Fantastic work on the cockpit Jamie, I'll remember that tip on the Supermarine cockpit green paint mix. Also the darker chipping colour on the seat really worked well.
Stunning looking cockpit Jamie! Without being over the top, and with really beautiful painting, it's a wonderful looking model. 👌 Spot on mate, looking forward to the next episode. Take care mate. Bobby
Exquisite work ! - Didn't realise they were Silver & Cockpit Green - I have just done the Tamiya 1/48 Spitfire and used AK 3rd Gen Cockpit green - very pleased with that until I saw yours 🤯. I have the Kotare Va coming so I get to do it properly next time - looking forward to the next instalment!
I’m enjoying this as I have one of these beauties in the stash. Its place in the build queue is rising every time I see one of these built. I really appreciate your descriptions of techniques and your reasoning - thank you. ps. May I pass on a tip? I clean (de-burr) drill holes with a sharp drill bit considerably larger than the hole I’m cleaning. As long as you use light pressure it works well.
It's a smashin' cockpit OOB isn't it. For the Supermarine apple green I used Mr Color RLM82. Seems like heresy using an RLM in a Spitfire but I'm useless at mixing paint colours and it seemed to be the closest match after i disappeared down the rabbit hole to find a match😊
Wow! The control cables are amazing.
Kudos to Kotare's instructions!
Brilliant work!
Thanks mate

Thanks Bobby
I like the way you stick to one model at a time Jamie. Not like some other channels that bounce around.
I lose motivation if I do that!

That'll be a close match mate
Great video, Jamie. Could you please let me know what type of electric drill you’re using? Looks great.
It’s a Wowstick cordless drill.
It's called a Wowstick, I got mine from Amazon
Hi Jamie, beautiful work! looking to 109k. What do you think of HGW seat belts?
Me too. I love HGW belts, they are the best but I was on a bit of a tight timeline with this one.
