Exeggutor deck I’ve been running with fairly positive results so far (even against the top 5 decks): 2 og Exeggcute 1 og Exeggutor 1 new Exeggutor 2 Exeggutor EX 1 og Tauros 2 Erika 2 Sabrina 2 Giovanni 2 Professor’s Research 2 Pokeball 2 Potion 1 X Speed
I think that's the point of Exeggutor in the deck. It's an attacking meat shield that's relatively easy to get online while you're setting up for a late game attacker.
I suggest ditching the Serperior line altogether. I've been playing with just a Mew ex, 2 Exeggutor ex and 2 Celebi ex and a bunch of trainers and the deck felt a ton more consistent. Serperior is strong, but its effect is kind of overkill and it occupies a ton of deckslots that can be used to play utility cards that actually give you a ton of flexibity. In particular, 2 Erika, 2 Potions and 2 Sabrina felt really strong for me
I made this deck organically when celebi first game out, and it was not the move. Like you said, it had too many goals and too many things I needed to draw to be successful.
I'd rather have full metal lines than just evolutions, and as much as I want Aggron or Aegislash, I think having a metal line of Magnemite would be cool, especially if they made Magnezone. Then we'd have different cards because they're a different type.
i really wanted melmetal and butterfree to work well, its a strong stall deck but dies to the 1 shotters lol it was also the one time i learned you can force a draw if you get to turn 30
17:30 I can't get Serperior Venasaur to work. It'd be cool, since Venasaur heals, then there's Erica... but relying on getting 2 stage 2 pokemon is just miserable.
I would rather have lilligant online to build my energy economy. and dehlmine is a mini executor without an evolution - so it takes up less space. Executor is just an extra body, lilligant is an economy and dehlmine gives me a good first turn wall that scales with energy.
Super interesting deck. Have you noticed overall decks beginning to drop Sabrina? It leads me to believe Sabrina (and Red Card) will become powerful spoilers in tournaments.
Want to know your thoughts on this deck I’ve been running “Stars and Snipes” Two Staryu/Starmie ex Two Fineon/Lumineon Two Potions, Sabrinas, Giovanis, Professors, Pokeballs One Poke Flute One X Speed There is no retreat cost for Stage 1 evos and can do good damage with low energy requirements. Snipes with Lumineon avoid Drud wall and poke flute can bring back any 50HP basic mons for easy kills on bench. Thoughts
The new regular Exeggcutor is crazy strong. I prefer to play two reg Eggs, one EX (for early game or if I'm not finding Serp) and one Celebi to pivot to if I have the excess energy or need to stall. Standard Celebi decks are just too coin flip reliant and the energy you stack disappears with a front Celebi KO.
I just pulled the full art Pidgeot ex and I really wanna build a deck for it, I was messing with a Druddigon tank build but it wasn’t working that well
A deck that I haven’t been able to make work is like a hyper aggressive fighting deck. Basically using old primate, Marshadow, and hitmonlee to try and trade KOs in my favor, but it just never seems to quite work.
Use the new Primate + Hitmonlee + Aero + Marsh, just put 1 energy on marsh&aero while they're on the bench and put the 2nd energy when using them to attack after they k.o Hitmonlee or Primate
starmie ex + lumineon seemed like a great idea cause it can get online quickly, snipe bench, and both mons swap for free. but it just... doesn't actually work.
I can never get golem to work. Il play 10-15 games and maybe get 1 or 2 golems even made, and attack once. The draws always get me. Blaines ninetails only deck I find super consistant.
Been running this since the set released, except with an extra X Speed instead of one of the Exeggutor ex's (totally not because I only have 1 Exeggutor ex..) The new Exeggutor is insanely underrated tho imo
What happened to the single screen decklist you used to have? It was awesome, made trying out the deck way easier. Still, great videos man. Always love the recommendations!
I feel like anytime I go against this Celebi deck they always have Serperior in their hand from the start. Meanwhile im struggling to push out a stage 1 😂.
