Equalyze this was SUCH an honor! I've always been such a MASSIVE fan of yours, not just your incredible music, but also the pure, incredible energy you bring into every interaction you have with people! All the comments you leave on videos are top-notch amazing to read and they make me smile every time :) Thanks again for doing this with me!! And congrats on 700 subscribers! 🤩
Thank you so much, iRead!! It was a sincere pleasure to work with you, and I'm grateful to have had this opportunity! Honestly, I'm touched beyond measure to know that you're a fan of my remixes, and the feeling is entirely mutual. 😊 I have huge admiration for the way you're able to produce music - both originals and remixes - with such polish and creativity. And likewise, the way you show such genuine appreciation for your listeners and enthusiasm for your fellow artists warms my heart tremendously. And I'm happy, also, to know that the comments I write bring smiles! ^_^ You did just an incredible job with the percussive elements here, and the sheer amount of detail in the rhythms, accents, articulations, and every other facet is remarkable. I know I've said this several times already, but seeing just how many different parts and layers go into your drums and percussion just furthers my appreciation for the effort and creative energy that go into all aspects of your music. It was a delight, being able to work with your percussive parts, and they had awesome synergy with the instrumentals! And it makes me glad to see so many people mentioning the percussive elements specifically in their comments, both here and in the Megamix! And thank you also for the kind congratulatory words! This is definitely an exciting milestone, and I've been fortunate to have the support of this incredible community. I'm excited for the futures of both our channels, and I'd be _so_ down for future collaborations with you. Thanks again for everything, my friend! 💛
THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL! I can't tell you how fast the chills went down my spine from hearing that flute. Feels like I'm in paradise just listening to this, haha! I'm not sure what exactly to call this genre, 'cause it feels like a mix of tropical house & lo-fi, but either way I am _here_ for it! I'd like to give an honorable mention to those crisp & clean percussive elements; everything sounds _perfectly_ mixed, super pleasing to the ear! I hope one day you decide to add your entire catalogue to streaming services like Spotify & Apple Music since your music deserves more exposure, and I know at least a dozen playlists this song alone would be an excellent fit for! Keep up the incredible work, and congrats reaching 700 subscribers! Love to see your fanbase grow! 💫
Player2, thank you so, so much for the wonderfully encouraging and thoughtful words! This was an absolute joy to read, and I am really happy that you liked our remix! Seriously, I'm all smiles about it. 😊 Thanks for your specific remarks regarding the instrumentation! That (synth) flute is quickly becoming a favorite of mine, and I've really come to relish opportunities to use it. 😁 One thing I really like about the instrument is that it sounds like a person whistling in the higher octaves - it's just a really fun and versatile sound, and I'm thrilled that you enjoy it here, alongside the other instruments! And wow, that is some serious praise, to hear that this song creates a feeling of being in a tropical paradise - thank you!! As for the genre, I kind of wondered that myself, to be honest. 😅 It's a bit of an eclectic mix in terms of instrumental parts, but iRead did a fantastic job creating bossa nova and reggaeton-styled rhythms in the day and night sections, respectively. I guess I would categorize this remix as a hybrid of those two styles, if I had to! And speaking of iRead, _huge_ credit goes to him for the percussive parts, and I so appreciate your specific mention of them! When he sent me his nearly 2 dozen(!) percussive parts, I was truly floored by the amount of detail and polish they had. It really was a blast, mixing his percussive parts with my tonal ones, and I really can't say enough about his creativity, skill, and musicality! Man, it warms my heart so much to read that you feel my music warrants being uploaded to streaming services, and that it's worthy of being on several playlists - it's humbling and uplifting to see you say that! I actually did just upload one remix a couple weeks ago ("Green Star" from SMG2) via Soundrop, and I definitely want to upload at least a half-dozen more of my favorites in the coming weeks, but I just need to make some minor tweaks to the audio and create cover art for each. It's one of those things that would only take one or two work sessions if I really got down to it, and I know it'd be very beneficial in the longrun. Your comment has definitely given me motivation to make that more of a priority! Finally, thank you also for the kind words of congratulations! Every interval really feels like a big milestone for me, and the continual support and encouragement from you and many others in the VGM community has been pivotal in my remaining passionate and driven to keep working towards improvement! Your music is both an inspiration and exemplar for me, and I'm proud to be part of your fanbase - and I wish you continued success and enjoyment, as well! 🌟
Came to listen to this again and totally realized I forgot to comment the first time! So I'll rectify that here and say you two knocked it out of the park with this one! Everything sounds so much brighter and more upbeat than the original and I think that works perfectly with the world of Pokemon, especially for a region based around Hawaii! The percussive work by ireadmusic890 has a lot of charm and swing to it, I can't help but sway to the beat throughout the entire track! Really love this remix!!
