@dafuzzymonster this version was either a secret track on the "These Streets" album, or the deluxe version of the album of the same name. I own the album I just can't put my hands on it right now and can't remember if I bought deluxe or not, cheers.
A bit shaky (yes, his style) but not too bad... *3/5*. I am sure I have heard a very slow version of this song by a female singer but I can't find it (not Amy MacDonald)
This is where he pours all his amazing talent at once. Lets face it: he does it better than douguie mclean. The only fault on this rendition is that he doesnt sing the whole of the lyrics. I would just love to hear him singing dany boy!
This song makes people who aren't Scottish proud to be Scottish
as a Scotsman who has been traveling the world for the last 3 years cant tell ya the chills this song brings me love Scotland

Between this, and flower of Scotland, two of the greatest songs ever! respect from Eire.

Our Celtic roots make us practically brother countries, and like brothers we have our fallouts but the love is still there
Written by Scottish songwriter Doug MacLean and sung, fantastically, by our scottish home-boy Paolo Nuttini. Love it.
As you know Paolo is actually half scottish half italian and his faither cries fae the town of Barga in Italy
Paulo is good. Good Celtic fan too
Wish there was an album version of this, its by far the best version.

Love how he changed the rhythm from the original 3/4 to 2/2. Gives the words a lot more space to breath. Genius.

This is a very Scottish song (Caledonia being a nickname for Scotland) and he's also Scottish, from Paisley near Glasgow.
