Well it could also be the person typing the paper wants to give credit to the people s/he has been developing the idea with. And by this I mean having conversations and other types of exchanges with. No thinker creates in a vacuum, but rather builds on ideas of others. Satoshi credits Adam Back in the paper for some of the ideas he is building on.
Yes, and in such papers I've always interpreted the "we" as the author together with the reader. And the tone of a properly written academic paper/text has the feel of the author hosting the reader graciously - along the lines of "let us, dear reader, reason together."
Satoshi (the one who IS ) said "we" because he was writing the hackers constitution. I hope you've learned this by now. But he didn't want the hackers to control the network. Better luck next time, I guess.
either amd nvidia toyota samsung or mitsubishi invented it ! it was a inside job one of them connected their possibilities to the global audience ! 0o0
Thanks Ivan for being an educator for so many of us. This is my first comment ever on the channel as I am watching Good Morning crypto on my way to work every morning, but with the time zone difference, never could attend the live Morning Show. This one breaking down the white paper is absolutely well constructed and clear to understand the crypto and blockchain space. It is definitively one of the firsts points of reference to start learning the upcoming coding class that I am excited to join to keep developing my vision on blockchain technology. Thanks for being such a great educator!
In your videos, I see your passion for the tech that I don't see in alot of other UA-camrs. I can only imagine the amount of time and research that goes into the things you talk about. Some UA-camr's dig into a project at the beginning stages and make speculation early on without a follow up later. I feel, if they have taken the time out early on to talk about a project, they should be thorough enough with their community to follow that project through updates, milestones and changes that have been made that you talked against previously....especially if good changes were made....right or wrong! But, that takes a big man... giving credit where credit(s) is due! You're a smart guy.... you know where I'm going with this...lol! There might have been some truth to your previous statement in the beginning, but what about now? As a scholar and a guy that big on tech, you would think that, as more info was released and changes were made within project, you as a UA-camr, your review would update as well.....but for some reason, that doesn't happen. It never happens with any UA-camr. Don't get me wrong... If a project is crap, its crap! But if a project has the potential to become something that could help the space as a whole grow by setting a higher bar, or doing something no project has yet to accomplish, why not right your wrongs and bring another discussion to the table. Again, you might have had a compelling argument then, but what about now! Love the videos.... Keep doing what your doing.... BUT try to take what I'm saying in consideration.
There's a reason why kings and queens have their heads on the money, it's because money is power. This is why Bitcoin is so revolutionary... the first money with no face on it. Think about it...
You just made a really complicated piece of whitepaper very understandable! The best explanation of blockchain I have seen. Help me quite a lot. Thanks :)
Hi Ivan, I smashed the like button because you removed the feet walking in the water behind you. Thank you very much. However, now, in the background, we can see people moving behind their computers and it is distracting. In this video, it is not very troublesome because the whitepaper covers the background but could you please put a STATIC screen behind you. For instance, a light grey colour. When the journalists present the news on TV, nothing is moving behind them. Do you think that people would listen to the news if they could see people moving behind the journalist? It's not possible because of visual distraction. I don't understand why your team keeps on doing this mistake. Too bad!
Google would know who Satoshi is, if all the research was from websites, this is not the case here. Only two websites are cited. Another thing to note, Google was not the only search engine available at the time.
So basically, whats got us from being completely decentralized are the ASICs, if all nodes were once mining nodes; the only reason theyre not anymore is because of the ASICs making them incompetent. Would we even be having this discussion about centralization and mining in china? Sounds like we need to go back to the USB drives to make things safer. Aslong as almost everyone owns or operates a fully validating node.
This is how people were talking about the Constitution back in 1776, maybe we should write a whitepaper version and get people to buy ConstitutionCoin- get paid to uphold (uphodl) Freedom, even double-spend it!
Ivan. Why does everyone assume that a 51% attack will be done by a rational method. Example... if a mining pool has 51% and a kidnapper kidnaps the leader of the mining pool, the kidnapper may just want to destroy the bitcoin network and hence the incentive means nothing because he might just want bitcoin to be destroyed and then another coin can take its place and hence his job is done. Is this not the real threat of a 51% attack?
When you say that Google knows who wrote the whitepaper then you assuming that satsohi was using google ? What if he was not using google or using google in incognito mode ?
If I write on behalf of a company or a business I write "we", even if I am the only person in the company. ... Also Satoshi likely protected his privacy while using the Internet, but vocabulary and writing style analysis might have better results. Clif High and Bix Weir think Satoshi is Alan Greenspan, but I am pretty sceptical about staring at goats!
To say the BTC Whitepaper is the most important document in the world might be a slight overstatement. Hopefully there is more to life than blockchain and crypto; even though they are transformative in many ways :-)
It's pretty common for academic papers to say "we" even though it was written by just one author.
Creates the desired ambiguity that author wants concerning their identity

Im a chemist and yes.. Definitely no scientific paper says I

This is amazing! I am in the space 1 year...a baby, and I was scared to get to the white paper...but you made it so easy to get it. Huge thanks!
Thx
bitcoin was a reaction to the 2008 financial crisis god bless satoshi

Let's keep integrate it to prop up Fiat currency, so the governments don't feel cornered.
I need someone to have another reaction to this one
Maybe not a reaction, more a consequence.. 🤔
@@thecamelstory6693actually it’s more likely it was a underground group . Like cyberpunks which invented it and wanted it to become big .
Wow! This is teaching and knowledge sharing at a whole new level. This is great Ivan.

I’m 3 weeks in to my applied blockchain module yet I’ve learnt more in this video than I have at university...
That was pretty cool of ivan to take the time to explain the most important documents in cryptocurrency
At 21:19 you say the link to demonstration page is in the description, cant find it. Loved the video though. Please share the link of the demon page
Your storytelling makes learning about crypto so enjoyable.
Thank you Ivan.
I joined the blockchain ecosystem few days ago. I look forward to learning more!
Completed the video on 10/25/2023

thanks for your commitment to teach us every important thing of the whole space. 👍
Where can I read about the encoding scheme Satoshi used for Bitcoin?
Back in 2008 I was in college and today when I look back, I feel Satoshi Nakamoto was living 50 years ahead of us...
This is the best bitcoin white paper explanation i've ever watched. Thanks Ivan!
"Satoshi Nakamoto" Is a group of elite hackers
Thank you!
Great video. Helped me neatly understand the blockchain system. Thanks so much Ivan, you're a rockstar!
thank you
Funnily enough the WE brought me here. I wanted to know what others say about how interesting it is that Nakamoto write: "therefore WE propose".

Mr Smith It can't hurt it
thanks a ton for proving such tough information in easy way. thank you very much again brother.
Wow. What a great explanation.
Thank you very much for this
So would a miner who spent energy mining what went on to become a stale/orphan block not be able to spend the coins mined from that block?
Yes it would be rolled back
Okay, thanks. I really appreciate your videos by the way, this is a super useful source of valuable information and discussion. Excellent work man :)
Thanks for your work ivan

Great video and explanation, thanks Ivan
None of the 3000 and more cryptos are truly peer to peer, not even bitcoin.
Great video, like always.
When you say that Google knows who wrote the whitepaper then you assuming that satsohi was using google ? What if he was not using google or using google in incognito mode ?
You dont have to use Google for them to track you
Most websites integrate with Google in One way or another
