a monster or maybe a villain that I think would be cool to appear in some upcoming Kong movie in the Monsterverse would be Quetzalcoatl, because he was one of the villains that appeared in Kong: the animated series, so technically he's part of the Kong franchise , and he is in the Monsterverse, so in my opinion it would be really cool for Legendary to adapt this to the Monsterverse
Quetzalcoatl is actually already in the monsterverse as one of the titans in king of the monsters that was said to be awakened by king ghidorah and attack a city. It’s just we didn’t see him but the novel confirms him
If you think about it after Kong killed the first Warbat, and used him as a mace against the second one, if he immediately went on the kill instead of roaring, he would have basically handled both of them alone. The greatest weakness of Kong it's his inexperience but altought he is young, Kong is very adaptable (after being constricted by the Nozuki and then helped by the humans, Kong understood how immobilize the Warbat, and by blocking his wings he started to beat it to death, so we already seen that Kong is adaptable and already growing in strenght). Anyway fantastic list
I would love to see Kong fight another member of his species. Imagine the character development kong could get with this. Kong wanting to be with another member of his own kind, while also being locked in combat with another Kong. He'd have to choose between himself and non-hostile creatures that align with him, or this new, aggressive Kong.
Thanks for opening my eyes king! Before this video I only knew of the war bats, skull crawlers, V-Rex, Camozotz,and that giant octopus But now I know way more of his rouges gallery! Never knew he had this many villains
Oddly enough this gives me a reason to check out both Kong of skull Island and Kong God of skull Island, because I never knew those comics existed until you bring them up and I have to say thank you cuz now I have some reading to do.
Your Pteranodon segment perfectly encapsulates why I love Rodan so much in all of his appearances. Though some of the Showa designs are a bit goofy in the face, lol. Here's hoping he reappears one day in the Monsterverse. Oh and if they ever do decide to bring Gorosaurus in, I hope they stick with the old, monstrous depiction of his dinosaur image instead of modernizing it. They've done a great job so far of sticking to that idea, so have him standing upright, dragging his tail, and keep his bumpy, crocodile-like skin.
Yes!!! I’ve always loved Rodan being this hybrid between the pteranodons we see here in this comic mixed with the retro classic showa design, which would be my dream design. For some reason 56 has such a badass look, as does MV and FW, so I would love a blend of all three plus these pteranodons but with more muscle. Rodan is awesome man. I LOOOOOVE Rodan! The idea of a flying A-bomb who is as big as Godzilla and can give him one hell of a fight is absolutely insane.

I love the '56 design, and they pretty much nailed the look in the Monsterverse, while incorporating his connection to fire/lava that have been there since the beginning, with his species hailing from a volcano, gaining the red, Fire Rodan title in the Heisei era, which carried over to the FW design as well. And it fits the Skull Island/Hollow Earth idea that all the kaiju, flora and fauna have mixed together with the elements. I'm actually hoping we get some sort of nod to Kong's electrically charged fists some day in the Monsterverse.
Fantastic list, my friend! I love that you went super in depth within the franchise to research for this video. I wasn't expecting anything from the BOOM! Comics at all! And while I did expect you to include some Animated Series monsters, I'm glad you did, cause you're giving exposure to these creatures so other people will seek out that amazing show! I need to watch the series again before I think of compiling my own, but again, this is a great list/video. Loved it! Also, I 100% agree that the Animated Series has strong summer vibes! Haha whenever I watch it, it brings me back to the good old days :')
I would have definitely found a spot for windigo on this list. It had it's own unique soundtrack that was eerie and felt like impending doom. It also paid off that build up well, as it was a ridiculously powerful monster, that like chiros, was able to handle mega kong with ease. The skeletal color scheme and the purple aura work nicely together (though the design change confused me). Definitely on of my favorite monsters from the show.
Oh man I definitely see your point. Personally I didn't care too much about the Windigo (as a kid growing up on cryptids I was SOOO hyped to see a Wendigo looking kaiju but then we got this weird pokemon esque titan), but I remember genuinely being afraid for Kong and gang's safety when watching that episode! I can also totally see why others think that monster is cool, because it's immensely unique. Thanks for the comment!

Fun fact, the Warbats are not actually Titans much like the Skullcrawlers they are normal creatures from the Hollow Earth. Their scientific name is Vellum Vespertilio meaning Paper Bats. They are however apparently Titan hunters as far as I am gathering from some conversations.
Various people at Legendary like Greg Keyes. There is an unofficial term or two thrown around about non-Titan giant monsters in the MV, one used is Sub-Titans. Basically if it has a normal scientific name it’s not a Titan, so Genitor, Skullcrawlers, Warbats, Rock Critters, and Spirit Tigers are not Titans. Unless a creature has the title indicator “Titanus” (which is NOT part of the scientific name) then it’s not a Titan, the GVK opening is not canon by Wingard’s own comments on it before it gets brought up. The MUTO are Titans and are actually called Titanus Jinshin-Mushi
But there are some monsters you forgot about adding this video from King Kong Related media like the Meat eater from 1st movie Giant octopus godzilla vs king kong and 2 giant snake from King Kong escape and King Kong 1976 just saying. 🐍🦍

@@KingKong19100 I am actually making a movie with a spinosaurs like monster when I am older, it is called Vulcan, a solder leaves his family on his sons birthday, and due to Vulcan coming out of the volcano, he gets killed, 15 years later, his son is a hardened soldier, who wants to take revenge on the Vulcan, and he discovers 14 years ago, 1 year after his father died, they are building a mech to kill Vulcan, they then go inside the volcano, and they discover some stuff, and they awaken Vulcan, and then he goes to St. Louis which will be more explained in the sequel, so the mech arrives and they fight in a rough battle, and he kills the mech, and then Vulcan destroys the city and leaves a dry wasteland, almost like what we saw at the end of kotm, I’ll be it with actually great cgi, and the son let’s everything go and jumps off of a plane, he then has to gernades in his hands, he then gets eaten and blows up Vulcan from the inside out, then a funeral happens.
Damn. Kong monsters went from “big dinosaur go brrrrrrrr” to “demonic unknown creature that will hunt you down and nearly kill kong”