Hey, Danny, thanks so much for not only revisiting this remix, but for taking the time to comment in detail - it means more than I can say, really! Just knowing that you enjoyed the video is a joy in itself, but your feedback is immensely appreciated! Wow, it is very high praise to hear that you feel our rendition has additional brightness and energy, compared to the original - thank you! I'm really not at all familiar with traditional Hawaiian music, but I did take quite a few cues from the instrumentation of the OST version, as well as other themes in the Sun & Moon soundtrack. And I must admit, I really enjoy opportunities to use that flute synth, which is quickly becoming a favorite of mine! 😁 Thanks also for your mention of iRead's percussive elements! I was truly floored when he sent his percussive parts (and more than a dozen and a half!), with how clean, balanced, and dynamic they sounded - they fit right into the mix perfectly, and it was a real privilege to gain some insight into his percussive design and overall production. It's heartening to hear that the rhythms got you grooving along as much as they did me! ^_^ Once again, thank you for your heartfelt and encouraging comments. I'll see you soon, my friend! ^_^
Wow, what a beautiful and chill tropical sounding remix! I love it! The melodic leads and elements are so easy on the ears, truly a pleasure to listen to! I can hear lots of background elements too the accompany the foreground instruments, like orchestral chimes, various percussive sounds, and a melodic soft lead with vibrato that adds a nice touch. I think this is some of your best work yet! Also, I love the cute art featured in the video, along with the on-screen dialogue text. It really complements the music very well. Great job! 👍😃
Glitchman! :D Thank you so much for the detailed and uplifting comment, and I am really happy that you enjoyed both the music and visuals here. Honestly, I'm really pleased with how iRead's and my parts came together, so hearing that you feel this is among my best work yet means a ton! 😊 Seeing the instruments and sounds described as melodic, easy-on-the-ears, and beautiful warms my heart! Above all, I always want the music here to be enjoyable to listen to - regardless of intensity, style, or any other factor - and your feedback on each remix makes me feel like I'm meeting that goal. I really can't thank you enough for that! I appreciate that you always notice and mention the supporting elements, and thanks for your specific remarks on iRead's percussive sounds, as well! And that lead is one of my new favorites - it's a modification of a preset (called "Meloflute") in the Morphine VST, with an LFO on pitch to create that vibrato effect - so glad you enjoy it, too! ^_^ Thank you for also mentioning the visuals! Kali and I wanted to create a sort of "pop-up storybook" kind of effect, and I think we'll definitely be using this texture style in future remix videos, as well! I wasn't initially planning on adding any text here, but late in the process, I decided it'd be fun to have Lillie have a brief interaction with her Vulpix. I'm glad you enjoyed seeing it in the video! Your constant encouragement and support really mean the world to me, and I always hope that my words will convey my gratitude for all you do in this community! Thank you again, my friend! 💛
I've always wondered what Poke Pelago remixes would be like so this was a wonderful surprise to hear! The other surprise was seeing you and iRead collabing with each other! Your styles go so well together :D
Hey, Caleb, it's great to see you! Thanks so much for taking an interest in this remix, and I am really happy to hear that this turned out to be a pleasant surprise! :D From what I've seen, there aren't too many remixes of Poke Pelago, and I'm proud that iRead and I were able to add to that modest number. 😁 I think it's definitely a theme that, while perfectly pleasant to listen to, tends to fly under the radar... maybe because it's often overshadowed by the various sound effects or the myriad of tasks available on the islands. In any case, I'm delighted that you enjoyed our rendition of the track! And yeah, it was an unexpected and very welcome opportunity, being able to work with iRead on this! The timing of the Summer Megamix was serendipitous, and it ultimately led to us selecting this track. Thank you for the kind words regarding the synergy of styles - it's really heartening to hear that, and mad props go to iRead for his superb percussive elements. It's been such a genuine pleasure, being able to work with you, him, and other folks in the community - thank you for introducing me to the world of collaborations! And thanks for your kind and enthusiastic comment! ^_^
This is so cute and charming! I love the instrumentation, that bass and the percussions! The visual also fit really well, it's always amazing to see a new video by you. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for the kind and thoughtful feedback, DarlingJack! I say this nearly every time, and I mean it every time: your continual support and encouragement mean a tremendous amount to me, and I hugely appreciate that you always take the time to listen with intent and write such nice comments. I'm really glad to hear that you enjoyed the instrumentation here - it's always fun to use mallet sounds, as well as some lighter sounds, like flutes and whistles. And I'm very glad you liked the bass, as well - this was an electric string bass (synth), coupled with a mid-low synth for a bit more presence. I always try to make the bass parts unique from the original arrangement, so hearing that means a lot - thank you! And thanks also for the praise regarding the percussive elements - the overwhelming majority of credit goes to iRead for them! It was a real privilege to work with his parts, and to integrate a few of my own percussive sounds with his. And I'm grateful for your specific remarks on the visuals, as well! I had a lot of fun with this video, and I'm especially happy with how it turned out. Thank you again, my friend! 😊
What an amazing remix i didn't know this theme from pokemon but it's an amazing suprise ! Congrats tto you and I Read Music you did a wonderful job together
