I ❤️ Korean air, I flew on the 747 from Honolulu to Incheon, After that I rode a BTS (AKA Boeing triple seven) to Manila, *yes I did that on purpose lol* the staff is very kind, seats r super clean, and they even have special stuff for kids like origami activities and special menus! On the BTS you could play games on your monitor! It was literally so cool! In *my opinion* Korean air should be the best airline! Lol I didn’t know how but a Korean ad popped up when I was typing this lol!

I share your passion for the 747. I can remember them all the way back to the early 1970's as a small child. I have flown Korean Air one time from ICN to JFK on A380 business class. It was the best flight of my life. I had the same experience with the cabin crew, they were outstanding.
A very good flight video. I've rode on Korean Air before to Manila, Philippines from Toronto, Canada via Incheon last November 2015 and back home to Canada last April 2016. I'll also plan to ride Korean Air once again for my vacation trip to Manila, Philippines from November 2023 to May 2024. Anyway, take care and may God continue to bless us all always.
While Skytrax is not exactly the most reliable metric for airline quality, I do agree with their giving Korean Air 5 stars, together with the likes of Singapore, ANA and Cathay. Awesome amenities, delicious and good size portion meals, friendly, respectful and attentive crews (FAs *run* to you if you press the call bell), and unbelievably good seat pitch (34 inch in economy, say what??? LoL). I only recently started flying with them again, when I switched most of my domestic flying to Delta, so naturally a lot of my flying in general shifted to Skyteam. But anyway, I was so impressed with how good KE became. Now I look forward to any and all flights with them when I travel to Asia.
This is a nice long haul flight towards North America, Europe & other far destinations.
Thank you! Your review helped a lot because you explained the seat in great detail. Most reviewers dont explain the seat in detail and I think the seat comfort on long flight is the most important part.
Thank you. I enjoyed watching. I flew once with Korean air back in summer 2016...and I m only discovering now many nice areas in Incheon airport. I will fly again with Korean air in august 2023. B747-8i from Paris to Seoul and B777-300 from Seoul to Manila. I reserved also my seats in the back. It would be my first 748 flight. I took the A380 in 2016.

Hello! I came across your channel and watch the whole video very interesting because my husband and I we just came back from our vacation to The Philippines in Samar Calbayog city .We stayed for one month and we flew Korean Airbus 380 from JFK New York to Incheon Korea then from incheon to Manila back and forth and it was pretty much a long flight my husband said almost 14 hours from JFK to Incheon. Our first time flying Korean Airlines. I have been to LAX too flying Philippine Airlines and I saw Mt. Fuji couple times ! Thank you for sharing! Great video! Just returned from Phnom Penh Cambodia on The Queen. ICN to ATL very roomy seats. I'm 5'4" plenty plenty leg room. Food was not bad. The Bibim bap, beef Bulgogi and the rice cakes were good. viewed your videos prior to my flight out: ATL-LAX-ICN-PHN found my way around the terminals easily.

It’s easy to get into Seoul on the AREX, 30 minutes to Seoul station.
Lufthansas and Korean Air will likely be the easiest way to book a 747-8 flight from US. Air China doesn't have that many 747-8 routes to US

Great trip report thank you. Very nicely shot. The 747-8, especially in KoreanAir colours, is a beautiful sight to behold. I very much enjoyed watching your report. Glad you were able to see the beautiful sunset despite the cabin crew asking you to pull down the shades. It annoys me when this happens. KoreanAir, Cathay Pacific, ANA and EVA are notorious for enforcing TOTAL darkness, even on 15 hour daylight flights from US to East Asia. Crazy. It's like flying in a coffin. Plus, you miss all the amazing scenery below and the joy of flying. I always try and leave it part-way, so at least I can have a partial view of outside. Sometimes the crew are quite militant - especially on Cathay!😄 Great job. Thanks again.
Thank you for mentioning this. I can confirm that Koreanair does this regularly on flights from ICN to Europe even if the entire flight is during daytime (at origin and destination). Had discussions with the cabin crew on three flights because of this. Militant is the correct word to describe them in this context.

You might be able to purchase online, but you can also go directly to Lounge L and purchase there

The Travel Agency I booked with gave me a day pass, you can purchase a day pass and will be limited to 4 hours at any of the 3 lounges

The B-747 looks somewhat like the A380, but the only difference is the length of the upper deck
