Thank you Steve. It's great to see behind the scenes. Audrey's a fantastic dog! All the best.
Thanks Jeffrey! Shes the best
Fuck, I cried when u dropped the helix on the stones. Not even a carpet scrap... you are a man of conviction! ;-)
I've put it through worse! Lol its proven too durable to baby 🥸😉
Mine has bb dents in it from someone shooting the gawd damn box thinking it was empty, talk about pissed off.... none of the glass was hit.... Helix is tough
Thats wild! Lol
@@jeremymarlow1802 What kind of crowd were you playing for?
I'm on the heavier side of rock, but it's always nice to hear a very well played music, great sound and tones too, good job guys!
Means a lot! Thank you. I love me some heavier stuff when I get to play it
Wow, compliment from the boss on camera. Good job, Steve!
Gotta save that clip!
Had to feel good to be playing again! Congrats!
Absolutely! Thank you
Nice !! Keep up the video's and good luck with the band !
Thank you! Will do!
“Drop the ballad” hahaha love that!
Keep that energy up!
Playing outdoors is always challenging. My brain hurt a little bit when you put your Helix on crushed gravel. :) the show sound great on the UA-cam. :)
I should've brought my own stage like Bob! Lol I have put it through worse 😄
Omg, yes...
The Helix on gravel! 🥴😳..great show congrats on coming back live. What recorder did u use for show?
Everytime I hear Afterparty I think about playing American Truck Simulator 🚚 on the Oregon DLC!! 😌 Always a good time. Hope you do more of these setup show videos and possibly hear a mix of the show through the board instead of cam mic. But still like seeing the setup and stuff. Awesome job 👏!!
The audio is from our MIDAS M32 console recorded through the TASCAM DA 6400. I do plan on doing more of these! Thanks!
@@SteveSterlacci oh okay. I just got the behringer x32 myself. Love the motorized faders and the wifi mixing with a tablet. Don't need to be in front of the board to mix. But I was mostly talking about the sound check where the sound blew out the camera mic. But I get it buddy. You can't worry about sound quality of the camera when focusing on setting up for the show. It was just a thought. Plz don't think I was saying there was a problem or anything like that. You always do a great job on the videos man. Plz don't mind me running my mouth. Keep rocking man!!
Awesome work guys!
Thanks a ton!
Congrats on playing your first show of 2021. Must be a great relief. I can see why you wanted to change and into jeans. Your shorts kind of looked like a kilt. 😆
LOL Yeah,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Awesome Steve. Sounded like you guys did well.
Get In fantastic bro
Thank you!
Excellent job guys...I know that had to feel awesome....that is why we do what we do!!!!!
Now, to get in front of a real festival audience!
Was so fun !
Nice voice!
Looked like it. Private party 🥳 wonder about how many people in the crowd 🤔
It was actually a retreat for people who do crafting. Never heard of anything like it. About 80-100 people behind where my wide angle was sitting. Was gonna show crowd shots but wasnt sure how they'd feel about it since its a private event ya know?
@@dougfa3515 thank you!
@@SteveSterlacci I figured you didn't want to offend anyone. I completely understand that.
Happy for you guys. You looked great and sounded sharp and tight.
It’s gotta feel good to get back to it.
Definitely does! Thank you
this looked wayyyy too fun
Wait til you see the festival gigs and actual tour stuff! Gonna be a lot of fun!
@@SteveSterlacci Can't wait!!!
Happy to see you guys are back in the saddle man! 🎸🎶👍
Us too!
Great stuff!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Nothing says "bad ass guitarist" as that arm tan!!!! Wear it proudly.
Absolutely!!!! 🥸😅
Ahh, give him a break...it’s only June already!!!!
@@eddiejr540 I work outside 😅🙃😄🥸
Nice! Great job 🙂
Thanks! 😊
Excellent. Pickup screws pain in dee azzz !
yep!!
Love this Vlogs ! Specially in these pandemic times, congrats !
More to come! Thank you!
Poor Bob. Rumour has it he is still working on his stage/chair combo.
