Me and my dad went to visit minnesota and ice fish this year mid January. Awesome trip. But it wasnt snowy. Which was weird. But i was surprised that all the grass was brown. I dunno why that surprised me. I’m from washington. We get lots of freezing temps but our grass doesn’t die like that. Ours dies in the summer. It was kinda cool. Like there is no greenery at all. Like at all.
Cool video! I been thinking about a small Blackstone lol kind of sad ice fishing is coming to an end, the fish are still there,this just means we have to change out gear for the season , I Can’t wait to go throw flies in the driftless. I’m going to chase trout like a madman, this spring!!

Got 1.5 feet of completely solid clear ice here on the Duluth reservoirs. some couple cars on the lake, but mostly wheelers and side by sides
Amazing, I am in northern Illinois and we have all open water. Ice szn was maybe a week.

I’m getting out on roughly 9” of 50/50 good ice crappy ice over here in the kawartha highlands, Ont, Can. Some small town lakes. Some back wood lakes. If you ever in the area 😉 but ya thanx for a great little car man. It was nice to watch while I cleaned walleyes tonight. ✌️
