My theory Is if the company didn't add more ppl I think Tara would have been fine. At least that's what I think

Jiyeon's role in Dream High was perceived as her true self and was further pushed with the bullying scandal. Even years later, she and other members still get hate. It's childish how people act online and I hope that law idols are lobbying for gets pushed through.

The whole airport situation sounds like a ploy for her to have all eyes on her then her sister inserts herself to be part of the situation so her name can be mixed into it as well . If they left the group as it was before Hwayoung they would have been big , sometimes all it takes is one bad seed to destroy a garden
That is wrong. If Hwayoung wanted to be a big star and was not injured she would be on stage. At the airport she tried walking and found that it soon became too hard; if she was faking she wouldn't walk unaided at all. When Hyoyoung did something she would prefer to keep hidden from the public she was not trying to make a name for herself.

@@GD-mp3kz I support truth so I support Hwayoung, who is wrongly blamed for T-ara's troubles. She was just one of many people involved and didn't do much wrong. I think the initial cause of the trouble was the manager who accompanied her to the hospital and reported that she was fit for the concerts when he knew that she thought she wasn't. That created an expectation in the the group that Hwayoung was unable to meet.
Who was the "anonymous former staff member" who revealed stories about the twins after their appearance on Taxi? I think it is very likely that it was Kim Kwang Soo, the CEO of the company, that the leak was planned before the broadcast, and that the interview itself was designed to make Hwayoung cry and and create an opportunity to present her as a victim-player. I explain my full reasons for this in Chapter 10 of The True Story of the T-ara Bullying Scandal. Remember that KKS was convicted of making MBK employees cast nearly 90,000 fake votes for the company's trainees on Produce 101. That man should not be trusted.

Some conspiracies are real, and in this case the conspiracy theory is the the most likely explanation for all the strange features of the story. The account given by the "staff member" is very unconvincing for a number of reasons, as I explain in Chapter 10.
In 2018 Kim Kwang Soo said he was told that the doctor said Hwayoung could stand on stage.
_"At about 7 a.m., their manager called me to say that Hwayoung had sprained her ankle on stage the day before. They’d gone to several hospitals, but the X-rays showed that nothing was wrong. However, Hwayoung arrived at the airport in crutches. The hospital had said, ‘She’s okay and she can stand on stage without any problems’ but Hwayoung said she couldn’t walk. So I said let’s not put Hwayoung on stage and have the other members put on the concert without her.”_

Standing is not the same as dancing. No doctor would tell a patient who has come to hospital with a sprained ankle that she should dance on it if it is painful; that would be terrible advice and would leave him open to being sued if the patient makes the injury worse. The performer should not be made to take part if she feels unable to.
X-rays are good for seeing whether any bones are broken but not for detecting ligament damage, which is type of injury caused by sprains. My assessment of Hwayoung's injury, based on her actions and the treatment by the hospital in Japan is that it was probably a Grade 2 sprain, perhaps near the mild end of the Grade 2 range, which would have a recovery time of 4 weeks or more, meaning she would not be back to normal before late September. The rehearsal was on August 24th, the day after her accident, and the concerts were on the next two days. It is very unlikely that there was any possibility of her being fit for any of those.
KKS is a convicted fraudster and a proven liar, so anything he says must be treated with caution. When he fired Hwayoung he issued a press release that said she wanted to perform on stage but the staff and members advised her not to. We know that is not true; he said it to make T-ara seem more sympathetic when they were being accused of bullying (but not by Hwayoung).
_"Hwayoung's leg injury and her subsequent absence for the concert was for the protection of the star. Although she wanted to stand on stage, all the staff and T-ara members argued against her and she eventually took the stage only for her "Day by Day" performance, as per her wishes."_

You don't know what the doctor said - you only know what you were told the doctor said - and you don't know what the doctor was told either. Chapter 5 of my history of the scandal is about the injury and the disagreement over its severity. It includes this very interesting comment from a discussion of this point that illustrates how a little extra information can make a big difference to the advice that a doctor gives.

