@@captainsergeant Thanks! I've been watching his UA-cam channel. The clips are shorter, but there are more of them. I wasn't making the connection that it replaced the cable series.
My Mom had one of those 500XL models with the special code for the 400HP high compression Thunderbird 390. Four individual bucket seats and a floor shifter. It was badass!
Its not. This is old. RK's JYG was on for two seasons after ep94 of Roadkill and has since not returned. Steve covered this on his channel sometime ago, in the last 6 months.
I just so happened to have owned a 64 galaxies 500 xl fastback and now I own a 63.5 galaxies 500 fastback both 390 motors.great motors great power and easy to get even more power...huge power out of them.
That Nash episode was the first episode I not able to watch after the removed world wide streaming. Will be waiting 10 years for Foxtel in Australia to finally dedicate time to show the more recent episodes, currently they are not showing RK again, they were showing a few from 2016 but a search again today showed nothing available. Time to pull my subscription.
I'm not from the US and don't own a car and almost everthing that I know (and love) about cars I got from Roadkill. I'm impressed how Freiburger listens to this guy with attention and respect, couldn't imagine that David doesn't know someting, cuz he knows soo much, billions of tiny little details about cars history and physics etc
Forgot you screwdriver. I really loved this series. Back in the day of running rummaging through junk yards looking for part and trim and anything you might need. Reminds me of good times with my dad. 😇
Man I've been doing this stuff since the seventies and you guys are wearing me out just fixed the speedometer on my S10 V8 swap today I'll feel proud of myself that's all I'm going to do
I’m about to finally buy my first classic car! a 1954 Pontiac chieftain! She’s pretty but not perfect and she’s completely stock! Such a beautiful car!
No way!! My son and I made a quick road trip from San Diego to Hidden Valley in Maricopa Arizona to buy a few parts for my brother's 1954 Dodge. Good people, lots of parts. It's just off of what is known as Dead Cow Road around there.
That minicar was so much of a road hazard. It was wayworse than the Stingray. I gotta believe that it waz boxed in like a movie car to avoid crashing into somebody or getting it in-pounded..
That Samurai 440 made any new Hellcat or 392 Jeep look bad especially it cost them around 4k or less vs 90k and still more fun than the Jeep on and off roads.
Hey, update the viewers about Episode 53 on the 1956 Buick that was bought in Lebanon, Tennessee was it ever finished up! I have a 1/25 scale model of a 1956 Chrysler 500 I am going to built it with Dualie wheels in back. Whitewall Tires and exposed wheel rims
That galaxy is very worthy of at least a little love. The body is gorgeous just needs better fitment and some odds and ends . Idk about the frame rails bit if they are straight I’d tube the engine bay for a newer ltd or crown vic front subframe and drivetrain
8:36 .... I was gunna say, well I will say, I REMEMBER THAT SAMARI... was I seein into the future again... ht happens sometimes, but hadn't been THE WINNING LOTTO NUMMERS, yet, but it happens lol then... EARTH DAY some of our best finds from the past... yup :) FvuDazzaDAY
Ford used the Thunderbird name the same way Chevy used the Corvette name (my 4 door 1956 Crown Vic has a "thunderbird badge on its front fenders). Including the 406 FE which wasn't even in a Thunderbird. Then Shelby made the Cobra and Ford called all its hot engines "Cobra", like the Cobra 289, Cobra Jet, etc.
I would love for y’all to do a roadkill special off roading with my 1994 Jeep grand Cherokee. It has the stock 5.2L 318 v8 x all wheel drive. Standard everything else. I put 31x10.5x 15 patagonias . On it
This looks like turners scrap yard where Mike and Dave rescued pig pen if any one remembers that episode. This is a whole new level of a ford thunderturd
The cancellation of Junkyard Gold was a low point in humanity. I have all the episodes DVrd and rewatch them often. For real. I just like cars.
He has his own you tube channel now it's called Steve magnante
Check out his UA-cam channel. You'll be right at home.
@@captainsergeant Thanks! I've been watching his UA-cam channel. The clips are shorter, but there are more of them. I wasn't making the connection that it replaced the cable series.
Dang, didn't even know they cancelled it. :(
It’s a low budget show, if Steve, isn’t on some kind of retainer with motor trend, he should UA-cam it… we love it
Steve Maganate has his own UA-cam Channel Junkyard Crawl he is a walking Encyclopedia.😎👍
@Shack life Customs calm down dude From San Diego California.
Thanks for the tip love car history
Hey David, Mike , Steve keep doing what you do . You guys are awesome and keep me going during my bad days
This was the reason I watch road kill taking old junkyard cars and building them back up to something sweet like the charger they have.
The very best junkyard rescue was the Disgustang. Love that thing.
Agreed... awesome save. Pretty sure these guys set the "abandoned, will it run and drive" trend in motion.
the worst part is that it drove right past my house and i didnt even know it
@@Wazoo117 literally? Just right past your house? Or drove through your state?
Agree! It's awesome. My personal favorite is the muscle truck. Was a great episode when they off roaded it
And David just sold it for 75 grand
My Mom had one of those 500XL models with the special code for the 400HP high compression Thunderbird 390. Four individual bucket seats and a floor shifter. It was badass!
400 hp? was that the TriPower? were they inline or inclined?
This is the roadkill I remember, love and miss.
Dude Steve's a legend this is so cool seening him on your show
Steve and David in the same show! Pure gold! Dulsich, too! My mind is blown.
I am so glad that Junkyard Gold is making it's way back to Motor Trend. I loved the show and never could understand why they took it off the air.
Its not. This is old. RK's JYG was on for two seasons after ep94 of Roadkill and has since not returned.