Thanks so much, Mattip! This enthusiastic and uplifting feedback means a lot, coming from you. 😊 This is definitely one of the lesser-known Pokemon themes, I feel, and I honestly hadn't given it a whole lot of extra thought before iRead and I started looking at summer-styled Pokemon tracks to remix. But this theme really grew on me, and quickly became a new favorite - I'm so glad that you enjoyed our rendition of it! And thanks for the congratulatory words! Working with iRead was a sincere delight, and I'm grateful for all the opportunities I've had to work with talented, creative, and caring people in the VGM community - and I'm super excited for future collaborations, as well! 😉 Thanks again, Mattip. I really appreciate that you always take the time to listen and write such encouraging comments! 🌟
Equalyze, I'm so thrilled to finally share my thoughts on this production! This remix is so CLEAN, groovy, and joyful! You and ireadmusic have managed to create a track that both embodies relaxation and energizing vibes at the same time! I love the bouncy groove the bassline has to offer and when coupled with PHENOMENAL percussion, I just have to move to the music! The instrumentation through the remix is BEAUTIFUL! My mind is absolutely blown! :O As always, you and Kali make a perfect team! I cannot even begin to imagine how complex your flp's are with automation of visual elements! Kali's art is gorgeous! The genius creativity of art, combined with precision automation, and joyous music, creates another production with some of the best visuals and music on the entire UA-cam platform! :) I have struggled through so many countless hardships in the past 5+ months, and most of those struggles have completely turned around. I now have the ability to make music again, and I am so pumped to be returning soon! (I'm returning in the month of March) Thank you for the phenomenal productions and all of the kind words my friend, you and Kali really have made a HUGE positive impact on my life! :D
Steel!! Man, it is so great to hear from you! ^_^ When I saw the notification for your comment this morning, I was super hyped, and it was a delight to read what you wrote. I wanted to wait until I had an opportunity to respond in detail, though! Ah man, it's huge praise to hear that you feel the production here sounds clean - thanks for saying so! iRead played a huge part in that, honestly, and his superb percussive elements kept everything tight. I tend to use hi hats, sweeps, impacts, and various other bright and noisy sounds rather liberally, so whenever someone else handles the percussive elements, the result is usually a good deal cleaner than when I'm doing them, admittedly. 😅 But that aside, I'm thrilled to hear that you felt that the overall sound was both upbeat, yet relaxing, just as we had hoped! I'm super glad that you liked the bassline here! The bass part is an element that I really like to rework in each remix, since I feel it's a great way to make the arrangement more unique while keeping intact the melodies that listeners know and love. And thanks so much for your kind remarks regarding the instrumentation! I always relish having opportunities to utilize some more tropical and plucky sounds, as well as flutes and whistles. iRead was very supportive and enthusiastic about the instrumentation throughout the process, so it really kept me motivated to add and refine different layers for the day and night verses. :D I really can't put into words how much it means that you always notice and comment on the visuals at such length - thank you so much! This one was definitely a bit trickier to put together than most, because the layering of items in itself was a bit of a puzzle to figure out. It was really nice, though, having so many scene elements to work with, and it made for an interesting challenge, figuring out how to make everything move in ways that didn't feel like they were all on the same timer, so to speak - for instance, adjusting the LFO Speed parameter slightly helped the waves and clouds not to move at the same rate. I actually wanted to have Alolan Vulpix go behind the tree, but I ran into a snafu with the layering where it would've resulted in a really awkward moment if I had gone through with that.😆 Ramblings aside, though, it's so heartening to know that you feel the videos are well-constructed, and I hugely appreciate your saying so. 😊 Kali really went all out with the sheer number of pieces she created here, and it was almost overwhelming initially. I'm really fond of the texturing she used here, and she intentionally went for kind of a storybook style, which I can always get behind as a big fan of Paper Mario and the like. I'm a very lucky guy, being able to plan videos with her and have custom artwork to use each time, and it's a massive advantage that I don't ever want to take for granted. I always enjoy showing her your comments, and they always bring a big smile to her face - thank you for being so encouraging to both of us! I can only imagine what a rough time you've had over the past half-year, but it makes me so glad to hear that things are finally looking up! I'm sure I speak for many people when I say your presence in the VGM remix community has been sorely missed! And man, it is _so_ exciting to know that you'll be making music again soon! It feels fitting that your resurgence will be during the same month you released your first (and greenest) remix, and I sincerely cannot wait to get the notification for that remix video. 😁 It means more than I can say, really, to know that Kali and I have been able to affect your life in a positive way, and I would say the very same about you, my friend. Thanks again for the wonderful comment, and I'll see you soon! 💛
Cyb3r_N1nja, it's really good to see you! Thanks so much for taking the time to listen and comment - it means a lot that you do. 😊 Poke Pelago is a surprisingly nice tune, and I had never really given it much thought in particular until iRead and I were looking at different Pokemon themes that would be fun to do in a summer style for the Megamix. This one really grew on me before long! And that's awesome to hear that Sun/Moon is your favorite in the series - I don't often see that! These games have a great atmosphere, and there are a lot of standout characters, too... so many cool new Pokemon, as well! Thank you again for the kind words! ☀
Kali's beautiful art and visuals brought me so much joy ❤ I found it amusing just the way Snowy slowly moves across the island 😆 And ofc the music is amazing as always, Equalyze!