_I don't think anyone was lying. I think the same diagnosis can get different opinions, based on the people in the room and the context provided. For example, when I had leg surgery my doctor told me that I could go back to work in two weeks. But then I explained that my job is one with lots of international travel and standing, and she instantly changed her recommendation and told me I'd be out for 6 weeks. The thing that changed is that she'd thought I'd drive to a suburban office and sit at a desk 8 hours a day with my foot on a stool, when in fact even on non-travel days I'm walking about 3 miles through cities. Totally different recommendation, same injury._
_If Hwayoung went to a doctor with the management company, they may have presented a much less realistic story than reality - management is known to do that. In contrast, when she went with her father it's possible that she described her busiest possible day on the job (which, given the Japan travel, sounds likely). That would easily result in different doctors giving different recommendations._
No staff said anything until after the the hairdresser, Kim Woori, mentioned Hwayoung calling them "Shampoo." Clearly there was some animosity between her and some of the staff but we don't know how that developed. He said that his comments about it were edited to give a false impression by only including the parts that were damaging to Hwayoung.
It is interesting that the staff stayed silent at first. If they were partly responsible for the difficult relationship it would suit them to avoid scrutiny, and since Hwayoung said nothing about them on Taxi there was no point in trying to attack her. It was only after Kim Woori's comments brought Hwayoung heavy criticism that some of them added their own accusations.

I have posted a separate comment. I would be grateful if you would pin it so that everyone who looks at the comments will see it. Few people seem to have any real understanding of this story and a large proportion of comments are filled with myths, lies and hate.
KKS brought Hwayoung into T-ara and Hyoyoung into 5dolls because he needed money and their father is rich. KKS got a big loan and the twins got to be idols. He kept quite about what the twins did, because he owe'd the dad a lot of money, and he made the members and staff keep quite for the same reason.
Kwangsoo deserves a lot of credit for bringing T-ara to the top, but also much of the blame for letting them fall.
Do you have any evidence to support that or is it just a convenient rumour?
KKS put the twins in CCM groups because he wanted to, not because of an imaginary loan from their father. As we all know, Hwayoung originally wanted to be an actress, not an idol, but T-ara was the opportunity she was given.
KKS held back the story of the threat to prevent Hwayoung talking too much. When he fired her he told at least two lies, and probably more. Hwayoung responded by tweeting "Facts without truth" and KKS said he hoped she would keep quiet to avoid inflaming the issue further.

I think Pledis is just trash at managing their groups tbh, the only reason NU'EST is thriving is because of WannaOne and the promotion the group and Produce 101 gave them (not that I'm discrediting the group, they're very talented and I love them), and Seventeen do almost everything themselves and their fanbase is very loyal.
However, I'm not a fan of Pristin and I was never really a fan of After School, so I'm curious as to why someone would deem how the groups were mismanaged as a mystery or whatever. I know nothing really about any of the groups other than I know that a few members of After School left to persue other kinds of careers such as acting

What happened to t-ara should be a lesson to PR professionals and entertainment companies in korea. You must know when to respond or ignore rumors. You must also know when to sue people spreading malicious comments online. Your response can make or break a group. MBK learned it the hard way, if I'm not mistaken they never had a popular group after the incident.
So true, the spread of misinformation to people greatly affects a persons' reputation.

I'm not a fan of T-ARA, but I do respect the girls, and I'd never heard of this as I'm not a fan so I was curious. This is really terrible, I feel so horrible for the girls, what happened to them shouldn't have happened and their company should've managed the situation better. I don't really feel like I know everything so I don't want to blame anyone other than T-ARA's management team.

KKS fcked up when he handled most of MBK's artists and continued to fcked up more on DIA. Tbh, even though I am a fan of all of MBK's artists, they are all very talented. It was the mismanagement of the agency that broke most of their groups/artists. Glad that Davichi left, and later on, T-ara. Looking forward to DIA doing that as well, *IF* they are going to be together for so long like their sunbaes.

I think that’s what went wrong, usually in group conflicts. Things should be kept more private, i think social media just adds problems to these issue, think about if they didn’t post stuff and had a proper talk about it
I'm here in the US ..... I've been listening to K POP since 2000 or since AS ONE , BABY VOX , LEE JUNG HYUN .......since then there have been so many others . No matter what happened with T ARA I will always love them for the music that they have done . I with they would play more K POP over here 😊 😊 😊