I hope to see more of this Galaxie in the future. Would make an awesome NASCAR clone.
@@paulolson734 think they said it was sold a while back , same as the samurai
Those galaxies look cool done up as a lightweight 427 replica .. I love them in black with a red interior
I would love to be able to watch these shows in Australia even paying the subscription fees. That would be great!

If you have Amazon Prime they’re all on there on the Motor Trend channel.
i love roadkill, this makes me so happy!
More videos like this please ! Could watch it all day !

I just want you guys to know I bought a 1967 Pontiac Catalina in 2014 because of Roadkill. Been having fun ever since. Thanks guys.
I'm a chevy guy BUT I love that 64 Ford
Forgot you screwdriver. I really loved this series. Back in the day of running rummaging through junk yards looking for part and trim and anything you might need. Reminds me of good times with my dad. 😇
Junkyard gold was my favorite, now watch it on you tube. Great work guys!
Nice seeing these again.. I think I've watched them all, but I'm going to rewatch some of these.
The improvised exhaust tips look amazing. Definitely need to keep them.
I'm so happy you're bringing him back!!! i love his bank of knowledge.
You guys are NUTS!!!!!!! now go do more, Thanks!!!!!!
Best day at work ever ) Slowing down is not an Option )
Subscribed!!!! Already subscribed to MT on the Tele so anything with Finnegan, Freiberger, Dulcich or Magnante I'm in.
Man I've been doing this stuff since the seventies and you guys are wearing me out just fixed the speedometer on my S10 V8 swap today I'll feel proud of myself that's all I'm going to do
FYI: T-Bird SuperCoupe had a SUPERcharged V6. TurboCoupe had the TURBOcharged 4.
that's so awesome I didn't know you visited my local speedy way in Roseburg Oregon
That '65 Starfire photobombing at@0;48 steals the show!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I LOVE MY HOT ROD FAMILY!!!! RECYCLING IS SO MUCH FUN!!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
I’m about to finally buy my first classic car! a 1954 Pontiac chieftain! She’s pretty but not perfect and she’s completely stock! Such a beautiful car!
Very Cool!! Good luck with it.
Love you road kill ❤️ lots of love from India 🇮🇳
Love the Galaxy. Should have done a build up on it.
ya gotta LOVE 💕 those old iron chariots!!!
way to go amigos!!!
Sweet. Roadkill is back!
I wish I could sit around a fire with beers and talk to Steve for hours about cars!! I'll buy the beers !!! 😊
:46 lovely shade of neglect 🤣
...so many memories of growing up/working at my father's service station..
Steve made the show. Glad he has his own UA-cam now.
The reason no cops pulled them over for all that smoke is because they died from smoke inhalation when they got behind them. 5:42
I love these kind if shows
Happy happy Happy!!
That’s crazy it was sitting there perfectly operable…
I wish I could cast motortrend to my tv like I used to…
I miss watching this stuff and my phone is just too small to watch it on
Legend has it mike is still holding his jacket closed from the freezing rain on the freeway
Roadkill is awesome
I love these guys💯💯

