What are you talking about? Redditors are the ones being appealed and catered to by Jagex. We only get new content if it's what Reddit likes. They struck down ruinous powers because they confused reddit.

I'm all for a new prayer book but let's do it right. Desert Treasure 2 is huge enough as it is. The new prayer book wasn't too bad as described but I know the team can blow it out of the water versus what was previously proposed. I'll be voting yes for it when it comes around again
I just wanted to say quickly - picked up the game 6mo ago after a ten year hiatus. Working on my quest cape. Came across some of the new stuff, and for example, Garden of Death was spectacular fun to do without a guide. So totally hyped for the environmental storytelling in this. Great work guys ❤
Yes brother, I’m on the quest cape grind myself just now. Finished dragon slayer 2 and mm2 and just about to take on seren for song of the elves. Loving the game just now
Same been playing since 04 and had breaks, jumped on this year again and got my first quest cape/fire cape, working on high level bossing now and getting into raids
I've come back after quitting when rs3 came out, in 1 year I've gotten my quest cape, got my fire cape for the very first time and also got my farming skill cape as that one seemed to need the least time per day to get.
@@ticalculator830 they're delivering flawed content while applying feedback. All rs3 recycled content we've gotten is fire (except korasi and the spec weapon power creep)
0:57 played back in RuneScapes prime, and one of the most distinct memories I have is seeing a player in full ghostly robes with an ancient staff and prayer book and being in complete awe of them. Always thought the staff looked sick

This is so awesome! Desert Treasure 1 I remember the most out of any quest because my first time through the Shadow and Blood bosses, they used to really kick my ass BAD, i had no idea what i was doing and died multiple times. Super happy they're putting a 2nd part here for this quest and maybe unleashing more of the Far Southern map of Al'kharid?!
Updating only the ghostly robes and making the ghostly robes relevant again would be cool. Upgrading the eternal boots to provide a magic strength bonus would be fitting. Adding a magic amulet to be comparable to that of torture and anguish would be expected. Take a new gem from DT2 and combine it with fury and zenyte at 99 crafting to make amulet of ahhnilation. Introduce an ancient god magic cape. Introduce the king thrall unlocked with DT2. Introduce a new god cape that can be combined with all god mage capes and the 4 scepter stones to make the 1 magic cape to rule them all. I know tacky reference. Introduce a blood gem that when worn with blood fury is a life leech against only monsters.
HYPE. Love hearing that it takes 4 smaller quests and ties them together into a bigger thread. I can't wait to see some old and forgotten about storylines comeback and get finished!
Geeked. Obviously this community is terrified of change, but the content team has done an amazing job over the last few years, so we've got some trust. Love the dev interviews, and appreciate that they're players just like us who want the best for this game.
the only thing that I can say that I dislike about this quest is how much lamer the sceptre looks compared to the staff, kinda wish it was just a staff again instead. Everything else looks really cool!
I really wish they just ported some of the late 2007-2012 quests to osrs. Some of them were so good like While Guthix Sleeps, indeed also Chosen Commander. The Void Knight series. Some other sequels to old quests. It’s nice we did get a sequel to the Elf series and The Vampire one but idk why they can’t just put some quests back in the way they were, why change something that was already good.
@@Hollow_Tim I agree on this, although some people say it's controversial. The Void Knight series especially deserves some love, now that Korasi's is back though, I'm not sure what they'd do. WGS was excellent, obviously DT2 will be Mahjarrat so I'm not sure how they'd go about it now but it should definitely come back in some form. Excited for the future of OSRS.

I love this!! NOOOWWW I think a storyline that needs to reach it's conclusion is The Fairytale series. We are left on a weird cliff hanger where the Fairy Queen is in hiding and for years I've been anticipating the fairies striking back.

I migrated to rs3 after osrs became stagnant in 2021 or so. I started playing osrs again about a month and a half ago after I saw how much was being added to the game. PLEASE keep going! what you've done so far is amazing. One thing I loved with ra3 was the storyline and that was always lacking with osrs. If what you're hyping turns out to be true I hope this gives you all the inspiration and opportunities you guys have needed with osrs for years
I think all of the quest released in the last couple of years have been pretty fun- I used to Hate doing quest because I pvp 90% of the time I play. I started to notice how fun the quest have been when I did "beneath cursed sands." Then "secrets of the North" was really fun as well. Very great job and excited to run this on release on my pure

