Having an 8ft ceiling helps me not to stand up or extend during my swing. I'm able to stay hunched and compressed and has helped my swing along. That fear of scraping the roof is a good motivator!
Try so much for saying this I'm 6' and I just got mine all set up. So disappointed I couldn't use garage thus only having room with 8' ceiling. Happened to break my driver last week. But figured I couldn't use it. Realized I seemed to have room for 3 wood but it messed with me mentally. I'm away with work be back on 20th can't wait to finally use it and knowing I have the space. Really bummed me out everyone saying u need at least 8.5 to 10 ft
I built one and used acoustic 4' x 2' x 1" tiles. At 6'3" I hit the 8' ceiling from time to time (technically its lower b/c of the pad, but the reality is, they are cheap and replacing them is easy.
thats a good idea. i have been trying to find the best solution for padding the ceiling. currently i have packing foam around the trusses for protection and that works pretty well too
most of it came out when i had a kid play in the garage and he had what i would call an “unconventional swing” which promptly removed parts of the ceiling 😂
my basement ceiling is actually 8.7 ft and I am about the same size then you. I need to test it out. The pro is that the basement has an unfinished ceiling what gives me about another 1ft in-between the studs
@@golfdynasty AG is nice but GSPro software is the best. Your channel just came up as a suggestion. If you haven’t purchased GSPro I’d for sure recommend you try
@@golfdynasty thanks for the information, I was thinking about getting the rapsodo mlm 2pro , but I wasn’t sure if it requires a taller ceiling as my ceiling is just under 8 feet
thats right. the only time i have an issue with irons coming close to hitting the ceiling is when i unintentionally exaggerate my swing motion upwards but thats rare
if you are really worried about your ceiling i would recommend installing a piece of frp so even if you hit the ceiling it will glance off. i havent tried doing that myself because i dont really need it but will install it sometime in the future

How easy or costly is it to convert the trusells to scissor ones?
Really good video. Thanks for taking the time to produce it.
thanks for the support
That's a tight squeeze. Nice video!
Hi! What are the dimentions of your hole? I can do a maximum of 24"x24", think its enough if placed right?

Your driver is over 6’ long?
Did you cut the ceiling board out with a spoon

having the unfinished ceiling definitely helps. if you space it out so your driver ends up between the joists you should be able to play comfortably
Not me, im 6'7". I hit the 10 foot ceiling with a driver at a PXG fitting
i guess thats the one side to being that tall 😂
I have basement setup with 8 foot ceilings. 6 foot 1 setup here. Sucks but it is what it is.
that’s respectable. do you swing your driver? also are the joists exposed?
47" long not 74" long 😂 (you read the tape upside down)
yea i caught that after editing the whole video and wasn’t about to back to retake that 🤦♂️
Where were you at with the About Golf simulator?

Irons must never come close to the ceiling then.

@golfdynasty awesome. I have downsized and have been wanting to set my mevo+ back up but have been hesitant to do so.

1:47… 74” club means you’re a giant. There’s no way you have a 8’ ceiling 😂
My basement is 8.5 feet and I'm 5'9" so I think I'll be good
yea 8.5’ is a pretty good height especially if thats to the bottom of the floor joists
Your back hand grip is way way too far open (Strong)
nick, very true - i found out about my wrong grip a few months ago