Now I am playing on pure colorless deck with pigeot and kanga but just unable to make one. Put random 3 color energy to confuse the opponent haha. Jz keep losing. 17:37
I've been trying to make some sort of lightning deck with paralysis. I run two eelektross and added dedenne recently as a sort of superior version to pincurchin to stall. I also run one zapdos ex to try and build up on my deck if needed.
I tried to make Marshadow, Hitmonlee, Primeape work, but I found it’s just too frail and lacks power outside of very situational things. Hitmonlee has no effect if your opponent has no bench, Primeape’s power depends on being damaged, making a frail deck even more frail, and Marshadow only has impact on a revenge hit. If there was a fighting equivalent to Blaine, it might work, but it just doesn’t hit hard enough to survive against these meta decks that value bulkiness in addition to overwhelming power. To me, Marshadow is a half-decent add-on to a fighting deck, rather than a main feature.
I got sick of playing Celebi because of the RNG. I started playing, I kid you not, a Pidgeot EX deck I came up with, and have had better results. - 2x mythical island Pidgey - 2x genetic apex Pidgeotto - 2x Pidgeot EX (could do one normal Pidgeot instead) - 2x Druddigon - 1x Abra - 1x Kadabra - 1x Alakazam - 2x potion - 2x X speed - 2x pokeball - 2x professor - 1x Sabrina Druddigon is an early wall while you evolve Pidgeot and/or Alakazam. Pidgeot one-shots many pokes, and Alakazam can one-shot the heaviest hitters like Celebi, Mewtwo, and Charizard. Druddigon can be powered up in a pinch too, but generally his wall just buys time and also knocks a few HP off the enemy for easier one-shots. Yes, this is in fact a deck with three different energy types. But it works since there’s a lot of colorless reqs across the team.
This game desperately needs some incentive for players to do and win more battles. Right now, I would need to win 100+ games to level up once, and get 12 pack points. No other rewards other than the Mystical Island emblem for wins. We need more rewards.
try as I might, Pidgeot EX is just not super reliable at all. I play it with Sigilyph to mill the deck, which means it requires 4 energy (3 for Pidgeot, 1 for sigilyph) to come online, which is too slow for this game. couple that with many players not filling the bench when they see a pidgey and it's just not doing well
Really fun Deck, but it hurts not having all the trainer support I usually have lol. I just played around 10 games with it, and I ran into a few situations I wish I had that extra Leaf, Gio, or Sab. One game I had the win set up and the only thing that could get me was a Sab. My Celebi (two energy) was hit with said Sab and I didn't have energy on my back row Serperior. Had an X Speed but no Leaf. Put that turns energy on Serperior, used Speed and switched back Celebi. Needed that energy on Celebi, 3 heads out of 6 is way better than 4. The lack of that support makes Celebi even more of a swing 😆 still fun though.
This is super close to the solo advanced deck that kicked my @ss day 1 of the xpac, I built it immediately once I got the cards and proceeded to win 14 games in a row in vs. Looks like the devs basically had it right from day 1
spragels PLEASE try this deck its so much fun 2 zapdos ex 2 continuous step eevee 2 jolteon and any items / suporters you want to add i go with 2 sabrinas 2 gios 2 xspeed 2 potions 2 pokeballs 2 research a blue and a leaf
I cannot get lumineon to work at all. It takes too long to get going for such a small payoff. Arricuno can combo okay with it but articuno is too weak too.
I've actually tried this idea pretty immediately when Celebi first came out with the exact mindset of quick pressure and high hp while powering up Celebi! It's served me super well!
does anyone know how he streams this app to his computer? I've been looking everywhere to find a way to play this game on my computer screen or something lol
I think what's more sad is that it took me until you reacted to putting the energy on the wrong Pokemon before I realized it! "What do you mean, putting energy on Celebi makes...oh no." Obviously not a big deal since you did have the out there. But yeah, that can happen when mentally on autopilot.
