The fact that Dave Mustaine is still writing music of THIS calibre - and in a genre that's been already explored like thrash - is maddeningly impressive.
Those solos and riffs were incredible. But did you detect some of the singing seemed to be to the tune of Black Friday (think "killer, intruder, homicidal man")... and towards the end one of the riffs was reminiscent of the one in Holy Wars just before (I think) "They killed my wife and my family". Nonetheless, this is exactly what you want from a Megadeth album. I say these things only because I find it interesting and like it somewhat when tracks have echoes of other things (eg. Marillions" The Great Escape " right at the end has a nod to a Genesis keyboard riff from an instrumental track on The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway album (my favourite album of all time)... the track being I think "Silent Sorrow in Empty Boats".)
@@WokeBegone also noticed the black Friday similarities and in another song he says rust in peace, think Dave was purposely trying to incorporate old symbolic, beloved Megadeth feelings.
The musicianship is great, yeah. This new lineup is one of the best they’ve ever had, but I disagree with it being impressive. The songwriting is so uninspired. This whole new album is very lacking in memorable songwriting and even lacks any good hooks, which all of Megadeth’s work has great sense of melody and great hooks. This is the best song on the album by a wide margin, and it’s not even that good of a Megadeth track
@@brabiz67 what do you expect? Thrash is fully threshed out. Theres no more to be discovered. Of course modern songs will sound uninspired from a modern lens. At least they're staying true to thrash
The only hate on them is internet gossip. The fact that Megadeth sells out arena's every show and continues too produce Top quality material says a lot about the Level of Musicianship involved. Dave has always been a target because of his somewhat narcissistic behavior and questionable work relationships though. It is what it is. Not all our celebrities and musicians are gonna be 100% Angels and in fact behind the curtains its a dog eat dog industry.
at least someone gets it lol I never understood how people can hate Megadeth for such childish reasons but yet there are plenty of bands that have that one guy that's problematic but yet they love those bands
I won't disagree, but I personally suspect Dave is still so but hurt about Mettalica that he has to this day not brought in [in my questionable opinion] a first class singer/vocal collaborator. Megadeath has had some decent vocals on vocal hooks, but Dave's singing and vocal writing to me lags way behind the instrumentals. If he had done so, they would have surpassed Metallica's early heyday - and maybe within 2 or 3 albums. As it stands, they are arguably only close at best. I also didn't like that we didn't get an encore when I went to see them. Basically zero interaction with the audience. Came. Stood on stage and played. Left. I'm not even sure they said high. Though I think we got a quick goodbye and wave. Was not much different than listening to their albums. Was a long time ago though. Kinda like he doesn't care about the fans. He doesn't have to, but surely not doing their reputation any favors.
@@methodsignature You are sadly brainwashed and/or indulged too much in the gossip narrative of the metallica/megadeth feud. "butthurt about metallica" You really believe that? you like that? Nevermind reality, nevermind what really goes on behind the scenes. Nevermind comments of Ron, Jason, James(cancel call) even Lars.
@@lemarcmty It's a hot take. Feel free to disagree and I don't give 2 shits enough to have been brainwashed. Maybe try dropping some justification against if you know its wrong. It's just the only explanation I can concoct in my head as to why he would have every other role filled by the best of the best except that one. Probably I pay too little attention, so take my opinion with the grain of salt it was seasoned with. Generally, I'm going by the music I spent various points over the last 30 years trying to like and the very little back story I heard while not looking for it. For example, I got Symphony on day one hoping for an amazing album and only really liked one song.
Megadeth literally kept their thrash element true to the game and have not veered out of their lane. I can listen to Megadeth over and over and never gets old.
No matter what happens, Rust in Peace, to me, will always be one of the greatest musical efforts of all time. It is without a doubt one of the greatest expositions of guitar playing, melody, phrasing, structure, lyrical content, and it works as one all the way through. It has everything you could want from an album, and every single track is a masterpiece.
All I know is there's a 60 year old dude spitting pure fire right now. 2 of the 3 of these first songs are face melters and do what they're supposed to do. Get your head banging. I love the sound of the last two albums and that fact that Dave isn't mellowing out. Long live Mustaine.
