If I am not mistaken, there are also NO giveaways as some videos on youtube claiming to be cardano are doing. Do not fall for the send some get more back schemes. You will not get anything back. Check the iohk forums for evidence of this.
But when ADA good up in case, will you hold onto it out will you "cash out" to fiat? I don't understand this part. It seems like everyone is treating these things as commodities and not actual currency. I'm thoroughly confused as to what happens when you buy a currency? Are you investing in the blockchain/protocol when you buy ADA? Basically, are you buying into the ecosystem?
@@CinHalCedHerChance I'm assuming you're referring to increases in price. I've been buying it since it was 4 cents and haven't converted them back to dollars yet. Plenty of people buy it to simply sell it for a profit, but if you're a believer then yeah you're buying into the ecosystem. I'm not letting go of any of crypto until it becomes functional. To a certain extent bitcoin already is. My local liquor store installed a bitcoin atm. I can withdraw cash to buy things. We can even buy cars (Tesla) now. Hopefully I can buy more things directly in the future.

I bought my first tokens in 2018 for around $0.80, shortly after the crypto bubble started deflating. And kept buying small amounts as the price continued down. And loaded up in 2019 when ADA was under $0.05. I'm not worried about drops and dumps, because over a period of years I'm convinced the larger vision and the methodical, peer-reviewed development procedure Cardano has followed will prove out. Price appreciation will follow adoption and use.
Commenting for prosperity. The date is 12/13/21. ADA is down 60% from its August ATH and there is a ton of FUD around it. Many people accuse Charles of being a con artist. Can’t wait to visit this video in 5, 10, 20 years as my family grows with Cardano.

It was needed a different language to improve eth/solidity (uses Haskell based functional programming like banks), voting system, staking, lower gas fees, incentive decentralization. Most is out there already, the roadmap openly tells the plans ahead. Smart contracts are in under testing and will come with Goguen fork. If you only care about is fast gains most likely Cardano is not for you, there are tons of eth erc20 tokens speculators pump and dump every day

Great info whiteboard session from Charles and interesting to see that theoretical concepts from 5 years ago today are in plcae and working well. This creates trust in a cryprocurrency and shows that among a lot of crypto scams there are some real long term projects existing that will provide real world solutions for Bob, Alice and many others with real life problems!! Nice return is an understatement. This is the best investment you can make in the crypto space right now. I've never seen something so undervalued, everything about cardano is ground breaking.
It's a smart contracts platform that has a staking wallet. It probably has the best foundation of any cryptocurrency out there - two years in the making.
It should...even though other 'coins' like Ethereum have network effects in their favor, Cardano network can be upgraded in modular ways, having huge upgrade implementation time and flexibility advantages over their competitors. This project has so many things going for it, it's difficult to enumerate all the advantages in one paragraph.
HodlersWeekly do you know any trustworthy exchanges that allow purchasing bitcoin with USD? I currently use coinbase. They have many limitations that hinder me from buying and sending large quantities of bitcoin to Bittrex.
Do not use Kraken their is too much incompetence and site errors. I am sticking with Coinbase. Thanks for the suggestion. I did not lose money but I read the reviews. There is too much negativity. Though I honestly can't complain. I got hefty amount of (ADA) thus far and will be able to send more of it on Sunday to Bittrex.
Use GDAX to avoid coinbase fees when exchanging USD for crypto. I've got ADA too..don't feel safe leaving it on bittrex, but I use linux, so I'm hoping they come out with bug-free linux version of daedulous soon.

