LYRICS
Visionary, what made you leap
As I was letting go?
How could it be so easily
Courage from you flowed?
You saw in a cinder
Remnant of disaster
The promise of a brilliant star
You laid the shore my heart sang for
Through every broken wave
You lived in me rebelliously
You were where I was brave
Visionary, I see
What you were showing me
Miracle simply is your way

Tricking Hipsters into listening to Prog is truly god's work
I love how much Louis and Genevieve show up in each other's solo stuff
The best cameos in youtube's history
They are always making so much good music! I really like that
It makes sense since they're married
@@oxfordbambooshootify source?
@@FurNaxxYT his imagination?
Part of bein friends I reckon
It's as if Kate Bush was jamming with Motley Crue and Alan Holdsworth at Montreaux Jazz Festival 1975. Beautiful.
Produced by Alan Parsons and Todd Rundgren
Love it!!
and also Yes, man, there's definitely a little bit of Yes in here :)
Exactly , adding also Zappa
It’s Montreux… and my name is Mahoudeaux, so I know a bit where to put those A at the right place.
There's hope for humanity if there are people and musicians like these...
1:58 This bass synth solo is one of the coolest things I've ever heard.
It's so cool
yeah 100%, really hits hard melodically, so driving! kind of reminds me of kit watkins happy the man stuff. not a single freaking note wasted.
Chiquita Magic?
@@levinpugsley9256 yes it is :-)
I don't know that I've ever heard prog and dream pop blended so seamlessly. The disconnect between the dreamy music and the crass glam/hair metal visuals was fun for my brain.
I was about to say, if I watched this with the sound off I would expect the band to be making quite different music. Pretty awesome. Majorly messing with preconceived notions of music and fashion and stage presence.
I'm from Brazil and maybe ten days ago I never heard anything about Genevieve Artadi and Louis Cole. Suddenly YT recomends me those fantastic guys. Now I'm confuse about what I know about music.
Wait till the clowns show up.
This is outstanding. A perfect mix of late 70s Genesis and early 90s dream-pop. But even better.
EXACTLY i was thinking about Supper's Ready in Foxtrot!!!
I was thinking also national health ahah
@@seekyouoh damn ya totally National Health or even Hatfield & The North with those lush female vocal sections. Totally. Damn this track rules tho.
Sounds like Yes too
@@the.bloodless.one1312 Hell yea, HATN!!
feels like the spirit of _OG_ Missing Persons is *finally* resurrected❣ Making the Bozzios sneeze right now fr
Thank you for bringing back solos in music
Oh wow. Was not expecting the Holdsworth-esque guitar solo. Awesome!
This track may have been influenced by Allan Holdsworth's "Secrets" album especially the vocal tracks sung by Rowanne Mark
.. “esque” at best
this is also a Zappa-esque touch in the whole thing. Fantastic!
@@vidsforsquids Martinesque
I was caught off guard by the guitar solo as well. Not sure about Holdsworth, but some fast, linear, legato riffs for sure.
chiquita magic bass synth solo is the gnarliest part of this song!!
Some of the greatest musicals on earth that can't afford cable...😥
Mama Artadi done did it again 😭 this whole album is just…thank you for contribution to the world with this music ❤️
RIGHT!!! 😮👏🏾🍾👏🏾🍾👏🏾✨️⚡️
This is like, Genesis selling England by the Pound, Missing Persons, Alan Holdsworth and KNOWER synthpop all rolled up into a tasty little package.
Yes!
🤡
No not really.
It's way better

This is jazz prog pop fusion at its best...
Holy smokes amazing harmonies!
I'm so glad this is the first thing I heard in the mornning
🥰🥰
This is awesome! Congrats on your deal with Cherashore Records!
This is music from the 5th Dimension. I believe that musicians like Genevieve Artadi, Louis Cole and Nate Wood are a new breed of human.
I love people who loves Holdsworth, also the pad vox under solos are incredible!!!
Chiquita Magic blew me away with her synthesizers in this track! Wow!
@@aliensporebomb Everything blows here! Lous Cole sounds like Phil Collins in 1978.
Fantastic ! What a band of great laughing crazy beautiful musicians and friends !!!!!!!!
Pedro Martins' solo reminds of Holdsworth/Stuermer with Jean-Luc Ponty.
This is one of the collaborations of all time between Knower and Expensive Magnets.
I was about to go to a concert of Genieve Artadi but at the end I didn't go. Now I'm so sorry for not not having gone. They are great because they are creating something new, different, unique, surprising and powerful.