Facts,Blackman the universe gives that opening that make ya think a missile silo is gonna open up and show Dave hitting them riffs . definitely in the top 5😉
Megadeth deserves my love and respect. People talk without knowing, we'll never know why Dave acts the way he does, or how does he feel, but I can respect him for standing up for his own and working on his ideals.
Let's be honest out here...Megadeth is probably one of the most technical Thrash Metal band. But the fact that they can top the charts while being this much technical says definitely something about them. Name any other technical metal band that charted this high
@@corduroy3219 and clearly you haven't read my comment. I never said Megadeth is the most technical thrash band. But how many top 10 albums have Vektor got? Now ofcourse popularity doesn't equal good music, but the fact that Megadeth has been able to get such a huge fanbase by playing such intense music definitely isn't something many can do.
@@corduroy3219 I said one of the most, not the *most* technical thrash metal bands. And if you see their list of guitarists, you'd agree with me. There composition too, is not very simple. Their album Rust In Piece is filled with odd time signatures and mode changes
Megadeth has and will always be my favorite band of all time, I grew up listening to them, I heard Megadeth before the others and they was the band that got me into metal and no other metal band compares to them in my opinion. Rust in Peace is the best hands down.
I got into them when Endgame came out,… i remember being sick of the endless Asking Alexandria clones on MySpace and their one note chugging breakdowns. The riffs on endgame demolished what was trendy at the time. Look who’s still around? Trends come and go, but pouring your emotion and heart into music never goes out of style
Totally agree. I love many types of music and started listening to Metallica when Dave had just left (really love their work too), but Megadeth is just my favourite.
What hate? One of the most beloved heavy metal bands of all time and Dave Mustaine is universally acclaimed as a bona-fide musical genius. Most bands wish I was "hated" as Megadeth is.
@@mralexforbes ya I know. Metallica turned into a bunch of sissies but Dave never stopped being B-A Just my opinion. "You never made metal, metal made you"
I just want to point something out. As a huge Megadeth fan (since around '93) I love all of their albums INCLUDING Risk/Super Collider. Thing is, I love their sound. Both sonically and vocally. The fact that through their now (almost) 16 album discography I'm glad they have had periods/eras where they experimented with their sound and style. Sometimes I'm in the mood for some really awesome thrash so I'll put on RIP or Peace Sells. Maybe I'm in the mood for a more mid-tempo, metal vibe. I'll put on CTE/Youthanasia. Maybe a more pop sound but still undeniably Megadeth? Cryptic Writings/Risk. The point is, regardless of the record or era of Megadeth I'm listening to, each album has that very specific Deth sound to it that I love so much. It would be boring to have a massive catalogue of albums and each one sounds the same. Maybe there ARE people who would love 16 albums of RIP 2, 3, 4, etc. I personally would love a Youthanasia 2 but truthfully that will never happen. And honestly it shouldn't happen. We already have Youthanasia and I can listen to it as much as I want. (And I do). All I'm saying is, with 16 albums I'm glad Megadeth have a varied catalog of music that suits many different moods a person may be in and wants to listen to the band. I posted another comment on here with my top 3 Deth album so for the sake of those curious it is Youthanasia Dystopia Countdown to Extinction
@@Darkko88 yea not only that they sold out and they sucked ass. Black was the last great album they released load and reload sucks donkey dick and everything else was just awful
Rust in Piece, Countdown, Youthanasia for me. 3 flawless albums in a row over 6 years of straight killing it. I'm digging this new one a bunch, Kiko is a BEAST! Thanks for the video!
Doesn't matter if people love or hate Dave as a person. Megadeth has had a consistent feel since the beginning. I remember hearing peace sells in the 80's and have liked them ever since.
Doesn't matter? Realy? If Hetfield died tommorrow i would go into depression. If Mustaine died tommorrow i wouldn't even blink, and i love the guy's music. Saying basicaly "being a complete a$$hole in your life doesnt matter as long as you are realy good at something" is a realy sad way to look at the world dude.
