I have lost count on how many times of Jordan scoring 50 or more points against a physical championship team like the Detroit Pistons. Isiah Thomas once said there has been no athlete in all professional sports that seems to possess stamina and endurance like Michael Jordan. Thomas said that whether Jordan is playing against the best team or the worst team, Jordan consistently plays at a high energy level while he, Johnson and Bird could not reach. He also said that Jordan, who is healthy, continued to play at a high level while he, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird succumbed to injuries. This is why a healthy, high playing level Jordan was able to win three consecutive NBA championships twice while Thomas, Johnson, and Bird faltered with age and injuries. Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time. This game shows you everything you need to know about Jordan’s offensive abilities. 61 points against the best defense in the league, and not a single three-pointer.

You have every right to think what you want but we have a right to call you out when you talk nonsense in a public format online. You are avoiding very basic topics when comparing the two Jordan has countless things he's done that Kobe has never come close to achieving on the offensive end and defensive end. please post the number of 30 and 40 plus games Jordan's numbers are absolutely staggering
This is what real offense is. 61 points against this championship level hall of fame defense on the road. F Kobe and his 81 against cellar dwellars in February. Kobe wouldn't have got 30 in this game. And you can tell Mike really only cares about winning....he's not trying to pose or look cool... the man just wants to win.
This before the infamous playoff matchups, Zeke n MJ very cordial...pat on the butt here, arm around Zeke there... but Detroit knew we can’t play regular ball vs him we need something a little bit more. Very next year he gives them 59...

61 points on the Bad Boy Pistons! Let that sink in. One of the toughest, nastiest defenses the NBA has ever seen. In comparison, LeFraud James scored 61 only ONCE in a now super soft league, against a lowly Bobcats team in a blowout win, while playing for the “superteam” Miami Heat. The kids have no idea these days what a real great baller is.
Right before the 4:40 minute mark, the announcer said Jordan has 31. He made a free throw before that and had 30. He meant to say 32. I will continue watching each time he scores. To see if they kept up with the right score or not and correct it before or by halftime.
I keep saying look at the players scoring numbers who played in pre- hand checking era and post hand- checking era like Iverson, Kobe, Paul pierce etc. Then you will realize there was a difference due to the allowed physicality of the leave. Jordan was doing this when things were very physical .
You got that right!!! I'm arguing with another Laker fan (mikenotnumber1) about Kobe and he keeps calling me a "hater" when I bring up Kobe's production in the Finals!!! Yet, he wants to say that Kobe is as good as Jordan. What an idiot!!!
I think this was the game that led to the Jordan rules; Pistons had enough of MJ beating them by himself and came up with the most-sophisticated defensive scheme to contain a single player the game has ever seen. Pippen and Grant joined Jordan after the 86/87 season, and the Bulls went on to the first of four consecutive playoff meetings with Detroit. The last real rivalry was born (NY isn't comparable at all, there was real hate between Chicago and Detroit).
Hahaha the younger generation needs to watch this video everybody who watched Michael Jordan we know who the goat is that's why Isaiah Thomas Bill Laimbeer John Salley hate Jordan that's why they made the Jordan rules and they still couldn't stop him

I miss watching him play. Glad I got to see him play in person a couple times.
Yep King fans. Free throws are important through out a game and the best make them.
Michael Jordan is just the greatest Basketball player I ever seen. It ain’t even close.
GOATNESS
Alien !
Was there on my 18th birthday? I was so excited to see Michael Jordan play. To this day my favorite all-time NBA player.
The Pistons really brought out the best in Michael Jordan whether it was Detroit or Chicago! He wanted the Crown early!👍
Damn
The Greatest NBA player, the most famous Michael Jordan legend dominating the entire human world,. Good lucks and more power'$ , congratulation,.
JORDAN IS UNMATCHED ON THE BASKETBALL COURT.
And then you have the birth of the "Jordan Rule's"!
That 2 hand drop step and 1 got him Excited....wow hes amazing
Rare moment at 9:03 with MJ putting his arm around Isiah after the game. I thought those two hated each other after the 1985 Allstar game
There's a lot that I can name, I would strain myself to do it.
Without the hand check rule Jordan would have averaged 50 a game today
mj the man
and your the man for having all these
where did you get them from ?
I think it was this particular game when Detroit decided “oh yeah, we definitely gotta fuck Jordan up for disrespecting us in our house like this” 🤣🤣
This before the infamous playoff matchups, Zeke n MJ very cordial...pat on the butt here, arm around Zeke there... but Detroit knew we can’t play regular ball vs him we need something a little bit more. Very next year he gives them 59...
This was pre-Jordan rules..brutal defense. Zeke had the nerve to say LBJ is a better player🤔🤨
61 pts vs the best defense at the time!👀
By the it was the first year of 1987 WFLD-TV Became Fox Television by the year 1990-91 the Fox Network started to show shows 7 days a week. Thanks to 21 Jump Street & Married with Children Fox's 2 successful shows. 32 did show The Jetsons Meet The Flintstones .
5:50 hitting the corner of the backboard?.....wow, just wow.
superman!
9:02 I mean Michael gets along with Isaiah
Jordan hugged Thomas in the end. They were still in good terms then.
Jordan was!!!!!Thomas has always been a rat!
this was 28 years ago, but still very impressive.
claudine69retoke you just made me feel old as hell
pheeel17 haha, bro, time really flies when you're having fun, :)
10 years before I was born
Right before the 4:40 minute mark, the announcer said Jordan has 31. He made a free throw before that and had 30. He meant to say 32. I will continue watching each time he scores. To see if they kept up with the right score or not and correct it before or by halftime.
Heavy Gratitude
The man turned the lay up into an art form
Stop talking and post their career stats playoff and regular season! you won't because you know what they'll reveal.
bighare08 what’s ur point ? Ur one of those stats padded guys
Pippen: Michael was a terrible player before me joining Chicago..oh yeah, terrible
“Lace em up its gonna be a long fucking night “
-Jordan to the pistons
Love to see lebum try to get 61 without making 3 pointers
I keep saying look at the players scoring numbers who played in pre- hand checking era and post hand- checking era like Iverson, Kobe, Paul pierce etc. Then you will realize there was a difference due to the allowed physicality of the leave. Jordan was doing this when things were very physical .
You got that right!!! I'm arguing with another Laker fan (mikenotnumber1) about Kobe and he keeps calling me a "hater" when I bring up Kobe's production in the Finals!!! Yet, he wants to say that Kobe is as good as Jordan. What an idiot!!!
Bulls@ Pistons at the Sliverdome on WFLD-TV Channel 32 & WMAQ ALL-News 670
@kOrOne79 . mj had a jump shot in his high school years.
damd avg 37.2ppg in the modern day, nobody can do that.
Dave Corzine: GOAT
Finally, somebody knows the truth! Brian Scalabrine is 2nd
How’s it going, Dave?
Hahaha the younger generation needs to watch this video everybody who watched Michael Jordan we know who the goat is that's why Isaiah Thomas Bill Laimbeer John Salley hate Jordan that's why they made the Jordan rules and they still couldn't stop him
Why the hell does the search bar say "how bad you want it lebron james" just by clicking it?
Damn Jordan gave Isaiah dap at the end of the game 💯
