    Little Gransden is stunning in the mornings. I have camped on the airfield a few times and sunrise over the runway is amazing.

      It does take iron discipline to get out of bed though! Always worth it.

      Indeed! The cold doesn't seem to bother me at all, but given the choice I would go for warm conditions.

    Beautiful flight!! I am shocked to see how green the landscape is there at this time of year. I live in Northeast Wisconsin and we had -2°C this morning as well, but very little green anywhere.

    • @markallisonparamotor
      @markallisonparamotor  Рік тому +1

      Yes the UK does seem quite green this time of year. Might be because we rarely get snow which stays on the ground for long. I lived in Switzerland for a while and the grass there turned yellow because of the snow cover.

    You may never be able to do an aerial tour of this but I would love to see where James Watt developed the steam engine. He played such a huge part in the industrial revolution.

    • @markallisonparamotor
      @markallisonparamotor  Рік тому +1

      Where did he develop the steam engine? Seems like a large part of time was spent in Cornwall, but I'm not sure. Let me know where it is and I can try and fly over it. 👍😎

      @@markallisonparamotor I copied this snippet in Wikipedia under *'Boulton and Watt':* Quote: _"Founded in the English West Midlands around Birmingham in 1775 as a partnership between the English manufacturer Matthew Boulton and the Scottish engineer James Watt..."_
      I don't actually expect you to fly over a highly populated or industrialized area but I just consider James Watt one the giants of the industrial revolution. I'm fascinated by what he accomplished. 😀

    Nope, still too cold. However I will agree that early morning flights are the best, just later in the year.

    • @markallisonparamotor
      @markallisonparamotor  Рік тому

      Yes, I know they're not for everyone. I do sometimes have a moment of vascillation before dragging myself out of bed on some days when it's frosty. I'm always glad I did though.

    for me beach flying is best because i need wind to get my fat ass up.
    hey please explain whats going on with his paramotor frame at 5:58min. i see extra struts. i count 8 struts plus the long one on the middle. why? never seen that design.

    • @markallisonparamotor
      @markallisonparamotor  Рік тому +1

      One is a cross brace because this paramotor is designed for trikes, helps prevent cage flexing with trike launches. I believe it's Power2Fly frame.
