I have just bought this amp. Having used a number of Fender and Marshall amps this is my first deluxrv. I am very grateful to you for this comprehensive and really informative vid. Love from the UK
Glad to help! Also, the Normal usually has more mids at lower levels than Vibrato channel since it has a bright cap. You can just remove the bright cap from the Vibrato channel and it will tame the brightness
How do you compare this to the Axe-fx model? My experience is that Fender amps in general get this bounce on the notes if you give some volume that I really like, but on the Fm3 the attack seems way too stiff. I saw your video withe the Fender amps on the Axe-fx III and from just listening it appears to be the case here, but having actually tried both, do you think that's true? I'm having a lot of trouble getting a similar feel on the Fm3 making playing it unpleasant. What's your take on this having actually played both extensively?
Great video, great playing, congratz, and what do you think about the DR 68 RI custom, can you make à video with this amp? its a great amp i find too despite the hiss.
Nicely done. As I am not well introduced to fenders. I want to know what Fender amp delivers the best crunchy distortion without pedals .... And I also want to know what Amp Izzy Stradlin used for the song "Shuffle it off". I am told it was a fender. I want that sound, and with a fender if possible, also with no pedals if possible. Can Anyone help me out with suggestions?
Hey! Just listened to that song. Do you know what guitar was used? My first answer is that it sounds like a tweed amp cranked. To my ears, tweed amps sound chunky in the mids, with little top end. Blackface sound more mid scooped and more squishy. Will sound almost “bell like”. Silverface generally similar to blackface, but a little more headroom so a little colder sounding. Maybe a little more brittle than blackface at times. Given that you go with a tweed, all of them will give you distortion without pedals when cranked. Just a matter of how loud do you wanna be. My Deluxe reverb is 22 watts, I never ever cranked it with a live band. Its loud. A fender princeton is 12 watts and its one of the most recorded amps ever, but maybe in a loud band scenario it will get drowned. The Tweed Deluxe is around 15 watts but arent really made anymore, however tons of companies make clones. Tweed deluxe cranked = Hotel California Don Felder solo
Gracias hermano!
Thank you so much for this video! The part about how the EQ is subtractive completely changed the way I play with my Tone Master Deluxe. Is there a difference between the two inputs on each channel?
Yes! The second input on each channel is 6dB's lower. It was intended to plug humbucker guitars so that the difference in output wouldn't be so abrupt.
Wow. Best demo yet of the drri. Great playing and super accurate tones- what the amp sounds like. Thanks man. You didn’t clip the bright cap did you? That celestion is on the warmer side and prob tames the highs a bit.. sounds great. I’m thinking of getting one and throwing a vintage 30 in it. Do you have any experience with that speaker in the amp? Thanks again.
Bright cap is there! I have a 1x12 with a V30 sometimes I connect it from the Deluxe reverb into the 1x12.... It sounds great... But haven't tried actually replacing the speaker inside the amp.
I know everyone loves the Deluxe but it just sounds so anemic to me. It has zero clean at any usable volume. For a practice amp ok but I just don't get it.

thank you for watching!!!
Great video! I felt like my Deluxe Reverb was lacking midrange. Your comment about turning the bass and treble down made a big difference!
Glad to help! Also, the Normal usually has more mids at lower levels than Vibrato channel since it has a bright cap. You can just remove the bright cap from the Vibrato channel and it will tame the brightness
Excellent demo! Did not get tired of your playing and you made that amp sing!
Great Demo ! I always wanted to hear the combination of that speaker and the amp. Sounds great, Good playing ! Thanks Camilo.
Killer demo!! I am waiting for my DRRI to come in, so this got me all psyched! Fantastic playing!!
Underrated channel for sure! What a great demo!
Wow, such a smooth playing, and great video production. Bravo!
Maaaaan! Love your playing ❤️
My bro! Gracias te mando un abrazote
Whoo boi! That intro track was 🔥. It was so 'murica I ripped off my sleeves, pounded a Bud and grew a mullet. Bah-bittah-bah-bidang-gidang-diggydiggy!
Hahaha!!!!!!!!!!! That's hilarious. Glad you dig it!
Outstanding.
Perfect Demo for me, as I use a Strat Plus with Lace Sensors.
Well Done
Good stuff!
Thank you!!!!
Nice. I have a '64, and that's how I have always set the tone for the Les Paul.
Hell yes. Killing it, Camilo.
Thank you brother!!!!!

Awesome, thanks for doing this.
Thank you for watching!!!!
Amazing playing Camilo!
Thank you so much Mark!!!
Increíble! Me encanta como tocas!!!
Gracias hermano!!!!!!
Nice work! Would be very interesting to hear similar using the axe fx to emulate the real amps. Thanks, you are an amazing player.
That's the next plan!!!

Camilo Velandia todos bien afortunadamente! Cuídate y cuida a los tuyos también 🎶🎵
Hey, great video! Did you use an IR? If so which one? Sounds killer.
Great demo! Awesome playing, but it didnt come across as "look at my skills!"... total compliment to assessing the amp. Nicely done.
Thanks for the kind words Doug!!!
Killer!
Thanks bother!!!
Great Great video!
Thank you so much!!!
Man that Sounds aweasome..... loud and unconvinced..... that's how it's meant to be!
Thank you bro!!!! I agree!!! These things are meant to be cranked!!

@@CamiloVelandia Muchas gracias!
What speaker do you use?
I use a Celestion Heritage 12-65. On this video, I used a load box, but the impulse response was also of a Heritage 12-65
Camilo, awesome video, thanx. Do you know if the Fender Super Sonic 22 has subtractive EQ tonestack??
también tiene que ver las pastillas, creo que suenan genial.

no reverb?
who tf is ‘Michael Landau’?
Check him out. One of the most iconic session guys. Tone guru.
Who the fuck is Disco Lemonade?
J ai le même, mais de 1954

I snipped the bright cap. Only really matters at low volume.
I know everyone loves the Deluxe but it just sounds so anemic to me. It has zero clean at any usable volume. For a practice amp ok but I just don't get it.
Thanks for watching !! It's great that everyone has different taste and ears! I personally love the cleans!
So ... don't get it !
Give me an Orang any day. Sounds like crap
