Rub some polish onto the shoe, then rub the area with an ice block a little. It takes practice.

Using some wax on front of the shoes is also good..you can protect your shoes from water drops and moisture ..

Beckett Simonon is amazing. I got the Valencia Wholecuts, and wore them on a date this weekend for the first time. They felt and looked amazing. My date was definitely impressed 😁😁😁

shoes with rubber soles can be re-soled too! But they have to be glued instead of sewn on. Just ask your shoemaker. I have recently had my favorite pair of shoes, with rubber soles, re-soled. and it cost me only about 20 bucks. And they feel like a whole new pair of shoes.

Currently, I own two pairs of Dean Oxfords, one pair of Anders Split-Toe Derbies (black), and awaiting my second pair (brown). Absolutely, they are a great pair of shoes to own. If I ever need to have them re-soled again, I have a good shoe cobbler on dial who does a great job. FYI, to keep your shoes well protected, use storage shoeboxes.

I got my first leather shoes abroad when my cheap target canvas shoes blew apart. Even without proper care they lasted so long and so well! They aren’t shiny anymore and one is no longer waterproof, but still are so comfy and intact. I decided never to skimp on shoes again and just bought my second leather pair that I plan to invest care in. Thanks for the detailed video, I only knew of waterproofing wax in terms of upkeep before watching this!

Ace marks. Thursday boots. If basic shoes of good quality thurghogood isn’t bad like the post man. If you need a really durable boot try either the Belleville 390 troop (hot weather) or the 700 (gortex lined and waterproof. Good for cold weather but not unbearable in warm weather). Apply the water to your cloth if spit shining. Apply water to the leather if doing a second brush pass or buff rag.

one trick l learned about leather shoes was dont wear the same pair two days in a row.rotate your shoes so the leather has time to dry between wears.they will last longer that way and the odor that can build up in shoes that are worn every day will not be an issue. and also use Odenauf's .i use it on all my leather goods.

SO I've had shoes I would take care of them making them look new. And one person I know asked if they were new. I said NO the shoes are old. I said they are over 10. years old. I would clean the bottom so they are not dirty. I try and keep them clean but my favorite shoes or i should say all
the ones I had were good shoes. But they would come apart and they were drying out. some people have washed their shoes. I don't recommend that washing them. But I had white one's that just simply went bad. I guess when shoes get old they get old. They do sell shoe cleaner that I've
bought at the swap meet that seems to be good. But i guess when shoes get old they simply get old. IT's hard to find shoes I like. But when I do
they are expensive. But one was a pair of Boots that were over $800.00 Dollars. IT's not because they are expensive. IT's because I like them. I try
and don't do anything that will make them go bad. But I guess they are like our body that they start breaking down and fall apart. I have some
shoes that are black swede shoes you can't clean. The shoe cleaner said they would work on any shoes. But they made them look bad. SO I was
lucky I could return them and i got a new pair of shoes. These shoes they don't make them anymore. They are made by Oakley. sometimes they will make a sho and they look really cool. thanks for the video. that was helpful.

Sure. I try and take care of my shoes too make sure that they last. Some of my shoes looked really new. I would buy several pairs of the same shoes because you never know when they would NO Longer make them again. they can get to the point of getting dried out so I do my best to take care of them. I've seen them where they were coming apart from the stitching even though I took great care of them. They do sell good shoe cleaners at your local swap meets and they will ask you if they can clean your shoes. IT's to show you how clean they can get them. SO then they try and sell you a bottle. IT's not expensive. IT comes with a pretty nice brush so it's not harsh on your shoes. it is actually good on cleaning your carpet in your car, or SUV. IT doesn't make the car's carpet all goofy either. if you clean your shoes often they can look new and last longer.

Venetian shoe cream, saphir creams in appropriate color. Wax wise as a military vet Lincoln has always worked very well and saphir is great too! Chelsea leather food in clear or black will do a great job for working daily foot wear to keep them going. Still need polish on top of that though. If a work boot and darkening doesn’t matter Obenauf’s oil or LP.

Churches roofing Chicago tan, try out their beaute de cuir line first. You can get a can for around $8-9 dollars. I use it as a top coat because it has so much solvent in it it buffs amazing. The medal D’Or line is their top of the line and expensive at $22.00 for 100ml can. It is better but not worth the cost for work boots. You can buy the beaute de cuir line in bulk 250ml cans for $24.00 and that’s a good value. You can get Lincoln in a kilo can (2.2 pounds!) for 44-48 dollars. Was my go to for barracks shine parties

Hey, I just kicked you over in the like category to 1K. Congrats. I found a real good pair of shoes at an upscale thrift store. They need a little TLC--ergo, the bargin. Question, I am going crazy on how to sanitize and deodorize this great looking pair. Could you give some tips for those of us who like great shoes but can only afford the thrifting avenue. BTW I do take care of my shoes! !

    • @laner.845
      @laner.845 5 років тому +1

Jason Ong Ace Marks and Thursday Boots both carry sizes for women. The former has as low as about 6.5 in women’s (5 in men’s) but it is less selection the smaller you go. Thursday has a nice women’s section of good leather shoes and boots. Both sites have very reasonable prices for leather shoes.

I have a pair of Beckett Siminon Cohen Loafers in Tan. They are well made and it took 12 weeks for mine to be finished but worth the wait. They have a great color selection now than when I ordered. I will be getting another pair in the near future.

@@rudrakshsharma1937 mere se le lo bhai.. full grain leather shoes 1750 mein.. with 1 year warranty.. Agra is the biggest menufecturer of leather shoe in world.. main leather shoe 400 rupee se sell karna start karta hoon aur high quality 2000 tak jaati hai.. woodland ki 100% quality 1100 mein bas sole rubber ki jagah air mix hoga jo sport shoes mein hota hai light weight wala.. rubber sole se shoe heavy ho jaata hai aur 80% log woodland pahan kar hill area mein nahi jaate.. to rubber sole useless hai unke liye..
