I've seen boundary breaks spin-off channel on this situation and I saw some of the comments mentioning Nintendo's doing this because of the Super Mario Bros movie and I've got a feeling this is perfect for new gen Mario fans.
it also gives LM3 players a chance to experience the second game without emulation or buying a 3DS!

Did you know it the 2 was originally dark moon it was a sequal so the 2 logo was in all regions
the games name is 2 but for the European versions it got called 2 dark moon
It was only known as Dark Moon in North America. In every other region, it was "Luigi's Mansion 2."
Thank goodness they're retroactively calling it Luigi's Mansion 2 globally now that we have a third game. The second game's title always stuck out like a sore thumb.
I wonder if Nintendo does porting Luigi's mansion 1 for switch instead of remastering this masterpiece

The one that mattered most was "Good-a Job" anyways. I can't believe they butchered that in 3 and replaced it with the map.

2:55 The BGM they used for the multiplayer section of this overview trailer sounds a lot like the 'Dark World Dungeon' soundtrack from 'A Link To The Past'.

My only problem with this remaster is the lighting. Everything looks good. The redone models, textures, everything.

I would have preferred if Nintendo had remaked the original LM on Switch instead of porting the game to 3DS which IMO was an odd decision given that the console was shortly discontinued.

…I’ll get this when it’s on sale or something. Not paying $60 for a remaster of a 3DS game. It doesn’t look nowhere as good as Luigi’s Mansion 3, that game was a feast for the eyes.

Luigi's Mansion 2 and Monster Hunter 1 Nintendo 3DS games comes for Nintendo Switch as a HD Ports what's so awesome, defienitily because I've never played Luigi's Mansion 2 on the 3DS so it's awesome Luigi's Mansion 2 is coming for the Switch and I have Monster Hunter Stories 1 on the Nintendo 3DS and Stories 2 on the Nintendo Switch, people who don't have Monster Hunter Stories 1 i'm so glad they can play and enjoy with Monster Hunter Stories 1 on today's platforms PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC, i'm so glad for they who don't even have 3DS! I like more Monster Hunter Stories than Mainline Series because they're more like Pokémon-like games. Because of those 2 awesome 3DS games are coming for Nintendo Switch, could games like Super Mario 3D Land, The Legend of Zelda Tri Force Heroes or Kirby Robobot Planet coming for Switch too? Defienitily I would love to see Tri Force Heroes and Robobot Planet what I've never played! Happy summer and Pride everyone! 😊❤

The only thing that bugs me are the visuals, they look good but not as gorgeous as LM3.
But I know this game will still be as fun as the original on 3DS
I'm glad they didn't completely re-use assets from LM; Dark Moon had its own style which I think the remaster emulates considerably well so I like it.
So where’s Wind Waker switch port??.. I’ve been waiting 7 years for it.

Don’t get me wrong it looks great and this game was one of those games that made my childhood however I already have the original there’s nothing about this that really screams I need to go buy this game again other than just being better

That's exactly how I feel about the TTYD remake(except it wasn't part of my childhood). It's good, even great, but I don't see why people have to over-glorify a game that already exists again so I just don't care much for it. 😅

Everything else looks great, so why does the lighting on Luigi specifically look so much worse than the original? It just looks unfinished.
It looked that way in the reveal trailer too, so it seems like they’re really not gonna fix it before launch.
To elaborate a little: he looks almost like he’s made of plastic? It kinda makes him look like a character in a Lego game.
Neat effect for a toy, really weird looking on Luigi.
And still, very few trailers on the American side. Almost all of them are Japanese.

I would but it just got really boring over time. We've played it way too much. I just would have loved for him to experience lm2 for the first time together with me, but I guess I'll just watch while he plays or something if we do decide to buy the remaster
I wish they had done the original again. Even if it meant porting the 3DS remake. LM2 is really the weakest of the 3 games imo.

It's not a remake. It's a remaster. Also, why do you want it exclusive to the 3DS? The online mode doesn't work for that console anymore officially, and Pretendo doesn't have Dark Moon support yet.

It works much better on 3ds with 2 screens and besides micro transactions will be a thing in this version we know modern game company's and new problems will arise from this version too
I was hoping the graphics would have improved from the reveal trailer to release. Still pretty disappointing considering what they had done with LM3.

@@Timlockwood8818 luigis mansion 3 uses a different engine form LM2 which is why the Grapics are much more polished and clean