Actually if Hetfield died (I don’t wish that upon anyone) I would say that is sad but if Dave was gone we would be really missing The Godfather of thrash. Metallica hasn’t had a good album since 1990. Dave has more talent in his pinky finger than James Lars and Kirk have in their entire bodies combined.
The World Needs A Hero is my favorite album and always overlooked. Al Petrelli and Jimmy Degrasso were my fave Guitar/drum team for the band . They tear it up on the “Rude Awakening” live album/Dvd. (I was there) ;)
I started my journey with Megadeth from reading Dave’s autobiography. I felt so bad for him that he was kicked out from metallica in that way. Dave was my hero and my friend for all good and taught times even tho I listened him only on my earphones. After all this years it is so so satisfying to watch how He finally get to the point where everyone is admiring his work and telling that metallica is no longer good. 40 years… and now we’re here 🤍 Dave is an example for us all.
Dave and Co just keep bringing it. This is just killer. Countdown and Rust were the zenith of their production and technical prowess, but my favorite for songs is So Far...So Good... A lot of personal stuff and passion in the writing there and it touched me at an early age.
07:30 that part is sick! we grew up with Megadeth:) Huge influence... and jupp, Rust in peace is one my my favorite albums of all time. One of the greatest metal songs ever written is on that album. Megadeths guitar riffing always sounds refreshing. `he got that old school agression` well said. I thought it was the end when Dave got sick, but he pulled it off...
So Far, So Good, So What? was always my favorite album growing up, along with their first album, but recently Rust in Peace and Youthanasia have been my favorites. Very drastic, but that’s personally what I’ve been really loving about that four year gap. Still the great four lineup too for both albums. The solos in Five Magics have been haunting me
Thank you Herman for presenting this , it was also my first time hearing it and I am absolutely blown away by how fast and how good the song was!! Absolute 🔥! My favorite Megadeth album is countdown to Extinction
This is such a good first single for an album. Just comes right out and melts your face, and then that tail-end of the song keeps bludgeoning you into submission🤣Absolutely love it.
Peace sells and Killing is my business for me. I love that the vocal on the new track is similar to Devils Island from Peace Sells. The structure of the track is interesting, Kiko killed it and yeah it's pretty good, very old-school Megadeth.
Totally agree! I recently fell in love with So Far So Good So What, my lord "In my Darkest Hour", "Hook In Mouth" and "Set The World Afire" will wake you up!
The new album sounds amazing, have always loved Megadeth, I get Dave can be hard to work with but he's one of the greatest metal musicians of all time.
For me, the first two albums are the best. Just love their rawness and combination of Daves anger plus Chris' and Gars rather unorthodox take on thrash metal
Can't pick a favorite, I love everything Megadeth. It would be like picking a favorite child. Every album that has ever come out has been stuck in my CD player for an extended time and was my favorite at the moment. I've been a huge fan since the 80's, and whenever I pop in a different album, it totally takes me back to that time in my life. I love them all! Dirk on the drums, oh man that guy is hammering it!
haha literally😂 i still have many megadeth cds (thirteen, youthanasia, rust in piece, countdown to extinction, and a 30 minute limited edition live cd)
I can't narrow down to one fav.......I just love so much of it. AND I listen to the message he sends thru his lyrics. I will say, I really dig Dystopia. Especially conquer or die! Killer Guitar work!
I remember when they released Countdown. My friends and I were getting into bands for the first time around then, and we'd pass around a riff of theirs here and there whenever learning something new from the album. Their sound is so unique and is so satisfying. It is so well thought out. I also grew up holding onto Countdown and Rust as their best, and loved So Far So Good.. as well. I never could understand why Metallica was so successful with only one decent album (And Justice), that being with bass added of course. Megadeth's writing just crushed everything they were compared to.
My favorites in order are: Rust in Peace, Countdown to Extinction, Youthanasia, Peace Sells, So Far So Good So What, Cryptic Writings, Dystopia, Endgame, Thirteen. And it sounds like The Sick The Dying The Dead is going to be on this list too! As far as albums like Killing is my Business, Risk, Supercollider, United Abominations, The System has Failed and The World Needs a Hero. Those albums were all good and some better than others but nothing on any of them made me go wow like the top ones on my list.