That first song sounded great. Second one too. But I'm moat surprised cause I thought you'd be in a heavier band. My bad for assuming. Haha. Wow I'd love to be a part of this band don't take it for granted
Thanks.man! We all try to eat healthy 🥴😉. We have some harder songs I will use in future episodes
Get yourselves some medium size oriental rugs to help flatten bad surfaces and keep your gear cleaner, helps a lot and looks great too! 😉🎶
Clean gear?! What fun is that 🫣🥲 thanks for the tip! Will look into it
Thanks for sharing - sounded great and it was fun to watch the setup I forget how much work it is-
watch out for any tricks on Audrey! (Furminator combs work great at finding them). She’s a sweetie!
Shes clean! Thank you for watching! Its way more fun to watch than do, trust me 🥺😅
Ha, that's more like one of our gigs. My shoes already have a year's worth of mud on them and it's only June. Hope to see more content from the road! People are hungry for live music.
Absolutely Greg!
Well Done.Sounds really fresh. And you got that guitar hero stance !
Thanks!!!
I’m tryna binge all your live gig vlogs, could you make a playlist with them all?
I should absolutely do this! Thanks for the push
The sound was really professional. Thought it could be a recording.
Thanks John! Thats from our MIDAS console into the TASCAM DA6400. Roughly mixed
@@SteveSterlacci Your guitar was perfect in the mix. Not too far back, but not too much.
I will pass that along! Thank you for the kind feedback 🤘🤘🤘
I thought the first tune was Born to Run when you first started playing it ☺️
It does have a similar vibe!
Sounding great! Haven't been to a gig in what feels like forever, then again, I haven't played one in nearly a decade! Don't know how long it's going to be in the UK before we can get back to proper live music again!
We are scheduled for July! So fingers crossed lol
Great voice!
DUDE!!! Let's even up the tan on yours arms!!!!!!!!!!!!😉🙃 VERY KOOL video!!!!
😅😅😅😅 I'm gonna work on it!
Excellent show! We just had our first gig too but we weren’t as polished or pretty. 4 older’ish retired guys but we had a blast!
Thats all that matters man! If it ain't fun it ain't worth it
Gigs! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Hey Steve, sounded great! Love these sort of videos :) Geek helix question - why the DI (it looks like you used a DI box rather than XLR straight to the mixer).? I find my helix xlr output quite 'hot'. Been thinking about a DI for a while. Anyways, keep rockin! Cheers, Simon.
Make sure its set to mic level and not Line . I only use Line level to go to a speaker or monitor. The board should always get a mic level. I just used one of these Neve DIs at a venue and loved how it sounded. No idea if its snake oil, but i felt it made a positive difference on my tone
Nice video, congrats on back to work. You guys work hard. I'm guessing you changed pickups or else that screw would have never gotten loose? Anyway, got 50+ shows booked for 2021 so far myself, so things feel better. Keep up the great work man. I
Never changed them! No idea why it suddenly wiggled loose. Bizarre! Good luck out there!
2 things. 1) nice farmer's tan :D 2) that shirt you're rockin', I rocked at my high school graduation party in the early 90s, though mine was blue. If it isn't a Z Cavaricci or I.O.U. then it is a blatent rip off of one of those 2 :) Shit is still bangin'!
Thanks on all counts! 🥸😄
I haven't seen that much hair flinging since the 80's!😂
Much appreciated, love you guys. Gale😎
Thanks Gale! Its become a signature move 😅🤣
@@SteveSterlacci I knew I could count on a quippy response from you. LOL
Im just surprised to have more comments on my tan than my shorts 😅🤣
@@SteveSterlacci Or your arm pit hair hanging out when you were in the car.😂
@@SteveSterlacci Sometimes I wish I was not so observant.
Lot of hard work goes into setting up for an event! Kudos to you guys! #SlackerApproved 6/03/21
Thanks brother !
@@SteveSterlacci Anytime!
You sounded great! Wish I could have been there, looks like a great spot. The light is kind of making you look like the Incredible Hulk there.
