I encountered them years ago in the Ocala National Forest. They were a bunch of thieves, loud, and all around felt very unsafe. Everyone begging for cigs, drugs, food, etc. It wasn't much fun. We left the following morning to a new spot. Not saying they all are bad, just not for me at all.
Do these two take drugs weed ? Why do they like these ghastly rainbow gatherings! Sorry if they were raised going to them! I would never go to one! They are not right.
There is every type of person at rainbow gathering.. just like any major city. Sounds like you were in what we call A camp. Always located near the parking lot

Fire Bans have happened at many rainbow gatherings in the past. That never seemed to stop gatherings. Volunteer Fire Watch people would patrol and ask people to comply with no fires, day and night time.Other times the forest service would come out and issue everyone who wanted one a fire permit, so everyone could know how to make and maintain safe fires. Road blocks not new, but courts have ruled in the past that the forest service was not allowed to block the roads and deny people access. What happened this year ? Sounds like an end run around the constitution. Excuses were made to execute an unconstitutional law enforcement action, it would seem. There have always been hostile locals saying bad things, but mostly people have accepted Rainbows. Thanks to everyone who has ever volunteered to help put out a fire in the forest, Americas real heroes.

My background: Former Shanti Sena, I did search and rescue, fire suppression, medical evacuation, and general keeping of the peace, in a non violent way. Ive retired from the Rainbow Gatherings, I gave my years of service, too old now to run through the forest and help save people. The younger generation continues. Hope this answers your question. Many of these gatherings are unwelcoming of strangers you must be the right skin color and have similar ideologies etc etc in this case rainbow ideology whatever that is These gatherings are not for all must belong or else For example bohemian groove, secret gatherings by secret societies etc etc Must belong or else!!!!!!

I worked in Jasper five times. I saw the news, they evacuated the whole park, hoping to heck the fire doesn't get into town.
