God bless you and your family. The baby is so cute, the pictures were perfect. Never seen macro shots of babies, its so beautiful. I have seen hundreds of your's and lee's videos and I am so happy for you all.
My daughter-in-law is in labor right now as I view your video. Great timing. I will use your tips to take photos of her when I see her in a few weeks. Thanks so much.
Congratulations! Beautiful baby and some awesome detail shots! I also thought photographing pets and babies were the hardest subjects until my son learned to walk and became a toddler! 😅
Perfect video. I got a brand new niece and this video gave me some ideas for the photo shoot im doing this weekend. DOnt have a macro lens but i think ill make do
What lens stops down to f 45/50? It looks like you are shooting on the 60mm1:2.8 D which only stops down to 32 (which is also about the furthest I've ever seen a lens stop down to). Is it a mirrorless thing?
@FStoppers right. But even so, at the closest possible focus, it only stops down to f40 (on mine at least), and since that is on the digital readout on the camera body and not on the lens itself, it seems like a thing generated by camera firmware. Like, on the aperture ring, it just has f2.8-32. Only on the camera LCD on my Nikon d750 does it shift the range to f3.5-40, so I'm wondering if there's any reason that a different camera body might do different math I guess. Or perhaps it is a byproduct of the adapter? Like, since the back of the lens is further from the sensor even though the aperture doesn't change the effective f stop does? I haven't been able to find any documentation that explains it is all, and it is the only prime lens that I have that does this.
Awesome shots, I really prefer these to the washed out and overly stylized look of popular modern newborn and wedding photography I'm one year in to the dad thing - 'set up' photos while you can because they soon start moving around and then it gets really interesting!
I just personally think they are a little strange. Dressing your baby in some crazy outfits and making them look like they are in a fantasy set just seems a little weird to me. To each their own though. -P
Congrats Patrick on becoming a father ❤️ Been following this channel for a long long time..Happy for you ❤️

Thank you for simplifying this!
Congratulations! Fun to watch.

Came here for a tutorial on using my z7 and godox speed lights with our baby boy coming 3/2023. Video was brilliant… pure ASMR.
Good suggestions. Beautiful baby! Congrats.
I just get Son yesterday, best time for video of this sort.
Great tips and motivation.
You guys are doing good job. Keep making those videos. 💪
I like the macro idea. Will have to try it when I next visit my grandchildren.
I am happy for you both of you guys. Good job!
Congratulations!

You don't have to have a lot of skill to capture great shots of Hudson; He is so-o-o cute!
😊 thank you, I do feel like we have a cute baby. -P
Awesome photos ❤

Yeah it’s that lens but it stops down even more as you change the focus. The aperture doesn’t change because it’s mirrorless or a DSLR. -P

Anyway, sorry if I'm being a nuisance. Great video. Those were some really nice shots you got. Congrats on becoming a dad!
No, this is interesting. I’ll see what it does on my Nikon D850. I always recall it going past 32 and seeing numbers in the 50s. -P
why are you guys getting so low youtube numbers? the content is good.

The sonofab**** part 😔. But wonderful lesson
I mean, he is my son hahah so I guess that means…I think all parents can relate. I couldn’t until about 3 weeks ago. -P
@@FStoppers 🤣🤣🤣🤣 congratulations 🍾🎉 I’m mot a parent yet lol
Why'd you have to say something bad about those popular baby photos to favorably position what you're trying to teach?