Yeah that was The World Needs a Hero. I actually meet that line up in 2001, it was a good meeting very different vibe than when I meet them in 1987. Opening for Alice Cooper back then. Crazy time back then but in 2001 was a mature and not so on the dope. Hero album was good but it sounded a little Preisty too me. Don’t get me wrong JP is the GOAT but I was hoping it would be as good as RIP.
Megadeth always kept headding North. I really love them for that. I started listening to them back in 1990 and still do to this day. My favourite album is Peace Sells, because that's where it started it all for me and it has that special place on the top shelf. Cheers, from Montréal, Canada
Man I love what you said about their consistency through the years. Megadeth evolved but stayed consistent and fans LOVE that.Favorite album, Peace Sells. I just wish the drumming was more inventive, less predictable.
Peace Sells gets my vote but only just from Countdown....BTW there's a line in We'll Be Back that is pretty similar to Black Friday's "I mangle their faces, till no features remain ". Megadeth are the kings of the metal riff and I've always loved Dave's slightly snarly vocals. Legends.
Good Mourning Black Friday is my favorite Megadeth song period, and second favorite might Five Magics (and not the damn remaster). I think Holy Wars would be up there in top 3 as well, if the intro section until the flamenco solo was the end of the song, so it felt more like a progression. Cause my issue is that when you start so strong and powerful, then you go slow, all the impact and power of those leads and such is lost. I'm pumped, and I often just skip through cause it's harder to transition from fast to slow than fast to slow (at least in my opinion) or even just staying fast (say Take No Prisoners; that song doesn't slow down until the very end, and it's interesting because if you cut out that end, the song is literally all verse and it's fucking sick).
RIP and CTE are my favorites as well. Tornado of Souls is one of my favorite but Ashes in Your Mouth has been my top favorite for many years. Love those hard complex rhythm and Marty's solos!
Even with the classic albums I didn't necessarily like them right away, it can take some time to grow on you. I absolutely hated youthanasia, now I don't. I can even find some room in my cold, withered heart for Risk. Also, Herman, if you see this your older videos with the donner guitar finally convinced me to go get one and start playing. I owe you a big thanks, it's giving me a better appreciation of the music I love.
Definitely loved Youthanasia! Came out when I was 13. Was already a huge fan (yeah, Rust In Peace was already a favorite) but I latched on to this album like crazy. Still have it in constant rotation but that is the case with almost all the Megadeth albums! Hahaha
Rust in peace is my favorite Megadeth album but I enjoyed almost every album. The only one I really could not get into was Super collider. I'm really looking forward to the new album man. Kiko is kicking all kinds of butt.
Rust in Peace, Count Down to Extinction and Dystopia I love, I never skip a tune when I listen to a megadeth album always something good. A tout la moude I think spelling is wrong but even that tune I love. Thankyou for a great video
Dad is awesome because he always has a guitar player in the band that is better than he is. I mean he as a guitarist is awesome. But as a band leader he actually checks his ego and brings someone with the sauce! Kiko, Marty, Chris…..just great. I do think Dave is the best thrash rhythm dude to ever live.
This new album really kicks some serious ass. Straight back to the glory days with this, it´s awesome. Peace Sells, Youthanasia, Rust In Piece and Countdown To Extinction, my four favorite Megadeths.
Peace Sells and Count Down are at the top of my list for Megadeth. But with that being said, I enjoy all their music. I can't think of one Megadeth song that I don't like. Just an all around great band.
I will go against the grain a bit, but for me Cryptic Writings is probably the album I've listened to the most. Though, undeniably Rust in Peace and Countdown to Extinction are masterpieces.
On spotify streaming stats, CW is actually 6th most popular Megadeth album , ahead of KIMB & SFSGSW. The top 5 is CTE, RIP, PS, Youthanasia & Dystopia. So CW actually still one of most listened Megadeth album till now.
It's not a bad album in spite of the fact that I could easily remove the first two songs. "Disintegrators" has the energy, "Mastermind" is sort of like Megadeth's version of "Cult of Personality", "Get Even" is pretty much Mustain's take on grunge and I found it to be dope. CW ain't Rust in Peace, but it is an album I like owning.
