I’ve watched a handful of V Rising videos and started playing myself. I wish I could give you more than one thumbs up for this video. Also, the commenters on this video are more than amazing. Instant sub.
Extra tip I've found out by accident about the studies. If you are a member of a clan, you can visit your friends' castles, interact with their studies and click the yellow bordered recipces, and they become yours too, without spending 50 paper torandomly discover them yourself.
I have a tip for those that are setting up a second castle in different areas of the map. Once you have your castle teleport you can use it while mounted on a horse and the horse will teleport with you. This should save some time running back and forth.
If you're wondering where to get filled water bottles, you can carry empty ones to a water source and once you're close enough you can left click the bottles to fill them.
I have two horses in my castle, but I find myself just using the wolf mode most of the time. I know horses are faster, but the wolf is fast enough and it's way more convenient. I only take a horse out if I'm looking for people to bring back.
My castle heart is literally where yours is on my server lol. As a result of switching servers later I had almost nowhere to build and plopped it there even though other people built around me. I already knew the information in the video but these are definitely helpful tips, nice work!
Thank you for this. Just got the game yesterday and have been grinding on a duo PvP server while I am solo. Still looking for a group or duo partner to play with but even tho I am solo, the game is great. Local Voice chat works really well and makes it easy to talk to other players and the game is still fun solo. I've been trying to make sure the community doesn't turn toxic like the Rust community lol. There's a lot more incentive to work together for bosses and stuff so I hope it doesn't turn toxic like Rust lol
Yea I haven't tried pvp yet because I heard there's offline raiding and immediately assumed this will turn into a griefing shit show like rust. I like the idea of having to defend your base but I think a mechanic like EVE has is the best compromise. Someone triggers a 24 hour timer to make your base vulnerable for a specific window of time. That gives you time to defend and not have to be on 24 7 to save from offline raiding.
Yeah 100% I am solo on a 4 player PvP server but have some friends on the server in their own groups so we have been helping each other out which has been great! Hope the video helps!
@@jeffbrownme2 most servers have specific raid hours, so you don't have to worry about being offlined at 3am. The one pvp server I'm on only has raid hours from 5pm-11pm. Another one is 8-11pm. Find one that fits your schedule if you want to try pvp!
You can use waygates while riding a horse! It makes life so much easier, and suddenly I didnt have 15 horses around my castle because I'd only use them to get home.,
As good as horses are, I rarely ever use mine. The wonky control scheme usually causes me more trouble than their worth if caught in the sun or ambushed.
@@Rodelero I've tried it. My horse manages to get stuck on trees, walls or other environmental elements and I get killed. If it worked like the wolf or other animal shapes, it'd be much better.
@@NotaVampyre111 Yeah, no idea why they went with a different control scheme for the horse. It's pretty awful, and I only really use them to get back to my castle quickly if I have a charmed follower. I never bother to keep horses. I just steal one as needed.
@@arthurdent9281 That's pretty much what I do as well. Teleport close to my target area. Raid it, grab a peasant and a horse and scamper home. I am playing solo with standard rules. I just got iron so I'm in the process of upgra5everything. I am looking forward to getting my servants kitted out well enough to bring me a steady supply of iron.
For bosses I would not recommend teaming up. Since the bosses scale with the number of players, doing that might cause hardships for the better of the two players. What i would recommend is having the best player 1v1 the boss and just stepping in when it is about to die to burst it down or when that person fighting it is about to die as to prevent a reset. Other than that, try not to team up with people that cannot handle a boss themselves.
yeah you are not wrong, they do scale so if you can 1v1 them that is always best and doesn't cause crossfire to people helping lol but some of these are very beefy and I found easier with 2 or 3 people - everyone will have their own methods though!
Amazing video. Thank you. Just one question. Do I have to go to coffin EVERY TIME I want to log off? Sometimes I just need to log off quickly, but I don't want to die. Note:I play alone on my personal server.
You can log off anywhere. However, it’s safer to log off at your base and also if you’ve achieved having a roof over your base. If you log off anywhere in the world in open territory , you could log onto game when it’s daylight and get sunburned to death on login if your standing in wrong area. Logging off at home or log off while in your coffin is the safest of them all. When you log back in you’ll still be in your coffin and that’s safe even if you don’t yet have a roof over your castle.
I haven't seen a stable building yet, could probably design something similar with decorations and fences though but you can get a well and fill up canteens/ vials which is pretty cool! Would love to see a stable added as a building though for sure!
Eyup Invin, I still have my roofless wooden enclosure and at the point I need to build my first stone castle room.. Can Stone rooms join onto wooden ones or do they need to be their own enclosure? Can you link both types in any way?
I totally get this and tbh this is why I didn't post videos initially because I wanted to make sure it was actually good and not just hype. This game already have an abundance of content and feels polished so by all means feel free to wait but it wouldn't be a bad one to try now if you wanted to as well!
The game is early release yes, but it’s damn polished and stable for an early release with an ass ton of content already. It’s already more polished and stable than many AAA games at their release. However, it’s your choice if you choice to wait. All I can say and many will agree is that’s it a whole lot of fun and so much stuff you can do for just $20!

Is there a stable and water trough for horses? If not that would be a great add for castles to keep your horse alive and fill up canteens.

It’s probably the most polished early access game ever released. The game is insanely good.
It’s worth it to get in early if you’re interested in playing. It’s already a very well polished game in it’s current state and it’s only $20.