Hey, malxx, it's great to see you again! Thanks so much for taking an interest in the remix, and I'm delighted that you enjoyed the music and visuals. ^_^ Kali and I are grateful for your kind words regarding the art specifically - thank you! Admittedly, it was a bit tough to make Lillie's Alolan Vulpix move around throughout the video, since the island was rather small, so the movements are indeed slow and a bit on the stiff side. 😅 And I really appreciate the feedback on the music, as well! It was truly an honor to work with iReadMusic on this one, and his drums and percussion really infused with piece with relaxing, yet upbeat energy. Thanks again for taking the time to listen and comment - it means a lot! 😊
Wow, thanks so much, chccon! It's always such high praise to hear that a remix seems underrated. Poke Pelago definitely isn't one of the more popular themes of Sun & Moon (at least, from what I've seen), but it has such a fun, upeat, and lighthearted atmosphere that makes it an easy listen. 🌴 Your words of encouragement mean a lot, and I definitely plan to keep remixing and working towards continual improvement for many years to come. Thanks again! :)
Aw, thanks so much, kaleido! Your comment really brought a big smile to my face, and the feedback is very encouraging! iRead and I had a lot of fun making this, and we're very happy with how it turned out. I'm grateful for the views this video has gotten already, and it means a lot to hear that you feel this deserves to reach a wider audience. Thanks again! ^_^
This was so wonderful. I adored it so much within the Megamix, and just as much here! :D Always a pleasure to hear your wonderful remixes, and even more so in collaboration with other talented people ^^
Thank you very much, Turt! It's always a sincere pleasure to read your heartfelt comments, and they warm my own heart to read. 😊 I'm happy to know that you enjoyed listening to it in the Megamix, and I really appreciate your kind words there, too! Working with iRead was a real privilege, and I couldn't have said it any better - he's indeed a talented and creative artist, and he has such a great musical sense for how different parts all come together, and selection and usage of instruments are truly fantastic. And the guy has an amazing sense of rhythm, too, being able to create drum and percussion patterns that are fun to listen to and rich with detail. Thank you for the kind words regarding our collaboration! :D It was such a nice surprise to see your new remix in the Megamix, too, and I loved having the opportunity to really listen and re-listen on your channel. Thanks again, my friend, and I'm excited for what the remainder of this year will bring! ^_^
Franz, it's great to see you, man! Thank you so much for listening, and for the kind comment! I'm delighted that you enjoyed the percussive elements here, and huge credit goes to iReadMusic for creating such dynamic and varied drums and percussion. And I'm psyched that you mentioned the day-to-night transition, as well - I was hoping that aspect of the remix video would go over well. ☀️🌙 Thanks again for the kind feedback! :)
Thanks so much, FlameCheese! Your specific feedback on the instrumentation and mix means a huge amount, especially coming from you. That's been an ongoing goal of mine, to try and give each instrument more space without sacrificing the density of the arrangement. Seeing you remark on that aspect in particular - as well as on the volume balance of the different parts - really makes me feel like I'm making progress there! I want to give major props to iRead, as well - the percussive parts he worked on fit into the instrumentation seamlessly, and the mix was a delight to work on! And I'm delighted that you enjoyed the remix overall, and thank you for always taking the time to listen and comment on each new remix. Words alone really can't express my gratitude, but that won't stop me from trying! Hope you've been doing well, man, and thanks again for the encouraging words! ^_^
Heyy, SculptedNostalgia! It's great to see you, man! Thanks so much for listening, and for the kind words! It means a lot that you enjoyed the remix, and I'm grateful for your continual encouragement and enthusiasm. I'm looking forward to the upcoming video you hinted at in your recent Community post! And thank you again! 😊
Hey, Fabian! It's really good to see you, man. :D Thanks so much for taking an interest in this remix, and I'm psyched that you enjoyed it! The way you worded your comment cracked me up, and how specific the activity is. While this track strikes me as a song to collect Poke Beans to, building sandcastles sounds like a much more stimulating and creative endeavor! 🏖 Thanks again for listening! ^_^
@@Equalyze i recently remembered that i missed a ton of videos from you and came here to jam out and i have to say you have a pretty impressive lineup right now. although i got the ashley song stuck in my head now and cant get it out, tho i guess its fitting for spooky month.