The reason I got into Megadeth was seeing the video for Wake Up Dead on a Saturday video music show on TV - I think it was called the Saturday Video Show or The Video Show. Anyway, loved that video (I seem to remember getting down on my back on the carpet air-guitaring to the impeccably repetitive riff) - but my favourite Megadeth album has and presumably will always be So Far... So Good... So What, for it's 5000% increase in Album cover design, production and song-writing. Just an incredible incendiary album with no filler.
I would say my personal favorite albums would be rust in Peace and the system has failed but listening to this new song really feels like this could make it in my top three might even over time go higher I don't know it has the production and like a perfected version of the older albums with a slight modern flair
I really don't think they deserve that much hate... I know Dave had an anger issue and kinna hard person to work with but just like Kiko said, once you understand what he wants and what he doesn't like, he's a cool person...
I really hate it when people say "Dave is an asshole..." and in itself, is a very assholish comment to make about somebody who has more talent than them and has done more for the Metal community than they ever will in their lives.
@@kiillabytez I love both Dave and Megadeth (seen them twice), but you don't have to be a metal god to point out if someone is an asshole or not. Dave had a rough childhood and all, but he was, indeed, an asshole in a lot of ocasions. I still respect him A LOT, tho.

I listened to R.I.P lol damn first time I realized the acronym!! Anyway I wore that tape out!! I was like 12 I think and just understood it! The meanings and could really understand what the guitars were doing. Just a couple years before I started playing!! Somehow I was able to play all the Hangar 18 solos!! I had the tab book it was rather inaccurate but it got ya close enough to figure out the rest. It’s easier playing the solos that are more feeling based than being very technical!! Friedman has some of the greatest legato runs . Odd time signatures and an incredible sense of melody. And one of the best vibratos in Metal Music!! So many great things to say about him!!
I’m so happy that they got James Lomenzo as their new bassist as the accuracy and power that he has is just amazing !! Also got a metronomic timing that’s sharper than a razor at times !! So Far So Good So What is sooo raw. It's hard to not talk about Hook in Mouth, Liar, Mary Jane, Set The World Afire, Into the Lungs of Hell, 502, In My Darkest Hour and a good cover of Anarchy in the UK that really gives you a perspective of Dave's Punk roots.
1. Rust in Peace 2. Peace Sells 3. So Far, So Good, So What 4. Dystopia 5. Countdown to Extinction (Listed in order of albums with the most songs I really like.) Megadeth sounds as tight and interesting as ever. Kiko can shred with the best of them, and he brings a great positive energy & tasteful leads. I look forward to hearing the new album.
Besides the first album "Killing..." which i traded, i dug everything. Marty Friedman for Rust In Peace. pretty good player ;) btw, saw the DragonForce on the thumb nail and said to myself, wait, Herman Li ? Happily, YES!!! Glad you're well ! Saw DragonForce once. I turned 50 in '07 and as a gift, a family member took us all to see Clapton (HP P). I thought it was great. My 16 year old son was bored half the time so as a 'make good', i took him to the WarField Theater to see He Is Legend, DF and KSE. I liked you guys the best. The 'old guy' from me bit was there for KSE, 'All this sounds the same'. He quietly sang with almost every song. another btw, the WT looked like a dump to me that night. Just there once before, George Thorogood and Roy Rogers, same family in the late '80s. Place was beautiful. It's been reno'd. Wonder how it is. Rock on !!!
Marty is pretty good... A slight understatement. Cacophony WERE Thrash. You should always wonder if Jason could have improved, no Becker, no Herman. Keep strong Jason, we remember.
Rust in Peace will always be my favorite, but I also really like Hidden Treasures! Go to Hell is one of the most obscure, and kick ass Megadeth songs of all time.
Diadems and 99 Ways to Die are my favorites. Though honestly, I prefer Diadems from their Warchest collection because that version has the bells at the end of the song which adds a cool element to the vocals/music.
