So glad you have all your hair back. Amazing!! Thank you for the update. I was wishing it wasn't something like minoxidil. I have not read anywhere else minoxidil giving such crazy regrowth, so I'm hugely surprised if it was that. You have such a glowing personality. I wonder if it was your positive attitude and new love interest that helped the most.
Thank you for sharing your story. You have the best attitude. I have a different type of alopecia and totally get what you had to be feeling. Mine started before yours and is one without a cure but you really can control it if you treat it as soon as it gets active. I have been in Minoxidil for years now and I will never stop it unless there is a medical reason that I have to. What I have is called lichen planopilaris. I take many different medications Spiranolactone that it doesn’t allow the hair growth in other parts of the body from Minoxidil also different vitamins like Kerotin and Nutrafol on a daily basis. I have always had great dermatologist from Universities where they do studies for new treatments therefore I know I am always treated with the latest. I am also blessed with a full head of hair but it takes a lot to keep it that way. I wish you the best and God willing we will remain in remission for good. I love your country. I live in the United States but I have a son that has been living in Manchester for the last 14 years. Good luck and keep us updated on your journey.

You look so happy 🥰! I got 2 bald patches on my head which my hair hadn’t grown since January. I noticed the first one on Jan and the second one just 2 days ago, so I don’t know what might be happening to me. The spots haven’t gotten bigger they’re just completely bald and there’s no hair coming out
@@LofiPOV I went to see my doctor and a dermatologist. They gave me a cream to reduce inflammation on my scalp & to calm down the immune system from attacking. I am not cured but I pray I never get one again.
minoxidil and injections are very bad for the health. The point is not to fall when you stop these. i injected too and saw results but when i stopped, my hair fall out again months later. with all these things,i believe you treat the symptom but not the root of the problem. I really hope to desappear forever. keep us informed
PLEASE could you do an AA 101! i recently got diagnosed and i haven’t had a proper talk over what exactly it is because of lockdown so it’d really help coming from someone that has experienced it all :)
Quick and brief notes to take into account. - alopecia areata is an auto immune disorder. - your immune system recognises your hair as a foreign body and attacks your hair - as a result your hair falls out - generally 4/5 people recover from it within two years The notes above very briefly describe what it is and what causes it. The next few points detail everything I've found out about alopecia from research and personal experience. - firstly, there is no set cure for this type of disease (auto immune disease). - hospital treatments generally don't have the best success rate when solving the problem and the stronger the treatment, the more serious the side effects are. An example would be corticosteroids injections can cause the skin to become really thin and weak. - suppression of the immune system is not advised as it is what protects us from harmful diseases and illnesses As someone who has had alopecia areata for 13 years, this is what I have found out so far (this isn't set in stone as it is quite a complex issue so consult a medical professional regarding these matters). - generally what I have found is that alopecia areata is a symptom of an underlying problem, it isn't the problem itself. - as it is your immune system that is attacking your hair, your immune system needs to be put in check. - as gut health is a major factor in immune system health and functionality, gut health should be a priority. - from what I have found out through research is that if the lining in the intestine is damaged, foreign bodies enter our system which is what causes the sudden hostility (for lack of a better term) towards our own cells. - as the food we eat today is heavily processed or abundant in added suger, it has a major impact on our gut health and thus your immune system. Personally, as I have tried fixing my diet, getting more exercise and generally trying to live a healthier lifestyle, my hair is in the best state its been in since alopecia took nearly all the hair of my head. Another thing to mention is try eating and drinking food with drinks rich in probiotics. I am by no means an expert on the topic but these are things that I have found through research and experience. Hope this helps and I hope you have a fast recovery.

Hey! I stopped taking oral minoxodil roughly 5-6 months before this video was recorded and haven't taken any since! My hair is still going strong and is pretty long now! So altogether - I took it just for 7 months from March to November 2019 :)
Thanks so much for your reply. Also, please advise if there was any side effect as I had tried to rub those mouse foam, it seems that I had some hair grown near my mouth just like moustache, then I stopped using it. Also, will that work for hereditary hair loss or menopause hair loss at all? Please reply when you can. Take care and thanks a lot again!
@@qqhk9647 Hi! Sorry, it's been so long. I did not get any noticeable side effects from the tablets of minoxidil. I had not used foams or creams or any topical treatments for a long time as my scalp became super sensitive to this stuff and would come up in a rash. The only thing I did was the tablets for 10 months.... I do not know whether it will work for someone else in my situation - or any other causes of hair loss.
Thank you for the update Julia! You are glowing! This gives us so much hope that it can get better ☺️ Quick question, do you have to take these tablets indefinitely to maintain the results?
Hey, your hair looks so amazing! Did you have any weird hair growth issues in your face or something while using oral minoxidil? I heard it's quite usual when you use the minoxidil solution...

I’d rather have what you had than Androgenetic aloepcia 😢 because this can’t be reversed or cured at all. 💔 is it true if you stop minoxidil though that hair will fall back out? I heard you have to be on monoxide for the rest of your life to possibly keep it.
AGA can't be reversed all that much, but it can be treated. Minoxidil puts it on hold for as long as you keep using it. Once you stop it returns to the baseline (ie. Where it would've been if you never used minoxidil at all). Finastride is also an option if you're male or a female past reproductive age... Comes with crazy side-effects though for some people so it's important you keep communicating with a physician. Do check out Rob English's website and research articles. It's not a cure all by any means, but during my alopecia journey it was the only place I could get authentic information from without feeling depressed.

Hate to burst the bubble, but the growth most likely did not come from the tablets, but the steroid injections.
