For those seeking context: During one of the Next Generation episodes Enterprise is trying to establish relations with a species that speaks entirely in mythical allegory. Stuff like "Gilgamesh and Enkidu at the temple of Uruk" would be "two enemies become the dearest of friends" The episode basically goes about establishing a common mythos the two people can pull from when talking to each other and one of the stories Picard uses to do so is the Epic of Gilgamesh.
Back here after seeing the latest Babylonia episode. This became much more meaningful after viewing that. And I see that this got deleted once. Glad that it got reuploaded, at least.
Which then made Gilgamesh swear to never have another friend ever again to make Enkidu never lose the value Gil had with them Enkidu’s loss, while Gil chooses not to admit it really f*** himself up socially

Man the artwork was splendid!! Also, having the participants of the 5th Grail War as Uruk's daily residents with their servants is kinda cute. Sakura, Illya, & Shirou were happy being with Medusa, Heracles, & Arturia. Also, Enkidu's face at 1:26 was hilarious as Gil was trying to prevent his friend from joining Ereshkigal-chan who was weirdly in a just a few feet beneath the ground… 😅🤣 Its also funny how Enkidu just threw Chibi-Gugalana at Ishtar's face while Gil's just smug and chuckling in the back!! Bahahaha!! 🤣 But near the end where Caster Gil is sitting on his throne while being surrounded by Chaldea's other heroic spirits gave of a serene smile was beautiful!! You could clearly see he seemed to be at peace for the most part, its utterly gorgeous!! 🤭