@@fabianski987 Man, I can't even tell you what it means to hear that - thank you so much!! I'm both very flattered and grateful to hear you describe the recent lineup of remixes as such. Haha! It makes me happy to hear that the Ashley's Song remix has been such an earworm for you, and I'm so stoked that you've found it to be a great fit for this month. I've been wanting to remix that song for quite some time, and being able to work on it with AvoCado has been a dream come true! Thanks again for your encouraging comments, Fabian - they really make my day to read! 🙂
you three have certainly managed succeeded in creating a relaxing and fun remix! the vibes are on point for summer mood 😌 also wow the quality of the production is so good, all the elements work together perfectly without stepping on each other. it's delightful to listen to. and that also goes for the visuals, the artwork by kali is lovely as usual and your animations make it even more cute. i especially like that finger-snap moment around 0:57 when vulpix turns ❤ (perfect example of all the elements in this remix working together as one!)
Thank you, Alter Loy!! I'm delighted to hear that the remix created a fun, yet relaxing atmosphere, as we hoped. It means so much to me that in your comments, you consistently reference things in the description that I hope people will take note of. I really appreciate that you always listen and comment so thoughtfully! 😊 Wow, it is really high praise to hear that the elements worked well together and allowed each other breathing room - especially given the number of tracks that iRead and I created (just over 50 in total). I had worried that I might have tried to use "too many crayons in the box" (as Kali often puts it), but seeing you comment on the balance of the mix specifically is huge for me - thank you! :D And speaking of Kali, she and I are so grateful for your remarks regarding the artwork and animations! This might be the greatest number of individual pieces she's created for a video yet, so incorporating them all into this cozy little scene was a challenge I thoroughly enjoyed! :D I'm tickled that you liked the finger snap detail in particular! When iRead sent his percussive parts with that crisp finger snap (I believe it's the Nintendo Switch one!), I knew I had to do a little something in the visuals to correspond to it - the Vulpix turn was a fun little idea that came to mind, and in the second snap, I figured it'd be cute to have a few Poke Beans all fall at once. 😁 I'm really happy to know that you like moments like those, where distinguished parts of the music line up with events in the video! Again, thank you for your wonderful and heartfelt comments, my friend. As always, I'm looking forward to your upcoming releases (and possibly that one from the Megamix? 👀) See you soon!
What a fun remix! I'm late to the party, but I decided a late arrival is better than none at all. :D I'm not a Pokémon enthusiast, but I can appreciate its music all the same. Maybe it's how the song is composed, but I feel like you've really amplified the beach-esque theme. The pitched percussion is very lively and helps emphasize this theme. It reminds me of the beach in one of the Mario games--I can't remember which one. But that's kinda what I envisioned when I first heard it. I don't really have any specific comments on the production. I love all the shimmering percussion you used--especially towards the beginning. The bass hops around really pleasantly, and the drums are very present but still quite fun! If I had to describe this remix with one word, I'd definitely say "playful". Great work as always! And congrats on 700+ subs!! You've earned it with your consistency and skills :D
G-Squared, thank you so much!! 😄 I really appreciate your taking the time to listen and comment so thoughtfully, and it means a great deal that you're interested in remixes from a few months back, even. Honestly, receiving comments on previous remixes brings me joy, because it means the person went out of their way to listen and comment. I totally get you in regards to being able to appreciate music from a game or series that you don't typically play. For me, that series is probably Final Fantasy; other than the two games for SNES, I haven't played any of them, but I still really enjoy their music! One of the best things about being involved with this community, I feel, is having the opportunity to be exposed to music from different games. I'm delighted to hear that you felt this had a very beachy feel - that was definitely the goal here! 🏖 I know what you mean regarding the pitched percussion, too - or, at least, I think I do. One of my favorite new instruments is one called "Chakra" from FL Studio's FLEX VST, and I've enjoyed using it in a decent number of remixes this year. I think it sounds a bit reminiscent of Super Mario Sunshine, if that's the one you had in mind. If so, I consider that very high praise, as it's my favorite 3D Mario platformer! In any case, thanks so much for mentioning that specifically! Thank you very much for your encouraging feedback regarding the percussive elements! iReadMusic truly did a fantastic job with the drums and percussion here, and both the quantity and quality of what he created are so impressive. "Shimmering" is a very a propos way of describing it, and his shakers, wind chimes, and various cymbals really do glisten, alongside the many other parts in the mix. Regarding the presence of the drums, I really did want iRead's parts to be prominent in the mix, and I'm glad you found them to be enjoyable here! Thanks also for mentioning the bass, too - one element I always take extra pride in is the bass, as I always try to rearrange it from scratch, so hearing that means a lot! I'm thrilled that the remix has an overall feeling of playfulness, too - we certainly had a lot of fun working on it! ^_^ I am so touched by your words of congratulations - thank you!! Honestly I feel very fortunate to have received this much support since I started 3 1/2 years ago, and I'm grateful to have been able to maintain a monthly release schedule. This - that is, making remix videos and engaging with other artists and their creations - is one of the most important things in my life, and I hope to be able to continue doing it for many years to come! Your constant support and encouragement have been a huge part of this journey, and I look forward to continuing to do the same with your music. Thanks again, and I'll see you soon, my friend! 🌟
Hey, Cheery! Thank you so much for listening, and for the kind comment! ^_^ I'm really glad to hear that you enjoyed the music and animations. This one was a lot of fun to work on! 😁
Oh wow Equalyze you really started the month with a bang we as you know I love your Pokémon remixes I love how upbeat and beautiful it sounds the visual aspect really shines her with a day and night cycle you even have the pokebeans falling from the tree and I also noticed the sprites for Lillie and the ice type vulpix Alohian form (I think that’s how you spell it) you and iread did an amazing job on this my only sad feeling about this theme is that it ends! Looking forward to next months remix!
