How to Save You $1,000's Before Buying a Used Mower
It's a workhorse; I have one.
Maaaaaaaannnn Thank You Caleb! I've been taking the head off pulling it out by myself because I didn't know it had to be at full throttle. I have a question tho. How are the strings supposed to be lined up when I put the head back on please? Does the string go into the divets on the sides and then out the holes?
Does this take 2 batteries?
did it really need 3 guys with ride on lawn mowers to drive for an hour, over a pile of leafs 20 times, just to shred them to dust? would of been better to just collect and move them to somewhere else to rot down.
I wish I lived near that dealer ship, would’ve been heaven for me
This bagger you're using in the tutorial is half the price of the powered bagger for the titan max ($2337), do you happen to know if we can modify anything to get this timecutter bagger to fit the toro titan max?
This was a life saver I’ve used a raptor zero turner but never a myride. It’s not as difficult as I thought it would be but thanks a bunch.
I recently looked at this product. I noticed that when pulling the throttle lever back to the low rpm position the lever will not rest on the body of the control panel. When placing the throttle at the end of the control panel, it will spring forward about ½ inch from the end of the slot.
😢
On preloaded head and only one green string is out, its impossible to guess where the beginning is of the other string. By then youve ruined the preloaded head. Pain in the butt! Also, mine does not work tapping for extra string. Never has. Yeah dissatisfaction . Mary kay
This is a cartridge replacement, not installing your own string.

Home Depot and Lowes is saying it is self propelled but it's no?
Technically no, but the auger might chew the snow and the ground to give it a bit pull.

Great video. Thank you. The instructions that came with my new one are just pictures and hard to understand.

Any idea how much width this bagger set up adds to the 54 in model? I've got a 59 inch gate id need to get through. Although the disassembly of the shoot looks very simple

Hey! Great video. I just bought mine. It’s a 77301. I keep hearing conflicting information though. For instance. Exmark mowers say to throttle down before engaging the blades as taking something at a dead still to high RPMs can damage items. Is this not the case with Toro? Or are they designed differently? Thanks for any advice 😊
Can you use a 60v 6.0, 4.0 and 2.5 batteries as well?
Thanks...idk what's wrong with me, and it's really an easy saw to start. I recall going up on the mountain and cutting firewood with my dad and the other men and getting chainsaw started was always such a pain. I don't know if I'm just flashing back to that. And I don't use mine often enough, but I always have to remind myself the starting procedure. Anyway, good quick video. Saw started right up and i got the minor job complete and probably won't use it again for another month or two.
Would love to see a comparison video of this vs the snowblower on the multi force
I'm so glahd I've found your videos, which are so clear and to the point. I love my Timecutter 42". I find it hard to put air in the front tires due to limited space for air chucks to fit; also, should the fluid be changed in the transmission? I have a bumpy big yard and wonder if the hard bumps are damaging to the front wheels. Thanks for your videos!

I almost broke a window… then I looked this video up and no broken windows!
When it runs low how do you get the last bit out?
This video is severly under thumbed up. Great job.
Thank you!
THANK YOU!
You're welcome!
Are there no zero fittings and oil ports for regular maintenance?
The only grease fittings are for the front wheels. Otherwise there are no other grease points
is there a video on re-attaching the pull chord?...got it used...if it's an easy fix?...thx
We do not have a video on how to restring the recoil assembly. I’m sure there is a video somewhere on UA-cam about how to
Thank you for this video but now that it’s tracking straight, one steering arm is a bit more forward than the other one when going forward. It looks funny and is making my OCD go off the charts. Is it not possible to have both arms the same position and it also track straight?
My bags and their frames came separately. Any tips for attaching the bags to the their frames?
I have MS 251, I think it is plenty to cut firewood for one house. I use maybe a gallon per year of fuel in it. MS 251 and MS 271 are build very similar and should have about the same amount of hours of resource. If in your area you mostly get smaller diameter firewood MS 251 with a shorter bar will be more convenient, if you get huge logs get MS271 and a longer bar. I think that they can cut similar amount of firewood cords per saw's lifetime. For 1 household when you use 10 to 20 hours per year, both saws will last for decades. Both have excellent anti vibration system, very little vibration to the hands. But if you try to cut firewood for selling, 60 hours per week or so, these saws will last maybe several months, and professional models will be cheaper in the long run.
Can you get the other head forcing?Just run the line through it and wind it up that way or can get that for this model
That string head does not come standard in this model but it can be purchased and changed out. If you are wanting that style head you should consider upgrading to the FS40C-E. This difference in price between the two models is the same price as upgrading the head and you will also gain more user friendly features and power with the FS40C-E
Just what I needed. Thank you!!
Glad it helped!
