. It's not like deciding which ice-cream you'd like to eat today (and even then it's sometimes so difficult to choose :D )
