Category 3 Hurricane Idalia made landfall along the Florida Peninsula during the morning of August 30. Intense white out conditions brought down trees and power lines, and damaged buildings all across Taylor County FL.

My hometown. You were only about 3 miles from my parents’ house. They left about 3 a.m. that morning when I called and told them it had just become a Cat 4, but my brother and sister n law stayed. Most of my family members and friends did. Thankfully everyone was ok! It was still a 2 when it reached us here in Lowndes County, GA. I haven’t seen this footage before. It’s insane. I couldn’t even tell where you were at first until I could see the Hardee’s sign.
