- In V Rising you obtain skills and abilities through killing and feeding on boss mobs (In V Rising this is known as "V Blood"). Some of the bosses are exceptionally difficult, and while the Ferocious Bear is is relatively low in level, it's actually rather tough. you kind of miss the most important part of bear. you kill him to get access to quincy for iron. that way you can skip clive until later and don't waste time and resources on explosives
I didn't know this at the time of recording, but yes - this is probably the most important reason for killing the bear
worked no issue for me add a copper crossbow to the mix for the added damage and its easy thanks for the tip :)
My guy, after attempting 6-7 times to go against this dude, and not even getting him 2/3rd down... Your video is a life saver, so so unbelievably easy to the point where it honestly might need to be patched out :'D

Worked perfect for me, thanks for the tip. I didnt have chaos dash yet, but blood dash did the same thing with distance+decoy+heal on next hit. Did it with rogue blood and a crossbow, chaos and blood projectiles
Thanks for the ramp tip my dude :) Beat him first try this way. Instead of 2 dps basic abilities, I used Crimson Aegis to shield myself, and ofc Chaos Volley for some good damage. Also when you're about to jump down, fire your Rain of Bolts from your xbow. The bear will just stand there and watch you jump down, while he eats all the projectiles. When you run back up to the ramp fire Chaos Volley while walking backwards. If you fuck up use Crimson Aegis to shield yourself. GL soloing this one

My man, went from ripping my hair out to a super easy fight. you absolute legend
The bear does seem to reset randomly. The only way I found out to make that not happen is to make sure the bear gets really close to you before you jump off the cliff. Then just get back to that ramp as fast as possible so you stay as close to the bear at all times. I think sometimes you just end up too far away from you and then he resets. Took me a few tries with this method, but it's a hell of a lot easier than fighting him on even ground. Thanks for the video!
Yeh you've pretty much hit the nail on the head. There's a point at the top platform that he resets and sometimes if he charges at you up the ramp hell hit that reset point. But tbh I just get chaos burn on him while he's resetting and he comes right back at me

@@plsdontbanmeagainyoulibtards Even if she loses aggro, fire spells at her as she's retreating and go a bit closer to her. When she's back in her original position she'll reaggro without healing.

My hero, i really needed this, i thought by using several long distance abilities, Id be able to make it + Im lvl41 and I fell like i was in a stuck. Ive been making use of the bloodmoon to use that one boost and even camp if necessary, but still, this one was inside a cave and should be ''easier''

I was 37 had 85% rogue blood, blood moon, frost bolt, blood teleport and the other aoe one and he TROUNCED me a couple times. Cooldowns just couldn't keep up with his aggressiveness.
Blood Moon was over at I was on rat blood but wanted to try something after noticing the ramp at the back and used essentially the same strat except I had Xbow, chaos teleport, chaos bolt, and the blood shield (super useful for oh shit moments) Only took me three 2 or three ramp jumps to power him down. Almost felt a bit OP.
You can also pop a quick heal pot right after you jump down.
Also this was the first time I noticed that the chaos teleport clones act as temporary targets! Such a valuable skill.
Kept resetting going up the ramp to the left so i just jumped around the ramp slight up to the right bottom bit. Worked well never reset.

Idk I don’t think it’s viable anymore. It resets every time he gets down to half way he will run right back to his starting point. He chases me up to the top as soon as I leap down he runs past me to the start.
Every time someone says that this isn't possible I feel somewhat obligated to test this and event time I test it I have no problem in executing the strategy. Maybe Ive not explained it properly and I mean no disrespect whan I say: you're not doing it right.
still works. just did it first try. if you hug the edge of the cliff after jumping down, you shouldn't have an issue with him resetting
Nope, just did it last night before even watching this vid. Just maintain your distance to him and maybe jump a bit closer to the ramp.

Thank you brochacho!!! I was finally able to get this jerk face, for the people that comment it doesn’t work it does, you need to wait till the bear is right behind you at the ledge, and then jump off and run around so your ready to dash dmg him with the clones and then reapply the chaos volleys, I also used the cross bow, I’d paint the ledge with the aoe bow skill right before jumping down.

