I’m currently $428.21 in credit card debt. I was at $3,000. Almost there 💪🏻, hopefully no devastating life events ruin my plans of no more debt.
Congrats! Keep persistent! I'm working myself down from $7k. A little over half way there
Same here!
Good job. Work on advancing career to increase income so that these amounts will seem minuscule.
Put credit card on autopay to pay the statement balance. If you can’t do that then don’t use credit cards.
It snuck up on me quickly.
Was hovering at a $3k balance between 2 cards. Over the course of 10 months it got to $11k total. It didn’t hit me as hard as it should have bc it was spread out bw 2 cards.
Next thing you know, a couple emergencies later and you can’t pay it down.
Happy to say I’m down to $3k and grinding.
32 No credit cards
But now I have no credit and banks won’t deal with me so I’m stuck in an aprtment tryna save for a house…paycheck to paycheck
Get a prepaid card, it will take a little while, but if you stay on top of things you can build your credit. I started out only using a cc for gas and large purchases that I would almost immediately pay back so that I’m not worrying about interest or an overdue payment. It is possible to build credit, I believe in you.
(Large purchases being an oil/tire change or anything that cost over a hundred dollars)
It's a common misconception that you are liable for your spouses debt but it is absolutely untrue. No debtor can collect from you directly because of a debt your spouse owes. They can take money from a joint tax return, from a joint account you both own, and from your spouses estate if they die. That's it. It's common for debt collectors to call you if your spouse dies and tell you they need you to start picking up the payments but you are 100% not liable for that and can tell them to fuck off.
Almost 41 years old, never owned a credit card.
I paid off my 30k student loans in 6.5 years making about 50k a year. I just didn't buy other stuff.
Bankruptcy uncle Joey 😅
Who put you in debt?
Yourself, blame yourself not the system
Ahh right the system boomers developed that will allow you to take out a 250,000 loan at the age of 18 with no collateral, for a college education that literally cost 10 grand forty years ago. As someone who spent a whole 0 days in college even i can see that its a system that has been manipulated over the last 40 years to put people in huge amounts of debt.
yeah pretty much
I blame my mom for getting cancer and going bankrupt. That's justice
You stupid or something?
No ill blame the ✡️
Credit card debt…
This prick is work for a sniper!
They act like these people are victims!! Use cash!!