Poke&Remix! Thank you so much for the wonderfully detailed comment! It warms my heart to know that you enjoyed the music and visuals of this remix, and your kind and enthusiastic words are a joy to read. ^_^ I'm delighted that you enjoy the Pokemon remixes in particular, and they're among my favorites to create, since the music of this series is really memorable for me, like it is for so many people. Admittedly, this is a theme that I previously didn't give much thought to, but learning the arrangement and spending a lot of time working on the instrumentals gave me a new level of appreciation for this theme - so much that I often find myself whistling it at random times. 😅 Seeing you describe the music as upbeat and beautiful really makes me happy, as that was the intent that we had for this piece. Ah man, I really appreciate that you mentioned the day and night changes specifically! One thing I really enjoy about the series is that they often create variations of themes, based on changes to conditions like time of day, seasons, or even talking to certain characters (like the musicians in Accumula Town). Diamond and Pearl already did a great job with day/night variants of their themes, but I think the theming of Sun & Moon fits that mechanic even better! Thank you for your remarks on the visuals, and I'm thrilled that you liked the presentation here! When Kali and I were planning the video, we thought about different characters from the region that we could include, and since Lillie and her Alolan Vulpix are among the most recognizable in this generation, they seemed to fit well, especially given the more relaxing and gentle style of music. And it made me smile, seeing you comment on the Poke Beans - that was something I really wanted to include from the start, since they're a defining feature of Poke Pelago! 😁 This project was a real joy to create with iRead, and again, I really appreciate your kind and encouraging feedback on our collaboration! And likewise, I'm always eager to hear your new remixes - see you around, man!
Woah, Equalize, that's so good! I had forgotten this music, and as soon as I heard the first notes a lot of memories came to mind! I don't think I've told you this directly, but I love your style. Like every remixer, you have a particular style, which is described here by your use of instruments whose sound comes close to the original music. Speaking of which, I've always wondered what VSTs you use, and if you use soundfonts. The sounds you use in your remixes are unique. I mean, I never heard them anywhere but in your remixes. Forgive me my questions, I should rather congratulate you on your work! Keep it up, it's perfect! :D
Guimu, thank you so much for the wonderful and heartfelt comment - this made me so happy to read. 😊 It means so much that you always take the time to listen and write so thoughtfully! Wow, I'm at a loss for words to hear that you really enjoy my style - thank you so much!! It's something I think about often, actually, and I think I'm starting to become more aware of things that are common across all of my remixes, regardless of the genre, song type, or any other factor. I definitely do like to keep the instrumentation similar enough to the original, because I feel that it provides a nice connection between a remix and the original version that a person may remember fondly. In fact, if I happen to come across a sound in a VST that strongly resembles one used in the OST version, it gets me really excited, and I can't resist using it! 😁 I'm really glad that you see my tendency to use sounds that are reminiscent of the original tracks as a good thing! I've actually never used any soundfonts before, and the only official sound I used that wasn't a sound effect was the orchestra hit in the Sewer Surfin' remix. I specifically went looking for that one because it was such an iconic and recognizable sound effect for that game (as well as other Konami titles). But I definitely hope to use at least a few soundfonts in future remixes! :) I am really thrilled to hear that the instruments in my remixes sound unique - thank you! Most of the instruments are from FL Studio's native plugins, and I was able to get the All Plugins Edition for a really good price back in late 2021 when Image Line had a special sale. Since then, I've found Harmless, Sakura, and (especially) Morphine to be major assets, alongside the VSTs that I was already using with the Producer Edition (mainly FLEX, Sytrus, and GMS). Morphine is probably my second most-used VST (next to FLEX), and a lot of the sounds here came from Morphine. For instance, the flute lead is a modification of the "Meloflute" preset, the bass is from the "Elec Bass" preset, and a few electric pianos are used, as well: As for sounds from FLEX, the metallic-sounding pluck layer is from "Chakra", the guitar parts all use