Food chain operates not by themselves. The owner of the place (landlord/licensee) applies for the license to franchise their apartment to be able to legally sell Popeye's. Popeye got the money, the landlord got the license. From then onward the estabilishment is the responsibility of the landlord/licensee. I'm guessing the rat issue persists even before the licensee applied for Popeye since its possible to only took temporary action when inspected to impress some hygiene instead of maintaining it. As the branch estabilishment is the Landlord's responsibility, he's the one to blame and fired this delivery guy.

I'm a service technician and I fix restaurant equipment. About 90% of restaurants have mice, 10% or so have cockroaches but I've only ever seen rats at a restaurant that was closed for well over a month.
The only place I have ever been too that did not have bugs was a Tim Hortons where the lady left it smelling like bleach. Everywhere else I have ever been in food service always has had/ have bugs.
yeah its hard i work at a fast food restaurant and we drop alot of food on the ground and in the trash we have big mouse traps just in case good this is i never seen one and we keep it pretty clean but yeah everyone where food is rats and animals will come ive seen ants though
@@urff1322 he was a delivery guy to those stores, if the video popped up without nothing like that, they would have denied it or called it fake. Now deny something like this from someone who knows in and out your kitchen.
Exactly. If I ate fast food, I would never go back to a location if the same franchisee still owns the place. I think the investigation would show if he was sabotaged for sure. They can tell if droppings have been there a while or they just showed up.
If not sabotage, either he knew and had nothing done, or SOMEONE along the chain of command below him knew and didn't say anything or take the right measures.
That's what virtually every corporation and company do, that is why they have PR departments or public spokesperson(s) to do damage control even though what they have done is ethically bankrupt. To note, it's not a closed secret that the F&B industry is one of the most cutthroat industry around, where every employer is constantly looking for ways to do severe cost cutting measures that might potentially outright harm the wellbeing of both their employees and customers.
The franchise owner should have took care of the infestation way before this man came in and showed everyone. I'll be willing to bet there's so many more restaurants that have worse infestations though. I'll stay home and cook before I eat fast food.
exactly. i cannot trust ppl being underpaid/ teeneagers to make processed food that takes less than 10 minutes to prepare. it’s not good for u and it’s gross.
If more people like him would do this, for sure more than 50% of all the restaurants will be closed. Or if they will go inspecting like this guy, at night where all the rats and bugs appear.
It’s just sad it took this long for them to attempt to do anything about the issue. You’ve gotta know for probably months if not lingers employees have been complaining about the rats or their droppings but it went ignored from the owner and higher ups. Can you imagine how long that restaurant has been swimming in feces and bacteria/parasites, etc, from the rodents. Gives a new perspective on when you get food poisoning from somewhere.

He should have filed for wrongful termination against the guy that fired him
@@YouGottaShootEmInTheHead yeah I don't know what actions he took but he did make a GoFundMe page
those rats were HEALTHY as hell. Some big ass ones. Theyve been there for awhile
munching on the finest chicken gmo parts freshly made available in the shop..

Cause they've been eating well! Feasting on those chicken breasts 😂🤣

Thank you for your input, Byakuya.
Remarkable?… You need to get out of your basement
@@fern7306 its just an overly exaggerated complement but yeah
If you’re eating at Popeye’s, you’re probably NOT going to live a long and healthy life. LMAO!!! I also respect that driver using their slogan against them.
*_Byakuya_* giving someone a compliment?
What've you done with the *_real_* Byakuya!?
This guy put his job on the line to make sure people weren’t going to get seriously sick. He deserves a reward. People who serve food need to be held at a high standard. 👏 💕 do what’s right for your community, don’t just focus on a paycheck
Any normal judge will toss the case out.
he actually got fired by his job for doing a good thing.. i donated to him on his gofundme
🙌
@@user-gd4ty2nq3u Be careful, anyone can open a GoFundMe page and claim it is him.
But is this the only way to have done it? Via tik tok??? He couldn't call the board of health with the video and Popeye's HQ?
No wonder why Popeyes food taste so good it was Remy and his Ratatouille family making it all along! 🤯
*Remy.
Ratatouille is the dish
🤣😂🤣😂🤣
frrr
Lol
Lol.
When he says still enjoyin that chicken from Popeyes made me cry laughing
Not just at that Popeyes. I bet 50% of restaurants have rats.
No, more like 90% have them
I'm a service technician and I fix restaurant equipment. About 90% of restaurants have mice, 10% or so have cockroaches but I've only ever seen rats at a restaurant that was closed for well over a month.
How about living with them . 🤮
He probably knew he might get fired, still went ahead to shoot and added his face for confirmation just incase they try to deny. Legend!
@@urff1322 that’s what I’m wondering.
@@urff1322 he was a delivery guy to those stores, if the video popped up without nothing like that, they would have denied it or called it fake.
Now deny something like this from someone who knows in and out your kitchen.

The people who disliked probably loved that chicken from Popeyes
I still do! Yum

No accountability until it goes viral.
Business protection.
The franchisee should be banned from owning/running any food related business indefinitely, assuming he is at fault and wasn't sabotaged
Exactly. If I ate fast food, I would never go back to a location if the same franchisee still owns the place. I think the investigation would show if he was sabotaged for sure. They can tell if droppings have been there a while or they just showed up.
Sabotage? It's like inviting ants to a picnic.
If not sabotage, either he knew and had nothing done, or SOMEONE along the chain of command below him knew and didn't say anything or take the right measures.
Don’t worry, the owner cares, he’s “taking the necessary steps”. Top priority
You don't know what you're talking about
I like how every fast food restaurant says their top priority is cleanliness but its the one thing they fail doing.
A test to see if a restaurant is good to eat at is go look at their bathrooms before you order.
The franchise owner should have took care of the infestation way before this man came in and showed everyone. I'll be willing to bet there's so many more restaurants that have worse infestations though. I'll stay home and cook before I eat fast food.
exactly. i cannot trust ppl being underpaid/ teeneagers to make processed food that takes less than 10 minutes to prepare. it’s not good for u and it’s gross.
a popeyes ad literally popped up before this video
The owner of that store knew about those rats before he was busted. Shame on him 😕.
I would have a BB gun....I mean a 12 gauge to deliver there
Savannah Howard...Exactly 💯.

I really hope the guy didn't get in trouble. He probably saved thousands of lives
If so then we should do go fund me for him . He truly deserves our appreciation
I agree, thousands of people would have died if they ate that chicken. He should get an award
Indeed, saved people from dying from terrible stomach illness. Now they can die from heart disease like they originally planned
@@wayneallen1797 what do rats have on them that makes people die ?
@@TheShark447 😂😂😂
If more people like him would do this, for sure more than 50% of all the restaurants will be closed. Or if they will go inspecting like this guy, at night where all the rats and bugs appear.
@Phillip Mock The manager wanted to give someone a fried rat purposely to save money on Chicken?
@Phillip Mock that is actually most likely fake
@Phillip Mock Ok but I’m talking specifically about this KFC incident
@Phillip Mock The fried rat was fake you know. Search it up

"We have Ratatouille at home."

Kudos to the delivery guy, he is overseeing many peoples livelihood.
Its not there job. He didnt have to say anything
If I was an employee there, I would have spoke up long ago.
Just some politicians stopping by for a bite after a day at "work".
