That's a great flowchart -- very useful.
Wow.. I have been looking for a visual chart, and here it is!
❤ excellent work
One feature of early Pentecostalism not mentioned in the chart is the Molokans who were Armenian immigrants in Los Angeles in the immediate vicinity of Azusa St. They were practicing glossolalia in Armenia in the 19th century and were persecuted by the Russian Orthodox Church. Demos Shakarians family was Molokai.
The Molokans were also anti-State pacifists. To my knowledge none of the precursors you mentioned were pacifists. So it seems to me that the only possible influence which could have produced it was that of the Molokans.
Awesome video brothers! Very informative!
Thank you, Charles!
Thank you, Charles, for making that chart. It must have taken a long time!! One of the things i take away from it is that WMB and his following were one of many groups. When I was in the cult, they wanted us to believe the message was this isolated , amazing thing, standing alone and there was nothing like it. Nothing could be further from the truth. It was one of many. I appreciate you putting v into context so we can understand what it actually is.
An absolute good chart John and Charles thanks I will definitely go into again and again I need this knowledge greatly, stay blessed in Jesus name amen 🙏
Who is the speaker, and, has he written a book on the topic? I sure hope so. I'll buy.
This is incredible. The British israelism source is fascinating. I think it it a massive problem.
Any info on The Salvation Army? Any connection to all of this?
Any way you can make that chart printable for us?!
If you go to the bottom of the page and navigate to the "Image" tab, you can find the image and a download button. Direct link:

I am wary of pentecostalism, in general. But one could argue that the "holiness" aspect comes from methodism, no? Denominational pentecostalism, say AoG or COGIC, are orthodox in their theology.
You mentioned doing this before I was hoping you would do that.
When did prayer language come into the picture?
Could you post a link to this chart in PDF (or other) form?
You can find it here:

Thank you for this! Much appreciated!!
this is your first transmissions recieved
What are you talking about when you mention Malachi 4, 5, and 6? Malachi only has four chapters.
4:5-6
Can we buy copies of this chart?
Wow nothing is new
NAR, Pentecostalism, ... follow the natural protestantism path for infinite splinter groups/denominations and a strong view of sola scriptura (independent and personal interpretation of Scriptures). We shouldn't be surprised by what transpired. I'm sure other versions after NAR are coming. It has been 500 years of interesting experimentation in Christianity.
What 500 years? SInce the Reformation you mean? Cool your jets a little bit, there was ALWAYS a small but faithful number of people who preached the true gospel to counter the lies of Rome. The Reformers often jumped from the frying pan into the fire, by taking the teachings of Augustine as valid, which they were not.
Matthew 12:29
There were USA Pentecostals before Azusa.
Meh I have my doubts about how accurate or useful that chart is.
Why? Be specific. Where is the error?
