The curry one is the best IMO, they've got the best flavor and the spicy is turned down just to the right level, where you are still able to enjoy them. Also a note to everyone, in this one unlike the ones that come with sesame seeds and seaweed, you need to add the toppings along with the sauce packet because those are dried veggies, so they need to rehydrate a little bit.

The curry Samyang noodles actually have different instructions from the rest. You're supposed to cook the toppings with the noodles before draining and adding in the sauce!

Tried the Curry ones earlier this week. They're delicious and not as hot as some of the other flavours. I only need to try the Cheese ones and I've sampled them all :) Unfortunately they don't sell that flavour over here :(
the little toppings are dried potato fries, dried carrot and textured vegetable protein! it says in the list of ingredients in the back of the package!:)
Ooh quick thing to recommend since they are my favorite type of noodles now. Go ahead and fill your pot with water halfway up to the volume of noodles. Chop up mushrooms, red onions, cilantro, cherry tomatoes and bell peppers and place it in to the pot. Wait till the end when the noodles are halfway done. Then go ahead and pour on the sauce and other packet. And wait for the water to boil down and done. It was super delicious and the vegetables took all of the flavor from the sauce packet.
These are my favorite! Just so you know for next time, you are supposed to cook the flakes with the noodles. But if you like them crispy, then by all means add them at the end. I might have to try them that way, haha. :)

the basic is the one i was requesting emmy to taste, not for the spice challenge.But we do have the "hot head" range of flavors here in India which are suppose to be very spicy but in my opinion they are pretty mild. Check for this range of maggi availability

We have chicken, beef, chicken & corn, and 'oriental' flavours (there used to be more), but they just come with a single powdered seasoning sachet and they taste very plain. We don't have a hot range, or any with chilli at all!
we do have chicken masala but not have beef, chicken & corn or any oriental flavors, so even I cant discuss the differences between flavors, though the basic maggi masala is the most loved flavor in India and typically consumed at "any time" of the day :D

even those these are rated as "milder" in spice than the regular hot chicken, I find it to be spicier to my tongue. This is EASILY my favorite of the Samyang's, with the original a close second (though I still need to try the Carbo)

Emmy had a problem finding a pair from her collection of sticks and I who live here far north have never used chop sticks in my life and I have never even tasted spicy noodles. Would like to though. Maybe one day I will find them somewhere.

I go to my local Korean supermarket every couple of weeks and buy the original flavor (sometimes the 2x spicy ones too!) and make them with cut up green onions and a tablespoon of crunchy peanut butter. Yumms!!

I feel so grateful that my local Mei Dong (Asian supermarket) carries these in the 2x spicy version. There's also a 99 ranch about 14 miles away from my house which carries a lot more. And I kind of pity the people who have to buy these online.

I ate these for the first time last night (the curry version) and really struggled. After watching this video I had a pre-conceived idea that they aren't as spicy as the original spicy noodles. Hello from Quebec, Canada! We just bought the curry and stew noodles last week. I used half the sauce that you used plus topped them with sauteed baby bok choy and it was super spicy. You used the whole package of sauce! That would have hurt me haha! The curry flavour was great though as were the chewy bouncy noodles. My boyfriend had the stew version and it was really good as well! I have been enjoying your videos since your very first one in Japan many years ago and we love your bee videos too!
Finally!!!! Found curry, black bean, stew type, AND 2x spicy in my local asian market!!! I just ate the curry with you. Although i only purchased the single serve bowls. If we like it we will purchase the multi packs. We purchase the cheese, and carbo frequently. I have yet to find the cold fire noodles or samyangs ghost pepper noodles. Just picked up a 5 pack of these on amazon and I gotta tip my hat to you, I couldn’t make it past 2 bites without reaching for the water. These noodles are super delicious and the heat is pretty much at my threshold for where I feel it but am able to enjoy my meal all the way through. The chicken flavor is lost in the curry and chili flavors but the curry is meant to be the star of the show. I am actually starting to crave some more of these but alas it is almost 2 in the morning and I don’t want to torture myself all night. I think I might need to try the Samyang spicy chicken cheesy noodles next.
I'm eating noodles while watching this, not that spicy though 😁 And how great idea to color the chopsticks! 💡I have to do that also. In Finland people don't really use chopsticks commonly, but when I was younger I decided to learn to use them and nowadays I always eat my noodles with them, sometimes other foods too 😄
I had those recently and really liked them. I love the regular fire noodles, so I had to try these. There are similarities in flavor between the two, but the curry adds a new dimension to them.
These come with all the ingredients to stir fry. Gotta put the sauce in the meat to marinade. The seasoning packet can go right into the oil you fry the veggies with. then throw the meat on that and then the noodles on the whole thing. (cook the noodles first!) while you prep the veggies/meat.
I wish they would make a Samyang Variety Pack with all the spicy flavors :). Excellent video as always Emmy!!

To pair up your chopsticks you could also use an elastic band to keep the pairs together, when they're in the cupboard/drawer.

In Finland people don't really use chopsticks commonly, but when I was younger I decided to learn to use them and nowadays I always eat my noodles with them, sometimes other foods too 😄

I had those recently and really liked them. I love the regular fire noodles, so I had to try these. There are similarities in flavor between the two, but the curry adds a new dimension to them.

These come with all the ingredients to stir fry. Gotta put the sauce in the meat to marinade. The seasoning packet can go right into the oil you fry the veggies with. then throw the meat on that and then the noodles on the whole thing. (cook the noodles first!) while you prep the veggies/meat.