I've not explored it too much but the one in the bear cave up the ramp just seems to lead to literally nowhere lol
Strange, for me it resets every time that I make the jump instead of trying to get down the steps....
Nevermind actually, it took a couple of resets but it started keeping its health the same after a bit, so thanks for the vid!
Keep trying, it did first 3-4 times for me as well, then i got him down
has this been patched? ive tried it a bunch but he just keeps resetting back to center of room with full HP....i cantfigure out why it works for you but not me.

I've tried this at least 10x and EVERYTIME he resets.. he is WAY too fast to fight straight up.. I feel like I'm constantly waiting for my dash.. ugh..

Bullshit, this was my first Idea, because the cave crys for this tactic. I was smilng all over my face thinking, perhaps it could take a while, but... im now 39 and tried every combination of movement skill and weapon. Two fail states 1) bear resets and often enough its imune dmg so it heals fully up (sometimes you can force him back on track) 2) bear glitches down an stands next beside you roooaryng: "suck my dirty paws" perhaps defs changed something

Don't know how many times I got this stupid thing down to fraction of health, takes two steps away and restarts the fight at full. This doesn't work.

@@BlackoutGamingChannel The bear did exactly what I'm talking about at the start of your fight in this video. Only instead of at the beginning, picture it happening at the end of the fight, then boom, full health. You even commented on it my guy, "He's restarting".

Woulda worked for me except the buggy-ass controls movement that wouldn't let me jump at the necessary time, f'in p.o.s (and don't even get me started on the $hit camera controls)

Still works it reset like a couple times at start but eventually I learned a pattern n he never reset after still actively works atm. Also I did this solo on a USC pvp official server! Good luck everyone was simple n done in 5 mins.

@@Gaston-08 that's so weird because I've done it several times including today. It shouldn't make any difference but are you on PvE or PvP? What spells are you using?
@@BlackoutGamingChannel it is happening for me too, I'm playing solo in PvE. Maybe it's a PVP server thing with aggro. I'm using chaos skills and everything but no matter how much I try to keep the burn on him when he's running back the cooldowns are too long and I'm too slow to keep up, eventually he runs back to his spot and starts healing faster than I can get him down with my current gear. I'm just gonna have to go get other stuff done and come back to him later.

He keeps resetting
He will reset if he goes to a certain point on the top. If you keep him close to you at the corner he'll never reset
Such a poorly designed boss that it needs to be cheesed to be defeated. You know you failed at desinging an enemy if players have to exploit to defeat it.

He's not poorly designed, he's just pretty tough for his level. You don't NEED to do the ramp trick if you have the proper skills and gear, he just need a bit more min/maxing to get him down. Pretty sure they actually put the ramp in there for this specific purpose.
I tried this Veil of Illusion, Crimson Aegis and Blood Rite and I could get him to 35% max. This guy is just a straight dps check. Will come back later to see if your cheese works.

I can't keep him from resetting
Maybe try keeping the chaos burn on him while he's walking back and that might keep the damage. Could be that he's charging out of his tether range and that's causing it. Maybe keep him closer to you on the ramp and hug the edge more if you can so that a charge doesn't take him out of the cave if that makes sense
same. SUPER frustrating, I gave up after 4 deaths and running back takes forever even with the waygate to the north

@@BlackoutGamingChannel not for me, but i managed to beat him anyways ... after rage quitting several times ... on the flip side, now every other boss encountered feels easy in comparison.

@@BlackoutGamingChannel would love to tell you why, but my best guess was that when jumping down the character was too far away from the bear. Other than that, idk. Also he doesn't reset every time, but rather randomly.

The more I play on a pve server the more frustrated I become not being able to kill or destroy the things that annoy me
Or you can just fight it normally and solo it with lvl 27 and a reinforced bow, shit's easy cmon took me 3 or 4 tries. Counter ability, this video's R ( dont remember name ) and blood dash
