The Weller Brothers operated a series of shore whaling stations around New Zealand from 1831 to 1841. The shore whalers caught the whales and boiled down the oil, and put it in casks. The Weller ships made regular calls to bring supplies, and take away the oil and whalebone. Tonguing means stripping the blubber from the whale. If you come to the South Island of New Zealand you can still see the massive cast iron cauldrons which they used for boiling down the blubber. Great song - very well sung.

Poor 'Percussion Jared' had a boring part this time, but unfortunately, boring doesn't equal easy. Doing that repetitive sound for two and a half minutes while maintaining a steady beat is no small feat!
