I love how you prefer quality time with your children to household chores. Children don't love their mother because she always washes the dishes so beautifully, but because she plays with them in the garden, for example, or cuddles with them and reads books. Sometimes the housework has to wait and there is a certain comfort and self-determination in deciding to do the housework later. I really liked the clips, but I think a voice over from you would be nicer than listening to music and stopping and reading in between. By the way, your pony looks good and you look very happy overall. Thanks for sharing this video. ☺️
That was inspiring! Our little is 3 and is so ready for school so would just love to organically incorporate some gentle homeschooling in there before he heads off to Montessori next fall ❤️💕💕
I love this content! You were and are a writer, educator, compassionate human and you are incorporating all that into your motherhood WHILE protecting your children's privacy. Honestly this home/life education content from you is stuffed pay for
Honestly such lovely clips of time spent with your children. Thank you for sharing in a way that works for you within your boundaries while still honoring your time with them, such a cool way for me as a fellow mom to see how precious our time with our littles truly is!
Nice, honest, relaxing video.... Homeschooling is not widespread in our country. We don't have any curricula available. I don't even know if I would have the patience for that. And I'm quite happy with our school system. Children spend a lot of time in nature, they have many free creative activities, the food at school is affordable and of good quality (the state monitors the quality of food), etc. Your video made me proud, because I do most of the things you showed with my children, even though I'm working full time. And reminded me that I am often too demanding of myself. Thank you.
Omg! I’ve watched you since probably 2017ish, my 1st was born 12/2020, my 2nd 05/2024, and it’s just been so crazy to go through all the same parenting stages with you! We also just started officially homeschooling😊 some of these are genuinely such good tips!! Definitely gonna have letters of the week now🥰 thank you for being you❤️
You may not want to use videos, but my daughter really took to The Letter Factory. Teaches sounds along with the letters and she absorbed it well pretty young. But no need for that of course, these are great, creative ways to teach!
Hey Hannah! Three things you may not know about your winter squash. First, the fingernail trick: if your fingernail sinks in or leaves a slight impression on the skin, the squash can go on the vine for a bit longer. Once your fingernail doesn't sink in, its ready! Two, if you have alot of squash one year and want to harden them off for storage, store them in a warm, dry place in indirect sunlight for a week or two and they will hold up to 6 months. Three, the longer it sits, the sweeter it gets. We typically use ours around the house as decor, and eat them later in the winter. Four, eat any damaged or imperfect ones first (fall) and then the well preserved ones in winter. Enjoy!
I love our library! My son got to take a free 10 week chess class and is loving it. I like that these videos are chill and beautiful and always has yummy looking food 🍅🌶️🍞🥗🍆
amazing, I have been a Waldorf School EC teacher for 25 plus years, I admire you. Had a thought as a foodie woman, when doing "a" how about allspice, alum, anise, but I think aleppo pepper would be to much lol
Try growing JS delicata from Johnnys seeds. It is a bush variety. We grow it for market (we’re a small market garden/farm, growing on an acre so we try to stay away from vining plants as much as possible (bc of room). We break our rules with sweet potatoes though! 😅
May I request a homeschooling Q&A page on your website (someday when you’re able)?? It’s be great to have all your suggestions in one place since you’re just starting out with it all bc I assume the awesome suggestions will keep coming over time!
I got my son a puzzle of the unitedstates each state with capitol and at 2 he knew every capitol of every state and ehere the state went on the puzzel it was wood so yeah it was a good one.
@@indy2316 my son was born in 1984 I just would say the state and capitol and put the puzzle piece in place he memorized each state and its capitol and where it went on the map puzzel I could then ask him whats the capitol of California hed say Sacremrnto he knew all the state capitols from doing the puzzle .He learned education at school from teachers. Me I quit in 8 th grade to skateboard and surf. So I dont care about my spelling.
@@indy2316 look fool parents know how to educate thier children and there is testing put in place to insure the child can pass to next grade level if they fail one year and do not advance next years testing they have to put them in school or hire a teacher. So dont be minding other peoples business
Not trying to be negative but just wanted to acknowledge that being financially able to have one parent at home to home school is privileged, not everyone can afford to do that, even if they want to

This, I tell anyone who will listen to get these videos, this and the talking word factory. My son was independently reading by 4, it's a great video!
Lovely vlog as usual! Your children are so lucky to have you. You’re killing this whole Mom thing, Hannah 🙌🏽🤣

Lovely video. Is the lentil Dahl recipe in your ebook?
Singing in the rain reference! Love it!
I love the quality of education given in homeschooling verses a traditional classroom setting.

We've been following a different preschool curriculum for our kiddos. It sounds like it follows a similar structure with a letter per week.

Does your child learn to spell from you?

@@leannecuster1490 I'm just pointing out the dangers of relying solely on parents to educate kids.

Also My kid went to public school I was talking about the good puzzles do when kids play with them you just want to attack homeschooling shame on you.

Good thing you are not trying to be negative. Imagine if you were actually trying.