Wow, finally had time to start looking into Cardano, and I have to say I'm impressed! The vision, rigorous process (peer reviews, formal verifications etc.) and the clear communication is quite something the field as a whole should take a note.
I recommend when you find yourself concerned with green and red candles to go back and watch this and remember why you support this amazing project. I watched this video when it came out. I sold my bitcoin and ETH and bought ADA It’s been ups and downs, tears and joy I sold some of my ADA -building my dream restaurant at my dream location. As i write this Paid off my debt Gave a big loan to a great project with a 5 year payback plan (5% intrest) Bought a new kitchen and a new bath room to my mom how help refugees her whole life And i stil hold 40% of my ADA I know its not the core of cardano but im not a crypto/blockchain expert and just passed 40 yrs. Im aware this will be some extremly expensive investments/gifts etc in the future BUT i wont look back 😅 One day i will think of a perfect use case for me personally to build on cardano And keep buying new ADA with my profits Thats just my cardano story

I personally think in near future those coins with the best technologies and innovation such as ADA will succeed much more than Bitcoin and Bitcoin is popular just because it is ancestor, otherwise, it is missing high tech!

Cardano seems to be achieving their long term goals such as the implementation of smart contracts in the next phase after Shelley. Before I start investing, smart contracts and bridging of crypto into our current world are definitely my focus on understanding this crypto more.
Before you guys starts investing, research "Hashgraph". They are beyond the issues Cardano is having. Keep in mind HASHGRAPH is a new technology and no coin is out with it yet. They were able to run an MMO on this new decentralized platform with zero issues.

In Charles Hoskinson we trust. And our faith is based not only on understanding the technical details of the project, but also on understanding that decency and fairness are worth more than money for him.
We didn´t need a system this dominate a outer system. We need a system what coevolution with outer systems. We need ETH we need NEO we need Bitcoin and the outer projects they are in progess. Diversity is very importent for a stable system an we want a smart economy and not the same economy the waste energy and time. Monopols a very instability an inefficient. Because of that i love this project Cardano and i hope the community grows For me is NEO also a Gen 3 project.
Here's my prediction of where Cardano will be in 2030... let me know if I'm right in 9 years! 1. It will be the largest Cryptocurrency by market cap in the world at more than $10tn (potentially $50tn+) 2. It will be the largest currency, or only viable currency, in most if not all 2nd and 3rd world countries (Africa, Middle East, South America primarily) 3. Charles will be a household name amongst the likes of Steve Jobs and Elon Musk 4. You will be able to use ADA to buy anything, anywhere, anytime, especially as Starlink connects the entire globe together
It makes< sense, BTC and crypto is off helping to regulate, rather that pretend it won't ever happen. The big institutions getting in is the catalyst that will launch us into the stratosphere. Most people don't like change but after the change is made they grow used to it and it becomes a non issue usually because their fears never materialize. And benefits they were unaware with before turn out to be far more beneficial. Few if any rug pulls. The projects that initiated the process of regulation have not been ruined, they got involved in setting guidelines and helping the regulators understand the crypto space. It was needed a different language to improve eth/solidity (uses Haskell based functional programming like banks), voting system, staking, lower gas fees, incentive decentralization. Most is out there already, the roadmap openly tells the plans ahead. Smart contracts are in under testing and will come with Goguen fork. If you only care about is fast gains most likely Cardano is not for you, there are tons of eth erc20 tokens speculators pump and dump every day

Great info whiteboard session from Charles and interesting to see that theoretical concepts from 5 years ago today are in plcae and working well. This creates trust in a cryprocurrency and shows that among a lot of crypto scams there are some real long term projects existing that will provide real world solutions for Bob, Alice and many others with real life problems!! Go for it Cardano!
Every now and then I listen this in the background while I'm working and I always learn something new.
Old school presentation, no gimmicks like IOTA, a decent idea for extension of the protocol, completely open source, a Guy who has proved himself before. I think this is something everyone should invest.