🥸🤣🤣🤣. That horrible yellow light was NOT our doing 😅. I hated it
Steve, Apologies for the unorthodox gear question. I see u used 2 pop up tents to protect u Nd the gear from the weather. Looked like u had 4 people under 1 and 3 under the other both with room to spare. What are the dimensions of the individual tents? What did u have mounted over ur heads, low profile monitors, fans, lights, ?? Great video as always thx for sharing. PS. Ur dog is awesome. So chill and just another band member.
No idea, the tents were the events. But if the big ugly yellow light on my face is what you're asking about, it was the sound companies. I think they were just basic LED panel type lights
Bro you got get a rug at least, I kinda had a stroke when you threw the helix on those rocks
Helix has been through worse!
12:33 super cool moment!
Stage choreo! A must for Jessicas show lol
Fantastic sound all around! Haha, was that doggo hearing protection being put on the dog?
Thanks! Yes it was lol gotta take care of the baby. Weird, i saw your first deleted comment said "Pathetic" 🤔.
@@SteveSterlacci I wrote that for a negative comment on you guys performing because of Covid still being rampant from some guy in Australia, and then deleted because it was too harsh. I'm sure the OP comment is still there.
Nothing 'pathetic' about this video or show, LOL!!!
Ah i gotcha! Lol i was like damn! Thats a switcheroo 🥴😅🤣. Glad you enjoyed it 🤘. I appreciate you keeping it clean
@@SteveSterlacci Steve, check out the 'Main' tab on my site linked from my UA-cam page and see if any of my songs might work for you guys. I'm not looking for anything. Just an older guy that would like to see one of my songs recorded someday. And I know I have at least one hit in there!
'I Been Wrecked'
'Crucify Me'
many more....
I'd post a link but any time I do that the comment seems to get auto-deleted.
Hi Steve Great performance , Mat you tell me what model of speaker are you using for the PA system ? Thanks
Thanks Orlando! They are RCF EVOX system. The best!
Sounds great Steve. Catchy tunes as well. That stuff should be all over the radio.
Thanks Joe! Means a lot
Thanks Joe ♥️

Local promoters be like: Aight y’all can set up on this stage.
Weve done it
I have to admit Steve I also cringed when you put the Helix on the gravel ground. OUCHY
Its been through worse!
@@SteveSterlacci They are built like a brick shithouse. But I am way to OCD to do that with mine. Thanks, Keep the Vids coming.
Thank you! They sure are. I beat mine 🤣🥴
See you are using IEM and no Powercab. I just transitioned to the Helix LT & Powercab from traditional pedalboard and amp. Sounded great. How'd that work for you? Played last gig using 1 earphone and my Powercab. Not sure I need the cab except as a security blanket I guess. Been trying different combos.
Check the next vlog where my IEMs go down and I have no safety blanket with a PC lol i dont ever wanna gig without the safety net again 🤣
Gee that's rough just dumping the helix on stone
It sounded worse than it actually was🤣🤣🤣 helix is tough enough
is the drummer your little brother, Steve :) ?
Haha! Just a handsome fella 🤣😉
No rug? Right on the gravel? I’m cringing. Lol.
Smooth seas never made a skilled sailor! Helix can handle it
good sound check pls
sound check video pls we want to see that
Amazes me you pulled that woman with those arms, look at those tan lines lol...
Its size that matters 🥸🤣🙄😉
@@SteveSterlacci 😎🤙
Is this the sound of helix direct? What is your pa that it runs through in full?
Its dirext yes. We use a MIDAS M32 console and RCF PA
@@SteveSterlacci I use xr18. And 2 ekx15p
3 Helix cases?
Mine, bass player and a backup
@@SteveSterlacci Ah. Didn't see the bassist using it. Bass sounded good.
Ticks? Oh hell no
Worse than doodie?
In Melbourne we have 72 active cases. We even had 4 new ones today. Too dangerous for live music
I think they'll be just fine, Steve.