I always loved the classic run of 3 with the classic lineup. Rust in Peace, Countdown to Extinction and Youthanasia. I think most classic metal bands have a solid run of three amazing albums. Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Overkill, Annihilator, Testament, the list goes on, there's a little run of perfect metal albums that are simply too hard to overlook. I mean you could swing it the other away and include So Far So Good So What and leave off Youthanasia, but either way you've gotta add Nick Menza and Marty Friedman in there somewhere. I get a great feeling that this current line up is gonna leave us with some magical music, I think this new run starts with Dystopia and let's see what the future holds. 🤘🤘
Was at Bloodstock this past weekend and when they announced Megadeth for 2023 there was a massive pop for them so they're still much loved and appreciated even with Ellefson gone. Also my favourite albums have to be *Peace Sells* and *So Far, So Good... So What!* , even with the messy production of that album makes the riffs even heavier.
Those single songs from movie soundtracks, Nativity in Black Sabbath cover and The Beavis and Butthead Experience were great! I loved it when Hidden Treasures came out with all of them on it. Diadems is another incredible song.
I love that tune. The main riff is so simple but so bad ass. But I always wonder how Dave could write something called Angry “again”. That implies there was a time he wasn’t angry😀

Peace Sells, Rust in Peace and Countdown are top 3 in no order. Ive been with Megadeth since day one, seen them 9 times have two Dave Mustaine signature guitars and the good ones. Megadeth delivers every time. End of story.
i met megadeth not so long ago and i saw them live kiko was so nice and they were amazing on stage and such a great setlist pretty much sang every song i will always love megadeth
Its really tough to say, cause I usually find myself listening to one album, and then another, but I'll tell you what, I have listened to Killing is my business many times, also Rust In Peace and of course Countdown To Extinction, I guess those are my favorites.
Kreator flopped hard during the 90s, Petrozza tried really hard to distance himself from thrash with albums like "Endorama", same with Destruction, Overkill, Testament, Anthrax.... the list is sooo long. Megadeth is at fault of some of that too ("Risk" is such an awful album), but at least they didn't go full "Pantera clone" like others band did.
...Peace Sells...But Who's Buyin'? and Rust In Peace....though So Far So Good So What was pretty interesting. When Nick hit the skins and Marty dropped in it was probably one of the best compositions since Gar and Chris Poland were in the band in My opinion.
Definitely Peace Sells and Sa Far So Good, but I also still enjoy their "softer" stuff like The World Needs a Hero. There's also a few great songs that can't be found on their main albums, like Breakpoint.
As a 46 year old adult, I can like two bands at the same time. It isn't a competition. And Dave is a better guitarist that James and Kirk. And I love Metallica
MegaDave is obnoxious, but Megadeth was always one of my favorite bands. I still consider Peace Sells, Holy Wars, and Wake Up Dead among my favorite metal songs.
Youthanasia is the album with Train of Consequences, as well as Reckoning Day, A Tout Le Mond, Blood of Heroes, Addicted to Chaos, yeah, you get it; that's probably my number one. I do love those classics like Peace Sells.... and So Far, So Good as well. Plus I have to give a big tip to Thirteen for the title track alone. FANTASTIC song.
Awesome video!! Thanks a lot Herman!

So true, he’s got “it”. Whatever it is. He’s a great artist, very creative. Glad Megadeth are still going strong in 2022.

@@lemarcmty It's a hot take. Feel free to disagree and I don't give 2 shits enough to have been brainwashed. Maybe try dropping some justification against if you know its wrong.
Wholeheartedly agree. Rust In Peace is the greatest metal album of all time, for me.
Dave’s never had any mediocre musicians. 100% metal no compromise.
well he did hired Kerry King once. But kerry being kerry was wise enough to leave megadeth before Dave himself throws him out the window.
All I know is there's a 60 year old dude spitting pure fire right now. 2 of the 3 of these first songs are face melters and do what they're supposed to do. Get your head banging. I love the sound of the last two albums and that fact that Dave isn't mellowing out. Long live Mustaine.

Let's be honest out here...Megadeth is probably one of the most technical Thrash Metal band. But the fact that they can top the charts while being this much technical says definitely something about them. Name any other technical metal band that charted this high

Megadeth has and will always be my favorite band of all time, I grew up listening to them, I heard Megadeth before the others and they was the band that got me into metal and no other metal band compares to them in my opinion. Rust in Peace is the best hands down.

