They just screened Repo Man at a theater nearby :-) The edited for TV version is funnier because Harry Dean Stanto says "Melonfarmer" over and over again. There's also a deleted scene or significant extra footage in the TV version, I think.
They do not make movies like this anymore. I'm not sure if I'm sad about that (this movie rules), or if I'm glad (no new films could/should even attempt to be quite like Repo Man)
When I found out Alex Cox made Repo Chick, I was pissed. Then I realized that it was a hell of a lot better that he make some bastard flick than an actual sequel to Repo Man. This is one of my favorite open endings, because you can really blow your mind at the possibilities. Caught it at the Saturday cult movie a couple months ago. So badass.
The bit where Otto is looking out of his window while flying over LA is so incredibly iconic.
"The life of a repo man is always intense."
one of the best movies ever made
I watched this movie while I was high. It was amazing.
"Best god damn car in the yard".
Two people cannot live with the intensity the life of the repo man has.
Greatest quote ever. "Fuck that".
music when they're going over LA is awesome.
The ending of this movie gives me hope for my future
"A Repo Man is ALWAYS intense"
"this is intense" ...i think that's kind of an understatement lol
the music is "reel ten" by the plugz
what a hell of an ending
Great flick.
I'm glad I tortured you - Cheney's got this on a tee shirt. second best driving instructor ever (after stuntman mike.

Olivia Barash was totally fucking cute. There's something adorable about a foulmouthed girl with a voice like a 10-year-old.
That's a bit more problematic than leaving her back in the hairdressing salon.
But the movie came out in 1984.
miller will lead us into the future
just watched this shit. so fuckin funny. What a thoroughly entertaining movie.
@vicarious113 Hell YEAH!!!

This ending inspired me to leave a girlfriend back in 1982, as crazy as that sounds.
@letadlovkrouzku that was jimmy buffett and the name of the book is diaretics
@idenchasy But the movie didn't come out until 1984...
Thank god there's a time machine car in it
@wesgriff1 It's called "Reel Ten" by The Plugz.
@idenchasy Haha, early 80's were a bit crazy, hmm, 70's too...
Can you tell the story of that? It sounds like it's got an amazing story behind it.
One of the best films ever.

@vicarious113 no offense but it is THE best movie ever made...'you know what I mean"?
@IronicKismet
You mean the past ;)
who knows the song name?
@doddsino I mean the future via the past.
The end is a little bit of a rip-off of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
You're all a bunch of Stoners