It should...even though other 'coins' like Ethereum have network effects in their favor, Cardano network can be upgraded in modular ways, having huge upgrade implementation time and flexibility advantages over their competitors. This project has so many things going for it, it's difficult to enumerate all the advantages in one paragraph.
HodlersWeekly do you know any trustworthy exchanges that allow purchasing bitcoin with USD? I currently use coinbase. They have many limitations that hinder me from buying and sending large quantities of bitcoin to Bittrex.
Sorry, the only ones I know of is Coinbase and Kraken, but I've only used Coinbase, so I don't know how Kraken is, but I think they accept USD.
Do not use Kraken their is too much incompetence and site errors. I am sticking with Coinbase. Thanks for the suggestion. I did not lose money but I read the reviews. There is too much negativity. Though I honestly can't complain. I got hefty amount of (ADA) thus far and will be able to send more of it on Sunday to Bittrex.
Use GDAX to avoid coinbase fees when exchanging USD for crypto. I've got ADA too..don't feel safe leaving it on bittrex, but I use linux, so I'm hoping they come out with bug-free linux version of daedulous soon.
I am going to come here 4 years later in 2025 and pat my back for making a good decision. It's history right here. He is the Elon Musk of block chain technology in making!

I'm so glad to have witnessed this in my late 20's and in the early years of this great project and knowing that my investment in Cardano ADA is one of my biggest and best decision ever.
I'm 56. I've got a long trail of investment decisions behind me that didn't pan out. Maybe I shouldn't be so confident Cardano is finally the one that will pay off, but nevertheless I am.

It’s been ups and downs, tears and joy
I sold some of my ADA
-building my dream restaurant at my dream location. As i write this
Paid off my debt
Gave a big loan to a great project with a 5 year payback plan (5% intrest)
Bought a new kitchen and a new bath room to my mom how help refugees her whole life
And i stil hold 40% of my ADA
I know its not the core of cardano but im not a crypto/blockchain expert and just passed 40 yrs.
Im aware this will be some extremly expensive investments/gifts etc in the future BUT i wont look back 😅
One day i will think of a perfect use case for me personally to build on cardano
And keep buying new ADA with my profits

Cardano is one of the best projects, for those who missed investing in bitcoin back in 2010, here is another golden opportunity to make millions in the next few years, as of 4th January 2021 Cardano (ADA) is still less than 20 cents guys so it is high time to make a fortune! I personally think in near future those coins with the best technologies and innovation such as ADA will succeed much more than Bitcoin and Bitcoin is popular just because it is ancestor, otherwise, it is missing high tech!

Brilliant. Charles is a great educator. He’s well steeped in cryptocurrency challenge, but he doesn’t talk over my head. Even in the places where I barely have a clue what he’s describing, his vocabulary is accessible enough to allow a big picture conceptualization. Thoroughly enjoyable, too.
Thank you, Charles, for explaining such a difficult technology in simple layman terms. Looking at Cardano from 2021. Cardano seems to be achieving their long term goals such as the implementation of smart contracts in the next phase after Shelley. Before I start investing, smart contracts and bridging of crypto into our current world are definitely my focus on understanding this crypto more.

Before you guys starts investing, research "Hashgraph". They are beyond the issues Cardano is having.
Keep in mind HASHGRAPH is a new technology and no coin is out with it yet. They were able to run an MMO on this new decentralized platform with zero issues.

Here's my prediction of where Cardano will be in 2030... let me know if I'm right in 9 years!
1. It will be the largest Cryptocurrency by market cap in the world at more than $10tn (potentially $50tn+)
2. It will be the largest currency, or only viable currency, in most if not all 2nd and 3rd world countries (Africa, Middle East, South America primarily)
3. Charles will be a household name amongst the likes of Steve Jobs and Elon Musk
4. You will be able to use ADA to buy anything, anywhere, anytime, especially as Starlink connects the entire globe together

It makes< sense, BTC and crypto is off helping to regulate, rather that pretend it won't ever happen. The big institutions getting in is the catalyst that will launch us into the stratosphere. Most people don't like change but after the change is made they grow used to it and it becomes a non issue usually because their fears never materialize. And benefits they were unaware with before turn out to be far more beneficial. Few if any rug pulls. The projects that initiated the process of regulation have not been ruined, they got involved in setting guidelines and helping the regulators understand the crypto space. I’d get involved more knowing that I have made over 16` btc from day-trade with Stephanie Copeland Crypto in few weeks
