Suggestions. Ditch the webber. Put on Mikuni's. Remove the 2 cam idlers from inside the engine and shorten the timing chain 2 links. You will lose about 30-40lbs of weight off the strain of the engine and gain about 20-30hp. She will idle ruff when cold. But its a small price to pay.

No hablo ingles pero lo q busco es la barra estabilizadora del motor donde va sincronizada la bomba de aceite, es el motor mitsuvishi modelo1987, 2.6, 4 cilindros, 8 valvulas, carburada, igual al tiene ud. Cuanto costara la barra q es como un arbol de levas
Well this comment 7 years too late and you've already f***** up as you might have realized you don't send metal parts while you're working on an engine especially laws together. You did go with the weather though did you know you can put a Montero long tube header on that thing and it'll fit. I ordered a long tube header for a Montero that fit perfectly in my 82 Plymouth Sapporo . That's what I love about all the two six rear wheel drive vehicles truck car every single engine part will fit even the truck long tube header will fit a car. What's a good rebuild balance lightweight flywheel getting rid of all the b******* and the Weber in the long tube header lemonade the balance shafts and a fluid dampener you got a good 200 horse naturally aspirated which is more than the turbocharged version
I ended up selling it like an idiot... the heads was fine and the carb was tuned where it needed to be....on the other hand the cam was busted on one side
I have an '87 Montero with the same engine. Can't wait to install my weber carb. The original Mikuni carb is such a mess of hoses and wires.
I swapped my 87 B2600 to a Weber 38/38 and am very happy with it. These Mitsubishi 2.6's were in a lot of vehicles!!!

Is this mod for the 2.6L? Also WHAT mikunis and what intake manifold? When you say cam idlers, do you mean balance shafts or what?

All the Mitsubishi 2.6's have timing chains. The 2.0's have the timing belts.