the "Tocco di Terra X", and that sparkly, hi-pitched sound is based on "Dream Pack". Also, that violin synth which I love is from Sakura, using - believe it or not - the "Sax 5" preset with some modifications. Outside of native FL Studio VST's, I also use Serum for that "Game Boy" kind of sound that I used to use a lot more as a lead instrument in past remixes (based off a layered square wave with added reverb and delay), as well as some of the pluckier sounds, like the rhythmic pluck here, which is based on the "Sunny" preset. Another sound I use in nearly every remix is the default piano from the Keyzone Classic VST. I _highly_ recommend that one, if you're looking for a nice piano sound! It's responsive to changes in note velocity, and it works nicely with effect plugins like reverb, delay, distortion, etc. And best of all, Keyzone Classic is free! I've been using it for over 3 years, and it's been an absolute staple for me. For any instrument that has vibrato, I add it manually by creating an Automation Clip on the pitch knob and then using an LFO with anywhere from 75-85% speed, 12-21% tension, and anywhere from 20-45% for the amount. Then I create a neutral automation point at the start of a longer note, create a second point about 2/3 through the note for an upward curve, and then a third automation point at the end of the note so the vibrato effect can end before the next note begins. It's a lot of work, admittedly, and there's probably a much easier way to do it, but I find that it makes a big difference in helping sustained notes to sound more expressive and detailed. I hope that explanation made sense! 😅 In short, I like to use a variety of VSTs, and I'm trying to be better about saving the settings for sounds I come across that I really like, even if it doesn't fit in the current project - they often come in handy later! And please, don't feel any need to hold back asking questions - I really enjoy sharing the details of what I use, and it makes me happy that you were interested in that. If you ever have any questions about specific sounds or effects, I'd be more than happy to share, really! ^_^ Thank you again for the continual encouragement, my friend. The VGM community is fortunate to have you as both a remix creator and supporter! 💛
FTW FTW FTW FTW FTW FTW FTW FTW FTW FTW FTW FTW FTW FTW FTW FTW FTW FTW FTW FTW :D This is relaxing and gorgeous and musically amazing all at the same time. Keep up the good work fam :)
Dude, Theølogy, thanks so much for the enthusiastic and heartwarming feedback! When I got the notification for your comment and saw the first line, I couldn't help but smile and laugh - that really made my day! 😄 Seeing you describe the remix in such a way is _huge_ for me, and I'm grateful for the kind words! I'm really happy to hear that the remix was relaxing, as iRead and I wanted it to have that laid-back, yet cheerful kind of feel - to create the sensation of being on a remote tropical island, like in the games! It was both a pleasure and honor to work with iRead, and his selection and usage of percussive elements were quite literally instrumental in making this remix sound the way we envisioned it! The guy is both a remarkable musician and person, and this community as a whole never ceases to amaze me in how dang solid it is. Thank you for always taking the time to listen and write such thoughtful and uplifting comments, my friend. It means a tremendous amount! 😊
You did just an incredible job with the percussive elements here, and the sheer amount of detail in the rhythms, accents, articulations, and every other facet is remarkable.
Thanks for your specific remarks regarding the instrumentation!
Thanks also for your mention of iRead's percussive elements! ^_^
Once again, thank you for your heartfelt and encouraging comments.
Seeing the instruments and sounds described as melodic, easy-on-the-ears, and beautiful warms my heart! ^_^
Thank you for also mentioning the visuals!
From what I've seen, there aren't too many remixes of Poke Pelago, and I'm proud that iRead and I were able to add to that modest number.
Thanks again, Mattip.
As always, you and Kali make a perfect team! I cannot even begin to imagine how complex your flp's are with automation of visual elements! Kali's art is gorgeous! The genius creativity of art, combined with precision automation, and joyous music, creates another production with some of the best visuals and music on the entire UA-cam platform! :)
I have struggled through so many countless hardships in the past 5+ months, and most of those struggles have completely turned around.
I really can't put into words how much it means that you always notice and comment on the visuals at such length - thank you so much! 😊
Kali really went all out with the sheer number of pieces she created here, and it was almost overwhelming initially.