Hell yes brother, same for me
What hate? One of the most beloved heavy metal bands of all time and Dave Mustaine is universally acclaimed as a bona-fide musical genius. Most bands wish I was "hated" as Megadeth is.
As a filthy casual, it seems that Megadeth is enjoying some sort of renaissance and resurgence in popularity lately...

@@JohnFromAccounting - Absolutely. Not super thrash, but the song writing is off the charts.
I posted another comment on here with my top 3 Deth album so for the sake of those curious it is
Youthanasia
Dystopia

The World Needs A Hero is really an excellent album 💿, I couldn’t agree more 😉
I started my journey with Megadeth from reading Dave’s autobiography.
My favorite is Peace Sells, but I do think SFSGSW is pretty underrated.
@@hamesparde9888 Yeah that album is definitely underrated
The solos in Five Magics have been haunting me
Can´t play those solos, but that song is first one from Megadeth i learned to play with guitar. Always loved that one.

Dystopia is a classic, must own if you're a Megadeth fan.
Sonically, vocally, lyrically it's completely on point.
A masterpiece.
DEFINATELY Countdown! Love your insights man!
Rooking forward to your critique of Metarrica.
Metallica was more accesible for general audiences.
Rust In Peace. Poison Was The Cure is insanely badass
Those albums were all good and some better than others but nothing on any of them made me go wow like the top ones on my list.
risk better than the system has failed?
I'm pumped, and I often just skip through cause it's harder to transition from fast to slow than fast to slow (at least in my opinion) or even just staying fast (say Take No Prisoners; that song doesn't slow down until the very end, and it's interesting because if you cut out that end, the song is literally all verse and it's fucking sick).
even the production on the new song is sick! sounds perfect
Risk is awesome!!
The best albums are Killing is My Business, Rust in Peace, and So Far, So Good, So What. Absolutely legendary musicianship and song writing.
Definitely loved Youthanasia! Came out when I was 13. Was already a huge fan (yeah, Rust In Peace was already a favorite) but I latched on to this album like crazy. Still have it in constant rotation but that is the case with almost all the Megadeth albums! Hahaha

It has the most heavy hooks and smooth solos. It is close to pop metal and that's why I like it. I like hooks. Great to sing along
Yeah I love every album, but I go back into cryptic writings all the time!
Can we get more reactions for the remaining Megadeth videos? I really liked hearing your perspective about the music.
I felt UA was a masterpiece
I really don't think they deserve that much hate... I know Dave had an anger issue and kinna hard person to work with but just like Kiko said, once you understand what he wants and what he doesn't like, he's a cool person...

I get a great feeling that this current line up is gonna leave us with some magical music, I think this new run starts with Dystopia and let's see what the future holds. 🤘🤘
Saw Megadeth in Austin last year. Going to see them again here in a month or so. Seen them 7-8x live.
Angry Again, not an album but the song was just incredibly designed.
@@demodick lol
Dude! That Lynch Serpent is Siiiiiicccckkk! Wanted one of them since high school!
MEGADETH has always remained one of my all-time Fav's. RUDE AWAKENING (Live) also includes many gems!
thats very great best masterpiece megadeth peace sells, so far so good so what, rust in peace, countdown to extinction, end game, dystopia & the sick the dying and the dead coming back classic album legendary of the world. love great best band favorite megadeth. thank you guys megadeth dave & kiko greatest playing guitar solo the true trash metal forever 🤘🎸
Herman: "I feel like Megadeth really is the metal band that kept going and kept thrash metal alive all these times."
Kreator: "Am I a joke to you?"
What about Exodus.
@@demonspree Exodus was esentially non-existent in the 90s.
Dave Mustaine has been through so much, and is still so sweet and genuine to his fans. Megadeth doesn't deserve the hate - but it's their loss anyway.
still so sweet? he is better now, but he used to be a raging asshole.
...Peace Sells...But Who's Buyin'? and Rust In Peace....though So Far So Good So What was pretty interesting.
Favorite album of theirs to this day is Countdown to Extinction. I wore that CD out when I was younger. Glad to see them still kicking ass.