The devs spit in our faces taking the only good reward away from the quest, which is meant to be a sequel to ANCIENT MAGICKS and you still act like it has anything worthwhile for it. RP would have actually added something to the game. Crummy mage gear and "new" rings (Just the frem rings again) that are just as guilty of "power creep" as RP woulda have been. They couldn't take the time to actually do the work, so they're just giving us nothing and you all slurp up the slop like good paypigs.
New rings o.o New axe o.o I must say, to compete with lightbearer, you may want to consider some accuracy on top of strength bonus. Currently I think Id just carry the new ring with my SGS for speccing, but that doesnt mean its useless, just that it doesnt make previous content useless.
It's great that content creators get to test the big updates. The Necromancy combat style in RS3 and this iconic quest sequel. I'd love to play this but haven't played OSRS. Too invested and interested in my RS3 game since I started in 2008.

I’m curious, could these 6 players who are reasonably wealthy on osrs that are testing the bosses then make investments on the GE because they will know what items will be needed for this quest? How do you combat this potential insider knowledge? Is there anything preventing them from talking about this and what checks are in place to ensure this? Thanks
8 people buying items for a quest has no affect on the market and they sign an NDA agreement. And no, these people have souls they’re not just gonna buy out the GE after play testing lol
This is great, hope this quest and the post quest activities hold secrets Secrets have always been a super hype thing about runescape... Remember the rumours back then about dusties dropping d chain? Nobody knowing where mauls, whips and metal boots came from? Those super cool ghostly robes? Here's a suggestion for a secret.... make a Zaros themed god cape (as good as the imbued/enhanced zammy/sara/guth capes).... would be a fun addition that could come with a mini quest. And rock the dark grey/purple scheme that has been present since the highwayman cape some brave adventurers back in the day got for standing and delivering Doesn't have to be a miniquest... an example is making new npcs from each boss's dungeon drop like fragments of the cape on like 1/250 drop rates and such, and then having to imbue it delivering the final hit on the bosses while having it equipped
Jagex should consider play testing with people who are not playing the game as the primary source of income. I’d love to see an in-game contest for an expenses-paid trip to Jagex HQ to playtest new content.
Solo missions next video is going to be him farming the new bosses for insane profits because he already knows how to defeat them all. I'm calling it here first folks!

You should look at the scope of the RS3 quests. That's the model for the new OSRS quests.

Secrets have always been a super hype thing about runescape... Remember the rumours back then about dusties dropping d chain? Nobody knowing where mauls, whips and metal boots came from? Those super cool ghostly robes?
Here's a suggestion for a secret.... make a Zaros themed god cape (as good as the imbued/enhanced zammy/sara/guth capes).... would be a fun addition that could come with a mini quest. And rock the dark grey/purple scheme that has been present since the highwayman cape some brave adventurers back in the day got for standing and delivering
Doesn't have to be a miniquest... an example is making new npcs from each boss's dungeon drop like fragments of the cape on like 1/250 drop rates and such, and then having to imbue it delivering the final hit on the bosses while having it equipped
Jagex should consider play testing with people who are not playing the game as the primary source of income. I’d love to see an in-game contest for an expenses-paid trip to Jagex HQ to playtest new content.

@@Forged4War206 no, because sailing would be a thing. I like the community get a say. Otherwise it's just another version of Rs3. without the Graphics, combat, pay - to - win. You, know? What I am trying to say is, OSRS was built off voters. But, I've been thinking. How many votes were botted, to get things in the game no one likes or to not have something nearly everyone likes? thoughts I have.
@@USAConservative Sailing is already going to be a thing. Reddit is a huge advocate for it too. Jagex is taking most of the feedback for the specifically from them, much like they do for a majority of content.

Ps - Cant wait for this content , all i ever wanted with oldschool was more bosses, with more unique mechanics.. without ruining the game with new spells and prayers (glad new prayers arent coming).. You guys hit the nail on the head with new raid TOA, so i know i wont be left dissapointed because pvm gets better, and better, every update. Keep it up with the good decisions team and we will stand behind you for many years to come!!

I'm sure the bosses will be quite enjoyable. Rewards from the bosses seem to be lacking in my opinion. Would love to hear more about the prayer book or possibly the heka pitched for toa?

we should get a poll thats says "should we remove all rune mining spots in game and strictly make it so it can only be bought, because 95% of rune is botted" maybe thats just how i feel, but mining rune rn is a waist of time
