Hi, Al. This video is a dub of a post, about when a student copies an essay online, instead of writing it, and changes every word to a synonym. Please show it to people who will like it. Thank you.

Once got accused of plagiarism. They pulled up the "evidence", which was an article from three years before, from which a sentence apparently perfectly matched a sentence in my work. It was about the same topic and we just so happened to have similar writing styles when explaining a way of economic manipulation.
Nothing else was wrong with my work, just that one sentence used in a similar context, yet they felt the need to waste time, both mine and theirs, by scheduling a meeting to talk down to me like I'm some amateur idiot who couldn't write an original sentence to save their life. They almost insisted on punishing me anyway after I pointed out how ridiculous the accusation was until I threatened to escalate the issue by filing a complaint.
Just a stupid example of people who let the little power they hold go to their head and end up power tripping.

It basically is a very very complicated machine that predicts “if this sample appeared in a text (online), what word / phrase would come next?” - it’s definitely impressive tech (computers can finally parse natural language like machine code to an extent), but indeed it has no conception of “true” and “false” and understands nothing beyond “what comes next?”. Using it to do assignments where the goal is more than just writing or coding is silly, and even when it’s just writing or coding it’s likely going to give bad results unless strongly guided by the user. • @TPkarov

As a culinary enthusiast, I have always prided myself on exploring the diverse spectrum of flavors that the world has to offer. However, when confronted with the notion of a grilled cat sandwich, I found myself grappling with a moral and ethical dilemma unlike any other.
In the realm of gastronomy, innovation often walks hand in hand with controversy. Yet, even in this avant-garde landscape, the idea of consuming feline meat sends shockwaves through the culinary community. My initial reaction was one of repulsion, as the thought of indulging in such a dish seemed unfathomable.
However, as I delved deeper into the hypothetical scenario, I couldn't help but consider the cultural and historical contexts that surround the consumption of various meats. Throughout history, humans have exhibited a remarkable adaptability in their dietary habits, drawing sustenance from a wide array of sources. While certain animals are revered as companions in one culture, they are regarded as delicacies in another.
In this imagined world where the grilled cat sandwich exists, I found myself torn between my visceral aversion and a sense of intellectual curiosity. Would I dare to challenge the boundaries of my culinary comfort zone? Could I set aside preconceived notions and embrace a new culinary experience, however controversial it may be?
Ultimately, I realized that my opinion on the matter was deeply personal and subjective. While I may never find myself partaking in such a dish, I can appreciate the role it plays in sparking dialogue and reflection within the culinary sphere. In a world where food is not only sustenance but also a form of cultural expression, the grilled cat sandwich serves as a provocative reminder of the complexities that lie at the intersection of taste, tradition, and ethics.

At the time someone taking a class in school duplicates a previously written paper from the internet, then goes on to diligently switch every word to different words that have the same meaning up until the writing doesn’t have a clear meaning anymore, you could name it, the large boat of a book that has an alphabetized list of words and words that mean the same thing

Had a Spanish guy on a group project use Spanish Google to find look for a professional paper in Spanish then ran that through Google translate and then gave me 40 pages of poorly translated biased drivel to read over before i submitted. It was really obvious. The language fluvtuated between broken English and far too professional for anyone to ever write. His part made up a huge piece of the grade too and i couldn't risk being caught on plaigerism, so had to tell the lecturers. He could've got me expelled for that... I just told the lecturer to take him out of the group and mark him separately. He then failed cos he had nothing

I used to manually re-write a bunch of US Civil War Internet articles for my 5th class history presentation.
I was 10, so that was about as much transformative work I could do, trying to meet the teacher's expectations against plagiarism.
The teacher figured it out anyways, because I couldn't/didn't change several short sentences. And she found the original websites with ease. Figuring out that I copied most, if not all.
She still gave me an A for effort, though. Because my presentation was the best in class, when it came to historical detail, oral presentation, and poster design.
(Over prepared a lot for that project. The presentation was something you'd get a C for, even in 10th grade.)