I really think the game would be much more fun if there wasn't energy manipulation. So many cards are balanced by their energy cost and interactions. Having energy batteries on your bench but only for a couple types feels awful.
I guess the deck I been having the most trouble with is Lapras EX. On paper you figure 80 damage with health recovery would be great, but the three water energy cost really hurts it. By the time you set it up the opponent has their strong Pokemon set up, making the health recovery useless. Plus the high retreat cost makes it annoying if you have to set it up first. Articuno Ex seem to fill it's role much better, and has better attacking options.
I tried to make regular blastoise non ex version work in a deck because of the new promo but it’s just awful even if you get it powered up with the bonus energy and gio it’s short of okoing Charizard ex. I liked the blastoise ex deck you made but I can’t make regular blastoise work at all
As long as there's no official NOEX mode, there's no reason to ever run a Phase 2 non EX, which has an EX version that does atleast the same. This includes the starter evos and Machamp. If you already commit to the full evo play, might as well go all in, the 2 point loss is not enough of a disadvantage to justify running the normal ones. Full Art Blastoise and Venusaur are just there for collecting purposes, nothing more (unless you wanna run a regular Blastoise alongside 2 Blastoise-EX to have more options).
@ yea I mean I just wanted to try it out cause of the promo but yea I mean it’s just worst version of the ex I just feel like it would have made sense if they made them slightly better but yea I mean there’s really no way to make them work
Electabuzz got such a raw deal. Same attack as Exeggutor EX (40+ 40 if you flip heads), but he needs 2 energy instead of 1 and does 20 to himself if you flip tails.
Celibi is completely BUSTED out of 20 games 18 are against this brainless one shot card… literally everybody is using it. They need to hurry up and nerf it so I can actually enjoy the game
I need only 4 more 1 star pokemon cards to have em all so could someone trade me one of these Vaporeon, Dedenne, Weezing or Eevee full art for one of these Alakazam, Bulbasaur, Bulbasaur, Pinsir, Cubone, Salandit, Salandit or Exeggutor full art.
I dont get why you hate Mewtwo so much? It has a stage 2 pokemon so it has the same downsides as any other setup deck. Im guessing the first couple days the game dropped you lost 10 games back to back to mewtwo and then kept on hating for no reason.
I been thinking Beheeyem or Alakazam. In both cases I'd add regular Gengar as well, as it requires only a single energy and the attack has the same effect as the Poké-Power. Mythical Slab helps with drawing the pieces as well.
I would like to say "cool" but, truth be told, Celebi/Serpiroyal decks are just annoying one-trick coinflip ponies. It would be more enjoyable if I didn't have to play against this every other match. For those with the same problem, a fighting deck with hitmonlee and marshadow works pretty well.
Ngl, this deck feels like an RNG nightmare. Not only waiting to get the stage Pokemons online, but getting your flips to land the right way.
Exeggutor deck I’ve been running with fairly positive results so far (even against the top 5 decks):
2 og Exeggcute
1 og Exeggutor
1 new Exeggutor
2 Exeggutor EX

Red card is already use almost exclusively in tournaments, but only because opponents know the decks they are playing beforehand
Very good tech with eggs ex. Great for tank
One thing that i find crazy is that theres no 2 erikas but thats my opinion and im changing the leaf into erika
I just have the regular Exeggutor, not the ex version. Is it still worth using the regular? Or should I just use something else?
I only have normal exeggcutor can I still use the deck? Help anyone!
The genetic apex normal or mythical island?
yes you can use it but it won't be as powerful.

Just beat this deck config with a Ninetails/Rapidash/Blaine deck. It’s certainly formidable if they manage to set up Serperior quickly.
I've gone up against a few of these decks with blaine and it's a pain but doable.
I tried to make Marshadow, Hitmonlee, Primeape work, but I found it’s just too frail and lacks power outside of very situational things.
