- After losing her sister to heart related complications, Shemeka Campbell, 34, was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, requiring an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), which ultimately saved her life.

My doctor never suggested an ICD and I’m in congestive heart failure the beginnings of it. That’s upsetting that he didn’t even suggest anything to help me. He didn’t even change my blood pressure medication. He just said I’m in congestive heart failure and we’ll just keep monitoring you he told me my blood pressure medication that I’m currently taking is not good for somebody in congestive heart failure but yet he refused to change it. I’m not getting it. I think I need to see another cardiologist, thanks Loma Linda University Medical Center ughh.

Too many doctors don't fully recognize or understand heart failure. I wish my wife's doctors had known what they should have been doing. She's dead now and I'll never have her back.

I'm currently 43yo (male). Had and have a more then terrible experience in diagnosis as well. Over here -the Netherlands - our medical system is just lacking proactivity. Months are passing by and I still suffer from heavy complaints. Still suspect I have hèart failure with preserved ejection fraction. But the doctors just dont seem to listen to me. Their ego's and bias are very frustrating 😑
@@crashtestdrummie-nl6411 People everywhere have to learn to advocate for best treatment. Too often we simply allow the "ëxperts" to make important decisions for us. We need to be involved in making decisions which affect us.
@@crashtestdrummie-nl6411 please follow a strict plant based diet with raw meals and some cooked meals. Low sodium, herbes, smoothies fresh salads will be your best friend . I’m healing my father now and we’re reversing everything . There is healing in foods and herbs grown strictly from the earth. Avoid seed oils and oils . Avocado oils , grapeseed oils etc. get rest and go for walks. Praying that you recover.
So happy for you that they found this at a young age. I’m 60 years old and just started congestive heart failure. Very happy that you excepted the implant to help you. God bless you.

Im 39 and was just diagnosed last month with CHF and an EF of 15%
I was diagnosed with chf and the same EF as you Tyson 2 years ago. I was going strong but went back to my nasty eating habits and started feeling some symptoms again so I stop everything and started eating healthy again. This time I'm sticking to it. Life is more important than junk food. Every once in awhile you can treat yourself but not everyday. God bless you. I hope you head towards a full recovery and get on with your life. Never give up. 🙂👍

My son is 9 he was diagnosed end of 2019. His EF is 17%. He gets severe chest pain at the heart site. Do you guys get this? Its so painful he stops everything. I hope you all get better.
I’m so scared. I haven’t been diagnosed yet but I have to see a cardiologist next week. My heart rate was 127 and urgent care rushed me to the ER.

I have high blood pressure too when my bp rise my heart beat also become fast over 100 .. I don't know what to do.. My doctor after echo cardiogram test says my heart is functioning normal..

She sound like she was having arrhythmia or panic attacks... thats exactly what they do to a person and heart rate can go to almost 140..
