I have had the 50" MX-5000 24.5 HP for about 5 years and have had issues with the deck going crooked WITHOUT hitting anything, it seems to do it all by itself. Also the ride is BRUTAL. This week I got a new one with MyRide, still 50" but with the 23 HP Kawasaki. The comfort is a game changer, it's only about a Billion times more comfy. Now let's see if the deck can stay straight for more than 4 or 5 mowings (2.5 acres).....
Great choice of a mower! Toro changed their deck hanging design on their Timecutter series in 2020 and since that change we haven’t seen any issues. I think you will be very happy with your new mower!
I have the same riding mower however, I am going to attempt to siphon the transaxle fluid and replace it with the 20w-50. Did not see any external filters underneath the mower for the transmissions.. or does it have the filters and I just didn't see them? Great video in explaining in detail just didn't cover the transmission section.
This unit does not have serviceable transmissions. Which means 2 things: 1. There is not an external filter to change on these transmissions 2. It is not recommended to change the transmission fluid, the transmissions from the factory are fully functional and sealed to operate. Thank you for the compliment on the video and if you have any other questions please let me know and I would be glad to help!
I'm confused. I have a MyRIDE with a Kawasaki 23 HP. Kindly explian the best pactice in what speed (turtle/rabbit) to engage and disengage PTO. And what speed to start and shutdown engine. Thank you
The best speed to engage the PTO is at the 3/4 to full throttle position. The reason that you want to engage the blades at this speed is so that the engine is not under powered when trying to do so. If the engine is under powered it can lug and that will cause the belt to slap around and this can stretch out your belt or cause it to pop off on of the pulleys. As for the engine shut down there are some engines that require you to shut them off at full throttle due to their fuel solenoid, this is NOT one of those engines. That means that the best practice would be to idle the engine down and then shut it off. Hopefully this helps, if you have anymore questions let me know!
Due to the fact that the Timecutter series does not have a rollbar they do not allow a seat belt as an option. You would only want to use a seat belt in unison with the roll bar from a safety perspective. However if you would want to purchase a “ROPS Kit” you could and that would include the roll bar assembly which has a seatbelt built into it. Feel free to click the link below that would take you to the parts schematic for the rollbar assembly lookup3.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?xCaller=Toro&lang=us_en If you have any other questions let me know
They have not discontinued the Toro engine but that have limited how many models do offer the engine. For the 2023 season the Toro engine is only offered on select 2000 Series Zmaster models. The problem is that between the tariffs and shipping costs it has made the Toro engine very expensive. Toro will still supply parts for these engines for many years to come so I would not be afraid of buying a mower with a Toro engine on it but they are cutting back on the models that it is offered on.
This was a life saver I’ve used a raptor zero turner but never a myride. It’s not as difficult as I thought it would be but thanks a bunch.

Hi emmexfyv! Sorry, I've a question for you.. How many time you need to mown 2.5 acres?
Thank you in advance!
@@michelecostanzo137 It feels like I've mowed it a Million times! But in the growing season about once per week.
@@emmexfyv yes I agree with you. How many hours you need for a single cut?
I have 2 acres and I'm looking for a new rider.. :)
I think it's about 2 hours. Have not yet mowed this year so I am trying to remember.... @@michelecostanzo137
I'm so glad I got the Kawasaki!❤
It’s a great engine. Good choice!
Does it come with the Kawasaki engine as an option?

Should I get a mower with serviceable trans axle. I have an older cub cadet and it won't turn left anymore cause trans axle is going out

Hey could you put a seat belt on a 50 inch toro without my ride

Is there a rubber chute that can replace that plastic chute on this model?
No, unfortunately the plastic chute is the only option for this mower.
