LOVE your tutorial!!! Can’t wait to begin making my mask tomorrow. I’ve been hibernating since March 5 and crochet has saved me. EVERYBODY needs a hobby. When these workaholics retire, they won’t have anything to fall back on. I don’t have a problem staying home and following the rules. Please be safe and stay healthy...it will help you and others. Cook something yummy and take it to a neighbor. Think of others!!!!!

What a great pattern! Thank you! I’m isolated due to chemo and I ended up with septicemia. I’ve been not allowed to go out at all. So I’m making masks to give to my home nurse and friends and family as needed. It keeps me busy and I love charity knitting and crochet. Thanks again for taking the time to make and post this mask.

Thank you so much for sharing this video! I have scouring the internet making cloth versions. Then, I figured someone had made either a crochet or knit face mask. So again I tried a few, they were ok but not fitted properly. Then I came across your video! It's beautiful and fits perfect. I have even adjusted the number of stitches to make smaller and bigger ones for my family. I can't thank you enough. You're an angel. ❤❤

this is great. I just started crocheting and had a bit of trouble getting the right count on the first row with the 2 sc in one stitch, but once I got that going, was able to complete this great masks. It fits nice and snug and i will sew a cotton layer to the inside with openings on each end to pop a filter in. Was pleased how well it turned out given that I’m a real beginner. Thanks for this great tutorial.

But, durning these times it’s good to be able to focus my attention on something else and to be able to do my little part . Because we are all in this together. Thank you for this pattern! It was so fun to make and very easy to follow. I’ve made a few for myself and a few for my friend using Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Cotton. They’re so much more comfortable than the ones I’ve sewn too! I added a double crocheted panel to the back to hold a filter. Things are looking up in Bakersfield, CA. Our cases a lower than had been predicted. As for quarantine at home, I’m retired, so this is really no different from my everyday life...lol! Blessings to you Garnet, stay safe.

Thank you very much for this pattern. UA-cam is filled with many how to crochet/knit/sew masks these days. We all need to protect ourselves and also keep ourselves busy. I made several masks that turned out ok, but none of them have the perfect fit and coverage as your pattern does. I just finished one and looking forward to making several. I'm also going to sew a pocket style inside liner for extra coverage with filter or tissues. Thank you for your patient and easy instructions. You too stay safe and healthy

I JUST came across this video so I haven't made it yet. I found a really great video the first time I searched. It was a fitted adjustable crocheted mask with a liner. I thought that was the best knee I'd found at the time. I loved the one I made, especially with the lining. (I doubled it so I could insert a filter!) The only "problem" I had was the same as yours: the ear loops were too big. But of course it was a quick fix--I simply reduced the number of chains. So when I make this one I'll just automatically reduce the number of chains for the rest loops! I really like the fitted crocheted mask and mask covers!

Just made my first one - thank you! This is perfect to go over a disposable mask and hold it snuggly against your face. Great design, and simple enough for a beginner.
30 chain for ear loops is too loose for most people, 20 is better. Experiment with adding/skipping stitches around the nose bridge, you can really customize the fit.

so l followed you along...that wasn't to bad of a job...I'm thinking of partially lining mine with a cloth pocket so l can use filters or patches of cotton material in the pocket....it fitted my face nicely...l used yarn instead of cotton yarn cause none of my cotton seems soft enough or the right thickness....I'll work it out...I'm a Victorian Aussie who just came out of stage four lockdown a month ago...masks are still mandatory when out in public so there is still a use for them yet here...l hope your in an area where the numbers are low...good luck, merry Christmas and may 2021 be much better for you...

I don't have the cotton yarn right now but the one I used is very thin so what I did is just went over the top about 3 more times than I did the ear's and going down to the bottom I did it 2 more times and it came out very nice.

They have asked me to make some and I am working at that now. i found the one I made comfortable. The trial one was in acrylic and easier to make than the cotton but realize that cotton is better for washing and hygiene. thanks again very good instructions and easy to follow.

Kriss, I love Garnet's fitted mask tutorial too. I just finished the crocheted part of my first mask using the tutorial. I had to use a higher number of stitches because I have a 'full' face. It was easy to adjust the size upward. (Not all patterns/designs are). I'm going to line mine too, with a pocket for a filter. I am hoping I can draw up a template for the lining that will be useable. Love to all and happy crocheting!

Thank you!!. I work in a hospital and would like this to go over my mask.. I will have to make some adjustments. Followed directions to a T. Mask is a little bit too big for my face. Will try again tomorrow with a smaller hook.

the funnest thing is when she sayd it went by very quickly im like no maybe you went by quickly the magic of camera LOL im still on my 1st row after she was done. BTW can you alter nate the patten to make any size if you started different chain stitch i think partents who have kid are having hard time getting mask for kids.

Thank you for sharing this pattern, out of THE MANY crochet mask patterns, this one is the best fitting and most comfortableness. Only adjustment was the ear loops , I had to make 26 chains because 30 was too loose. Otherwise it was perfect!👍