This outstandingly triggers my mind and my belly at the same time. And that totally unexpected guitar solo at the end made parts of my brain explode instantly. The master would have been proud.
Really enjoy this music.
I can't stop coming back to this song.
Very nice sounding. The mix is so soft! Looking forward to the album.
That was genevieve ❤️ knower fan for years, never heard your solo stuff. This is amazing!!!
The long-awaited return of Fusion New Wave (a la K's Choice and Suddenly Tammy) - awesome
Pedro in a blonde wig, playing a hair metal Jackson H/S/S into a Marshall, with Holdsworth licks coming out?
Genevieve, you got me again.
Gorgeous, killer, brilliant as always, G.
Holy smokes. That bass solo hit hard, and then before I had a chance to recover, in comes the guitar solo of the century thus far. I may have peed a little, either just before or just after I left my body and saw Tilda Swinton in the astral plane. (I know -- crazy shit, right? But it happened. This 100% happened to me.) It's amazing to me how this collaboration mixes a goofy vibe with humble virtuosity, and they can layer a melodic but wailing electric guitar on top of moody chord changes and airy vocals. Genevieve, Louis and all of the contributors to Knower music in general are such a breath of fresh air. Never change, you wacky geniuses.
Yes. Couldn't have said it better...
There's no bass solo here buddy. That's a synth
@@wysoft Wow, I sit in stunned disbelief. I cannot believe it took me this long to realize that the bass synth solo was indeed not actually a bass guitar but actually a synth. Thank you for expanding my musical knowledge.
That middle part of this track swam me to Atlantis.
Same I'm still there and it's cool rn but I have to work on Monday please help
Insane - really appreciate the production qualities on this. BIG LOVE for the 12 strings
Love the Holdsworth era of Genevieve's career!
Genevieve is fearless! Thats the impression i get. What talented people they attract.
Great mix of influences and ideas! Reminds me a little of Stewart-Gaskin (Hatfield and the North, etc.)
EYE KNOW....this is my FAVORITE OF ALL TIME, right now from them 🤲🏿🌬🤲🏿
It gives me joni mitchell x Jaco vybez....
3:39 GRVLND STARTS 😮
Beautiful harmony! As always. Thank you
I was touched by your mysterious majestic beautiful song!!!
great songwriting!!! great work!!!
Keep on your way....unique, sick, deep, dark, sooooo sweeeeet! Great musicians you all
Superb!
Video = Music = keys solo = pink guitar solo = extremely fresh.
Complete with the Marshall stacks, for the irony. Oh man, I love it! I've said it before and I'll repeat it. Genevieve is a better writer than even she thinks she is.
I can imagine how difficult it was for Louis to play that slow
When Louis Cole is not a out of control mad artistic freak, he goes the other way - into stoic mode putting in place immense self-discipline and control.
That guitar solo is the bomb.
Just love this - really uplifting, spiritual chord progressions!
Glad to hear young people making interesting alternative music. There is a hint of the British band Pram in your music, which I find absurdly cool.
love the way bass explores while vocals hold it down. such a cool way to build a song.
also this might not be the main influence but i hear starcraft 1. 90s kid learned music thru vgm, yes this is a compliment!!
Anybody else hearing an Alan Holdsworth influence? I love it.
I did after a few notes of the guitar solo
I'm hearing some genevieve artadi
Yes, I did.
in the changes for sure
Guitar solo. Unmistakable. And nice.
There is something in these outfits that goes with these chords... killing bass, solos & song!!
Okay, instant favorite. Love the harmonies, melody, singing and arrangement, what a great clip and awesome band, love the classic 80s L.A. Hair Metal vibe/homage/parody...complete w/ the signing of record deal at the end of the 'audition'. And lol @ 0:33 - Chiquita Magic gives her 'the hook', snatching her off stage: ''Go , bitch...' great keys and guitar solos too.
I’m very glad the interweb algorithm brought me here ♥️☮️🙏🏻💋
Sounds like late 70s prog, love it!
this is so beautiful. this song is prog-pop - it's absolutely thrilling. THANK YOU!!
Insane combination of songwriting+pop+jazz+progressive this song has everyhting I like to h
ear!
My, what grand talent they have! A fantastic masterpiece!
Fuck yeah, it's good
1:10 LMFAO.... Besides that, Awesome song!!
I need this to be a whole ass album. Astonishingly beautiful changes and epic aesthetics
Great song & performance! OMG, to be honest, Genevieve's appearance here is killing me.