They had a TV show for awhile Desert Valley
So we can watch a watered down road kill for free but still cant pay for a full episode if you live outside of the us???? Seems crazy to me
Luv u guys.Thank you.
The 1964 is super sweet
The dream team is back !!!
Roadkill the ultimate car show
That minicar was so much of a road hazard. It was wayworse than the Stingray. I gotta believe that it waz boxed in like a movie car to avoid crashing into somebody or getting it in-pounded..
dulcich really is a king
That Samurai 440 made any new Hellcat or 392 Jeep look bad especially it cost them around 4k or less vs 90k and still more fun than the Jeep on and off roads.

Best line in ten years!!
It's coming from the trunk...Look!
Love the grand sport stripes on the red galaxy!
It's a lovely shade of neglect 😂😂😂 gonna have to start using that thanks patches O Finnegan.
The first car was badass! The nash was cool but not big block 4 speed cool.
I've been here plenty times!!
"This smokes real bad" - that's why it was parked 40 years old 😂
I had thermo quads on all my mopars one was a 69 roadrunner 383 Magnum and a 68 charger only a 318 but whatever at least I can say I had one!
Those twice pipes on that 64 galaxie!
That is a cool Galaxy👍
Wow amazing dudes!
That galaxy is very worthy of at least a little love. The body is gorgeous just needs better fitment and some odds and ends . Idk about the frame rails bit if they are straight I’d tube the engine bay for a newer ltd or crown vic front subframe and drivetrain
Can't believe that Galaxie started. Incredible.
I’d be in my happy place if Roadkill and Roadkill Garage came back to Australia 😕
Or generally just outside of the US.
I loved the one near Phoenix
8:36 .... I was gunna say, well I will say, I REMEMBER THAT SAMARI... was I seein into the future again... ht happens sometimes, but hadn't been THE WINNING LOTTO NUMMERS, yet, but it happens lol
then... EARTH DAY some of our best finds from the past... yup :) FvuDazzaDAY
Stop box finish 😦🤯
He needs to come out to pahrump nv. There's tons of yards
Well , you shoulda added a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil to the gas tank and engine oil . Marvel , works every time !

Awsome back on you tube
The threaded rod shifter 😂😂

Nitrous Cuda is my favorite Roadkill car!
What a great car!!
This looks like turners scrap yard where Mike and Dave rescued pig pen if any one remembers that episode. This is a whole new level of a ford thunderturd
I know that yard pretty well, I've gone there huntung for parts for my 65 f100
You can’t do that in Illinois because once a car is put to salvage the title cannot be returned to a normal state
SWEET!
Good luck 👍
Have a 1994 lincoln mk 7 or 8
Has front end damage. Is it possible to find parts?
That Nash Metro was a poor design - but it was poorly executed... so there’s that. 🤘
Idk the truck that put 440 in was that HARRY’S tow truck lol good seeing it
LOL did frieburger just mention aesthetics?!?! That's rich =)
this one is my favorite one to wach, because it shows you how awesome a Ford is. what ever happened to it????
Wow, a lot of that old iron needs to be restored. Hope at least some of them get saved.
Shame I can’t watch full episodes anymore coz I live in aus
Cool Galaxie
Where did the Galaxie wind up and what was wrong with the new engine that they tried in it?
I about died when I saw the taped on stripes and eyebrows
Prelubing that old thing 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I would have a sprayed a little wd in the plug holes at least though..
I wish there was more junk yard gold
Badass.
I have a 66 390fe t bird.
Badder than the barmobile.