It means more than I can say, really, to know that Kali and I have been able to affect your life in a positive way, and I would say the very same about you, my friend. Thanks again for the wonderful comment, and I'll see you soon! 💛
Pretty nice jingle! I got to play this game earlier this year and it became my most favorite in the series
Cyb3r_N1nja, it's really good to see you! Thanks so much for taking the time to listen and comment - it means a lot that you do. 😊
Poke Pelago is a surprisingly nice tune, and I had never really given it much thought in particular until iRead and I were looking at different Pokemon themes that would be fun to do in a summer style for the Megamix. This one really grew on me before long! And that's awesome to hear that Sun/Moon is your favorite in the series - I don't often see that! These games have a great atmosphere, and there are a lot of standout characters, too... so many cool new Pokemon, as well!
Thank you again for the kind words! ☀
Kali's beautiful art and visuals brought me so much joy ❤
I found it amusing just the way Snowy slowly moves across the island 😆
And ofc the music is amazing as always, Equalyze!
Hey, malxx, it's great to see you again! Thanks so much for taking an interest in the remix, and I'm delighted that you enjoyed the music and visuals. ^_^
Kali and I are grateful for your kind words regarding the art specifically - thank you! Admittedly, it was a bit tough to make Lillie's Alolan Vulpix move around throughout the video, since the island was rather small, so the movements are indeed slow and a bit on the stiff side. 😅
And I really appreciate the feedback on the music, as well! It was truly an honor to work with iReadMusic on this one, and his drums and percussion really infused with piece with relaxing, yet upbeat energy.
Thanks again for taking the time to listen and comment - it means a lot! 😊
This remix is underrated. Keep up the good work!
Your words of encouragement mean a lot, and I definitely plan to keep remixing and working towards continual improvement for many years to come. Thanks again! :)
dude, this is fantastic. hands down. you deserve a million views
Always a pleasure to hear your wonderful remixes, and even more so in collaboration with other talented people ^^
Thank you very much, Turt!
It was such a nice surprise to see your new remix in the Megamix, too, and I loved having the opportunity to really listen and re-listen on your channel. Thanks again, my friend, and I'm excited for what the remainder of this year will bring! ^_^
Hey Eqaulyze! Love the percussion throughout the song, and the transition/changeup at 0:55
Franz, it's great to see you, man! ☀️🌙
Thanks again for the kind feedback! :)
Damn you are so good at giving every instrument just the right amount of volume and space in the mix, nice remix ^^
Really nice job equalyze! Loved this!
Chill songs to build sandcastles to.
Thanks again for listening!
you three have certainly managed succeeded in creating a relaxing and fun remix! the vibes are on point for summer mood 😌
also wow the quality of the production is so good, all the elements work together perfectly without stepping on each other. it's delightful to listen to. and that also goes for the visuals, the artwork by kali is lovely as usual and your animations make it even more cute. i especially like that finger-snap moment around 0:57 when vulpix turns ❤ (perfect example of all the elements in this remix working together as one!)
Wow, it is really high praise to hear that the elements worked well together and allowed each other breathing room - especially given the number of tracks that iRead and I created (just over 50 in total). I had worried that I might have tried to use "too many crayons in the box" (as Kali often puts it), but seeing you comment on the balance of the mix specifically is huge for me - thank you! :D
And speaking of Kali, she and I are so grateful for your remarks regarding the artwork and animations!
I'm not a Pokémon enthusiast, but I can appreciate its music all the same.
I am so touched by your words of congratulations - thank you!! 🌟
Cute remix and animation :3
I like this ^^
Hey, Cheery!
I'm delighted that you enjoy the Pokemon remixes in particular, and they're among my favorites to create, since the music of this series is really memorable for me, like it is for so many people.
This project was a real joy to create with iRead, and again, I really appreciate your kind and encouraging feedback on our collaboration! And likewise, I'm always eager to hear your new remixes - see you around, man!
BOP
Elyprix, it's great to see you! Thank you so much for listening and commenting. I'm super glad you enjoyed it! ^_^
I am really thrilled to hear that the instruments in my remixes sound unique - thank you!
In short, I like to use a variety of VSTs, and I'm trying to be better about saving the settings for sounds I come across that I really like, even if it doesn't fit in the current project - they often come in handy later! And please, don't feel any need to hold back asking questions - I really enjoy sharing the details of what I use, and it makes me happy that you were interested in that. If you ever have any questions about specific sounds or effects, I'd be more than happy to share, really! ^_^
Thank you again for the continual encouragement, my friend. The VGM community is fortunate to have you as both a remix creator and supporter! 💛

Dude, Theølogy, thanks so much for the enthusiastic and heartwarming feedback! When I got the notification for your comment and saw the first line, I couldn't help but smile and laugh - that really made my day! 😄
Seeing you describe the remix in such a way is _huge_ for me, and I'm grateful for the kind words!
@@Equalyze heck yeah dude! It’s what’s up. You guys nailed everything you were hoping to nail here! :D