If you weren't in love already you are now XD
I also shamelessly thrst for Genevieve
@@brandocalifornia3024 come gentlemen, let us shamelessly thirst for her together, as I believe it makes us stronger!
@@trblmkr5139 🤣
Absolute mind blowing! Genevieve is angelic and kick ass at the same time! The arrangement is so awesome! Hello I cant stop listening to this! Louis can play Holdsworth WTF, is he human? Peace from Detroit MI.
That's Pedro Martins on guitar, Louis Cole is on drums. But still no, I'm convinced he isn't human. Peace from ATL!
Pedro Martins on lead guitar.
oh this is NICE wtf why have i never heard of y'all before ?? it's so soft and experimental-sounding i'm only a minute in but i'm already in love w this
This song kicks ass! Can't wait to hear the album when it drops.
Sounds like Genesis and a bit of Yes; i like it
Great eclectic mix of influences. Hair metal look; pop rock electronica sound. Blondie, Bjork, Bowie but all Artadi.
I love your comment. It’s like Melodys Echo Chamber mixed with Yes and a dash of Rush.
@@caliburbeats9495 I thought you were going to say a dash of hash. LOL!
This is as if 70's Rush meets early 90's Lush and had babies then, who grew up 30 years later and were inspired by their "parents" with this video, and its' freakin' amazing!!
And ELP is their cousin.
one of the best Stevie Vai songs so far. Geil! 😎
want some beans ?
Somehow this song triggers a memory of when I was the happiest I've ever been, despite there being literally no connection. I'll take it!
Beautiful, thank you all! 🥰🥰🥰
How do you (Genevieve) know from a song if it's going to be a solo project or a Knower input? 😃
Good question - and some Louis solo has Genevieve involved. So what makes a Knower track a Knower track?
Louis mentioned that some of the tracks from his last solo album were ones that he liked but "didn't fit" with the newest (upcoming) Knower album. I bet Gen has some similar tracks. The new Knower was all recorded live with guests so I'm guessing more produced songs might have been the odd ones out for that setup.
I haven't even watched it yet, but I already liked it 🫠
I know it's a newer model, but that pink Jackson guitar reminds me a lot of their Jeff Beck models. Along with Martins's wonderfully brazen playing, makes it feel like a rapid-response tribute of sorts. I just love this song. It combines so many things I love in music in one piece.
Wow, what a dream team...
Smiling from start to finish!
Nice one, 'vieve
Such a gifted woman
Guitar solo reminds me of Allan Holdsworth in the Brufford band. Love it!!
mind blowing :)
Cool harmonic structure... I like it!
This reminds of me of the soundtrack of Secret of Mana for some reason, which makes absolute sense, cause it was also influenced by jazz fusion legends like Allan Holdsworth
I can listen to this all day !!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
2:48 the overloaded electrical socket ;-)
Congrats on the "RECORD DEAL"!!!!
Flying Lotus looking tired tho
Lesson I've learned: don't sing alone, be in a weird-long-haired-cucumber-leggings-fusion band!
Also, shred on a fuchsia guitar.
Everything gets better, given enough absurdity! It allows life to creep through our shells to express itself.
@@AndreasDelleske That is my new mantra
He is beginning to believe
Yeah, they really neglect to teach this in schools nowadays. It's probably why everything has gone to shit...
That put a smile on my face. This is awesome.
Thanks Gen.
YES!
Sent here by Matt Colville, and very grateful for it. Killer stuff! Already a big fan.
straight to my playlist !
Awesome track! This gives me some Gentle Giant vibes :D
F yeah! This had an 80’s Rush vibe to it.
Yes, but even more harmonically satisfying.
Ow man, you fall in love with this music. Listening it over and over again.
That synth solo was eargasm... FRFR!!
Thank You Genevieve, this is amazing ! You completely enchanted me with Your song ! There's no point in comparing it to anything else, this is an Original Artadi Masterpiece !
YES SYNTH3SIZERS ON BAR STOOLS FAVORITE MINOR DETAIL
FYI I came here from Bandcamp after hearing the one track released there. It's labelled as "Visionary" but it's a different song and hearing the lyrics it sounds like "Forever Forever". Sounds good too! - but you may want to correct that ;)
The guitar solo is simply incredible . Perfect.
Fusiongaze. Love it.
What an incredible song and hilarious video.
this song is deeeep 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Really “proggy”. Love that 😊
So beautiful
Genevieve is my president.
Geno STOP you’re killing me!
