The US equivalent price of £134 plus 20% vat is near enough £160. Charging an extra £20 is blatant profiteering. US prices are stated before sales tax as it varies by state.
I managed to get a pair delivered for £125 from Wiggle. Just about ok with that and well done Wiggle with 30% on the whole Endorphin range early (it’s off again now). Great review cheers
Appreciate the mention of the price - most UA-camrs that got it for free don’t bother calling that out as it doesn’t affect them. The RRP for the 3 was £160 so a £20 hike is mad given how little they’ve changed. The 3 is my favourite shoe though so I’m still likely to end up being a sucker and grabbing these once my 3s wear out.
I really love all of your "follow along" videos helps me get those extra edge of strength in running. I hope to see more of those. Also if you're going to do more "follow along" video no need for cuts or edits on the break segments of the session just leave it raw video. I find it very convenient to just follow along with those breaks and not to pause the video every so often.
As I understood it the Speed range is intended as a tempo/efforts session shoe, it's just the user-base that's taken it on as a daily, particularly since the 3 was more accessible & less aggressive than 1or2. Happy to stand corrected

On a positive note good to see you back Ben
The issue here is that the shoe, like many is way more expensive in the UK than elsewhere. The price point in the US is reasonable, in line with what it's been for years and competitors in the market. it's the UK price that is excessive.
The price is $268 or 206.50 pounds in 3rd world South Africa where we are ZAR 22.76 to 1 pound... I tried them & loved them but that's an INSANE price for us... NOT IMPRESSED- Asics Superblast is the same price
Thanks for your review wow this price is definitely high, when I lived in Uk the shoes were generally more expensive than in USA but this one is too high. In my opinion speed 3 is on sale now and it’s still great shoes for daily training! 🙂
Can't wait to see your review of the Pro 4. I've got a pair of the Speed 3 and really don't like them but the Pro 3 is incredible and I've got 3 pairs now 😂
Haven't tried yet but I totally agree with you about this main issue with price point and so it's the reason to wait for the price become lower as I use to do with all my running shoes. In Europe it's 200 euro price. Way too expensive. Greetings from Valencia city
Great review. I'm still crushing miles in the 2 pairs of Endorphin Speed 2s that I have in rotation. I was thinking about trying to catch the ES3 on potential upcoming sales, but will likely skip that generation and grab a pair of ES4 instead.
About the price, I agree that the upward creep of shoes are a problem across the board. That said, you often tout On shoes which I think are always overpriced compared to other comparable shoes. Both the On Cloud Monster 2 and the On Cloud Eclipse are both $180 and they compete directly with the Asics Gel Nimbus 26 at $160 and the New Balance More v4 at $150 in the US.
Picked up the Speed 4 from Wiggle for £125, and absolutely love them!! 😊 Wiggle is in administration and was clearing stock. RRP is definitely too expensive, they will probably slowly drop the price over the year.
I was wondering if the high prices on shoes in the UK recently is something tax related? Shoes from Europe seem to be ok (Adidas/puma etc.) Yet shoes from further afield (Saucony, Asics etc.) Have a large discrepancy in pricing here compared to elsewhere. Just a thought...
I tried theses just over the weekend. I'm a neutral runner and I absolutely loved the first gen and have the 3 releases in the white mutant ( Pro, speed and shift ). These however don't have a good toe box for me and my inner big toes really rub on the inner side of the shoes... I think if I bought a pair, my toes would be through the front in no time sadly
I just got mine last week and ran a 4 mile race in them. Love the shoes. Two things I noticed. They are a little loud cause of the treads. And they run big. All my running shoes are 12.5 or 13. I bought these in 13 and the heel slips a tad. May exchange them for a 12.5.
I only bought these once I got 10% discount from them, then they were the correct price in my opinion too. But, they are a great shoe, think I'm 50 miles in too and they suit my mid pack speed perfectly.
I would expect to see some variance is retail prices between countries because of shipping costs but the UK price is ridiculous. How much I does the Speed 4 cost in Australia? Does the UK have some crazy import charges or the like?
Confused with the sizing. I’m a size 8 uk or eu 42 but size guide says 8 uk is 42.5 and Infact 7.5 is eu 42 (asics also seem to do the same) should I order according to uk size or eu I’m so confused
Thanks for the review, Ben. You say "pick up a [Speed] 2 or 3 somewhere" instead of spending all that cash on a pair of 4's, but I have not been able to find any in my size. Where would I go to buy a new pair of Endorphins Speed 2? I absolutely love that shoe.
Great Video as always Ben 🙌 I’m using the Boston 12 now as a faster Trainer for Tempo/Fartleks/Long Intervalls and it’s super great. Do you think the speed 4 would be a good option for easier Miles around 4:40-4:10? I’m looking for something that lets me aktivly recover from the workouts and the Boston 12 feels too energetic and keeps me on the forefoot😂 I need something to roll a bit more smoothly than punching me along. Hi Ben, need some help. Looking for a trainer that I can use for 5k training - so 1km*5 repeats etc… as well as when running the 5k itself. Would like to go purely for time and decreasing that, any recommendations?

When Saucony can keep the price of an improved Endo Pro 4 the same, but jacks up the price so much for the cultish Endo Speed, you know it’s purely a cash grab. Disappointing for sure. Like in the UK, in Oz the Speed has had a 12% price increase compared to 6% increase in the US.
